"That'th... Mathter Malodore? And I thought my appearenth wath rediculouth." Christof blurted out incredulously before he could stop himself. Maybe the third ice cream cone had been a bad idea. His girlish face lit up all the same before obediantly holding the bill up to the taller woman, "I thtill hawe it, Mithtreth! But I hawe no idea what to-" He hesitated, spotting something shiny amongst the shelves with a curious, excited noise, "Ooooh- they carry Partth!!" He exclaimed with glee, hefting up what looked like a rather nice severed leg only to frown. It was made of foam. "What- w-why...??" As though frustrated, he promptly took out his frustration by swinging it like a baseball bat against the shelf as though to test it's durability. Perhaps it was a training toy?

"It's all fakery, Christof," Malodore said hurriedly, though it made no move to interrupt the swinging of the false leg. It didn't trust the flimsy human limbs not to collapse on impact or something. "And I did not dress myself. I did not," it replied, taking a step back to peer at another aisle. Maybe they had better clothing here?? ... "... Sexy Pirate?" it quoted a box, tugging it off the shelf. "What makes a pirate 'sexy'?" Indeed, all of these costume boxes and bags featured human females in short skirts with oddly long legs, each with the epithet 'sexy' before the costume name. "Sexy Firewoman, Sexy Chef, Sexy Nurse..." It eyed that one a bit longer, then shook its head. Ridiculous! That fabric was wholly unsuitable for medical work!

Riley snickered under her breath, and let Malodore go, once he started taking interest in the other aisles. She bent down to whisper in Christof's ear, and actually whispered - which was fun. "I think it's upset about it's disguise." She teased, grinning giddily.
She had been just as upset, at first - now, she was quite satisfied with her lot.
"Go one now, pick something out - don't break anything, please." She straightened up as she shoo'd Christof. "If you break it, I believe you have to buy it.. and then your choice will have been made for you."
She went off into a new aisle, which had delightful capes on display.

"Itth all rubbith," Christof pouted in response, letting the leg drop before plodding along. Rubber bats, robot witches, it was all useless, pointless things. He wanted something good. Something interesting, something he couldn't find at home. With a sigh, he continued his search, spotting a wall of hats before grumpily trying each on. He wasn't much of a hat person, but they had one that looked a lot like Master Malodore's, only it was purple, which he liked, but had an odd, furry trim around the edge and black and white stripes on the inside. As though protesting, he popped it on and moved along to another wall of horrible plastic masks. He found one that looked a bit like a horse, removing the hat to pull it on as well, and continued on his search... Maybe he should just spend his twenty human "dollars" on candy.

Sure to keep her glee to a minimum, Belladonna did her best to keep Byron from skipping around the mall. It was really hard. But she prevailed and followed Mort's lead, her eyes wide open as they took in all the sights and sounds and colors and smells and multitude of possibilities. Human perfumes and colognes sounded just awful, if the smells of the humans were any indication. Everything smelt so alive and fresh and ripe. No, thank you! Belladonna would take rotting roses over fresh ones any day. Food sounded nice, but she wasn't sure she wanted to spend her only 20 Human Money on food. No, it had to be special. Perfect and special and-- YES. With hands swinging and a goofy grin on her face, Belladonna allowed herself to follow behind Mary, just glad that even though this was all very silly, it was turning out quite well. And while the photobooth had certainly seen better days, Belladonna certainly wouldn't object. "Its perfect." She said through Byron's goofy grin. As Mary looked up to her, Belladonna tried not to laugh when Mort issued a line that, on any other day, would have sent her heart a fluttering. As he was, it almost made her burst into a fit of giggles. But it was Mort that said it, so she smiled back at him and ushered the small girl inside. It was still the thought that counted. "Normal, silly... What other 2?" She asked as she gave the camera a small, hopefully male-ish smile. And with only 3 Human Money spent, that left 17 for books! Hooray!

Book in hand, the wolfos looked over, trying to find the one who called his name. He sniffed the air and twitched. The smell of humans was so thick it was hard to pick up anything else. Humans and oil, grease. Looking around the wolfos sighed. "Yes? I am here, whoever seeks Frost in the Storm." That got a few looks from the passing humans.

"Er...Scary n' cuddle?" Mort suggested as the machine spat out several green pieces of paper in return: three with "$5" printed on the corners and two with "$1". So humans couldn't even stick to one number! It must make these machines so bothered with all the pointless calculations it had to do for food that didn't even taste good. He patted the booth sympathetically before dicking under the curtain with Bells for the short photo op. Ow. Flash. Why did human need it so damn /bright/? Blinking owlishly to rid himself of the spots, Mort pulled the small strip of pictures for scrutinizing. They still looked like Byron and Mary, soba least their disguises held...Though that also meant the so-called "scary photo" was about as frightening as a mewling kitten; his curled fingers and baring of teeth looked so pitiful as a human. Still, he handed them to Bells with a smile, rubbing at his eyes. "Not bad for so little money." And now, books! It was Mort's turn to be gleeful as he dragged her along inside, beelining for the psychology section. No less than four books were pulled off the shelf at a time, each pertaining to either the human's hilarious attempts to get over "phobias", the inner workings of men and women, or in the case of one book a self-help tone to communication and confidence. Books were out back as he compared prices, slowly amassing a handful to pick from. "Is like treasure trove of knowledge," he commented with bright eyes. "Mrrrrr~" Someone gave him a strange look for the sound, but he paid no mind.

Leo had been about to answer Mei ('the mud thing was kinda a guess') when the voice came again, pins were handed out and worn, and she watched as the other ghoul seemingly turned into a taller, black-clothed male human. "Right, sorry, got distracted by the whole... you turning male thing." She grinned before pinning her own pin to her shirt. And promptly looked shorter, younger and distinctively more male as well. "Wow, these are pretty effective." She threw a smile at Mei, "Alright, I'm ready now! Let's go." ((Pasty, pimple-faced thirteen year old boy in a pair of black shorts and a blue tshirt))

She followed the others through the portal and was instantly bombarded with colour. There was colour everywhere, on the people, the rooms filled with human stuff, the walls, everything seemed to have a whole new colour to Leo's poor eyes. It took a few seconds of rubbing said eyes before she felt ready to really examine her surroundings again and when she did, all she could do was gape. Everything was so, so new - even the things she recognized, like the skellyphone the ghoul walking by was using, looked totally different than its Halloween incarnation.
And there were humans everywhere, talking, sitting, walking, trying on the weird clothes in those little rooms, human scarelings playing with toys in another one of the rooms... So many humans. These were definitely not like the humans from the lair task she and Mei had done; for one thing, these humans generally looked happy, or at least content, from what she could tell.
But she had a task this time too. Well, not one as serious as the lair task had been; at least she didn't think so, although hugging a human was a daunting prospect. Hugging five seemed insurmountable.
But she had to do it! Nodding to herself, Leo threw herself in the way of her first human - and nearly got a concussion to thank for it. The human was chatting on its skellyphone and hadn't noticed her; while it babbled what sounded like apologies, Leo quickly consulted her Field Classification handbook. Yes, this human (female, she was pretty sure) definitely seemed to be a Chatty Human. Unfortunately the tips for encountering a Chatty Human were quite lacking; should not what? Was it a typo? She considered - it could be a typo. Alright, so she'd try nodding.
Apparently that was the right thing to do, because the human female stopped blabbering quite so fast and looked relieved. It didn't last long though, because quickly it started up again, making great big gestures to accompany its words. Would she ever get a chance to hug this thing? It was waving its arms around so much, going in for a hug now could be hazardous.
Luckily the Chatty Human stopped to take a breath and as it did, Leo threw herself at it with determination. Her leap took the human by surprise, and quickly they were down on the floor, the disguised Mare on top of the surprised (and increasingly red-faced) human. She went for a quick, hard squeeze, but before she could move back from the human, it'd started shouting something and slapped her in the face.
Leo blinked, surprised. Was this normal when hugging humans? Well, perhaps she'd been just a bit too aggressive in her approach. The human had dis-entangled them and was now stalking off, still shouting something that sounded vaguely like 'nerdy perverts'. Leo shrugged, nonplussed. It wasn't her problem that the human was so fussy.

Money? Needle tilted her head, holding the paper rectangle out in front of her. This was...really weird looking. She scrunched her paper, testing how flexible it was, and was only confused further. She nearly tore it before she stopped, treating it like it was breakable.
"Do they not value their things? It is breakable!" Humans were strange! She patted herself down until she found a pocket, and slid the folded piece of apparent money into it. Okay, she'd do that later; she had some humans to hug, and was delighted that she could even hug them!
As Muka went off to hug whomever came across him, Needle looked around to do the same; almost immediately she spotted a huge male wearing an odd shirt. It was predominantly black but had yellow accents, and what looked like a stripped feline creature on the front. She stared at him for a moment or two and then down to the book she held, flipping through it to try and figure out what type he was.
She found his subspecie - the sports human - and read on how to deal with them. Then, and only then, did she feel safe enough to approach him. It was always best to be prepared, after all!
"Excuse me, what is that?" She pointed at the emblem, and the large human didn't even have to look down at himself before going into a long explanation; apparently it was a Tiger Cat and it was the mascot for Hamilton's Football Team. None of these words rang any bells with her so she simply stood there and smiled, nodding here and there as he started prattling on about how a Quarterback did this one thing and how the Ref was full of 'it'.
He seemed like he could go on forever.
"Fantastic. May I hug you?" She sounded same as always, flat toned and soft spoken, but she extended her arms above her head expectantly. He didn't seem to need much prompting as he gave a boisterous laugh and leaned down, scooping her up like she was a ragdoll for a tighter-than-life hug. Shortly after he put her down (and ruffled her hair saying that she was alright), some other large males called for his attention and he galloped off to join his herd.
"Weeeeird." Okay, well, huh. She looked over her shoulder for Muka and drifted over to him once she had found him. "I think he tried to crush me."

Malodore had by now discarded all of the 'sexy' science and medical costumes with expressions of extreme disdain, shoving them all down below some masses of false spiderweb so that this world would not be tainted unduly by such folly. And it was supposed to buy something from here? It was all cheap trash! It rounded the corner, whacking into a false skeleton on the way because the terrible mask wrecked its peripheral vision. " Mia cara?" it said, plaintively. "Christof?"

Upon returning to the group Mitsu found a rather interesting surprise as the DETH associates began to pass out money. She held the twenty between her fingers, her thumbs rolling over the bill lightly. Seeming excited all of a sudden she looked to Shun and then pointed back the way they had come.

Shun looked over the money curiously. Humans used strange currency to say in the very least. Though, while he was intrigued, it seemed that Mitsu was rather excited now. Raising an eyebrow, he nodded to her before beginning to walk back towards where they had come from.
"I take it you have an idea of what you would like to buy?"

She nodded, gently folding the bill and tucking it into the pocket of her jeans for now. "Yes, I think I do but I didn't look at any prices before so I hope I have enough."
Reaching out she took Shun's arm as they made their way through the mall, smiling up at him. "What do you think you'll buy?"

"I'm not certain yet. I'll have to take a look around," replied Shun with a shrug. He soon paused briefly as he felt her take his arm, looking down. That along with her smile caused his features to soften as he comfortably walked along side by side with her.
"What were you thinking of getting? If you have enough, that is?"
