Mot of course accepted the hug, feeling a little better that he'd helped out Mitsu. It kind of made up for blowing her off earlier. Kind of.

Though, there she went again. Almost calling him someone else. Who was Gin? Wait... Then he remembered. She had mentioned her brother Ginji before. Did... he remind her of him?

...Mot was honestly touched if that was the case. It gave him the warm fuzzies.

He stepped back as she released him, giving her a warm smile. "I'm sure you will."

Hel blinked as Mot bust through the door, but immediately went on the defensive when the cowboil shot behind her…to keep away from Riyo? The ghoul was probably encouraging this behavior as one arm came out to help keep Mot behind her and out of the cat demoness’ reach, and said cat demoness had a pair of two toned eyes narrowed at her. Eyes that dared her to try. Apparently she didn’t have to worry though, as Riyo became distracted by the statues….and then the catnip.

The reaper sighed. “Good job, Kite.”

The ghoul relaxed then since Mot was safe for the time being, glancing back at the cowboil at his suggestion, and then over at Mitsu and Shun…something seemed off between the two. Hel’s brows furrowed as she then watched go over and then…woah…take his hat off and give it to the Lycan. The reaper blinked, staring a bit dumbfounded at the gesture, considering she’d probably have to bet him hardcore just to get it off his head usually…and here he was just giving it to her. Huh. All kinds of weird things were happening in this house…

Hel looked over at Shun, her brows furrowing more when she realized that he seemed distracted. Her lips pulled down into a frown though at the suggestion be put forth. “Wait, wait.” She called out. “They’re both going to lead forward.” Hel reasoned, “They’re doors!” The ghoul stated this as if it was obvious, and placed her hands on her hips. “The question is which one is the way forward to the next room?” She rubbed her chin, staring at the statues again. “Why can’t we ask questions?”

The warm smile seemed to uplift Mitsu a little despite her earlier emotional storm. Mot had a calming effect, much like her brother had. He was just cheery and happy and it radiated from his person in waves. It was hard not to be effected by it. It gave Mitsu the time to rethink that maybe she was overreacting. After all, it wasn't like she and Shun were a couple. Okay, sad thoughts were back.

Glancing over her shoulder at the reaper and seeing him a ways off Mitsu turned back to Mot. "Mot...can...I ask you something?" Her brother had always been rather helpful maybe Mot could offer her advise as well. "H..how is the best way to talk to someone...about how you feel when it just makes you nervous?" The last part was spoken softly so only the cowboil could hear.

Mot tilted his head as Mitsu asked for advice. He nodded, leaning down so she wouldn't `t have to speak too loudly. If her behavior and not so subtle glance at Shun said anything, it was that it was a personal question.

Hmm. Now this was tough. The reaper hummed to himself as he thought, rubbing his chin with one hand while his other leaned on his knee. "Well... I guess there are a few ways, though none of them are easy. When something, or someone, makes you nervous, it's very hard to push yourself forward unless you really want to." Mot was a fan of subtlety. Taking things on head on like Hel wasn't his style.. usually. It was a trait he admired, but not one he applied to himself.

"One way is to come up with the best case scenario before you talk to them. It makes you less nervous than imagining the worst." It would help if Mot knew what was bothering Mitsu, but drilling the ghoul on the goings on here and now was not an appropriate time. It was about how she felt, and she seemed preoccupied with Shun earlier. Hmm...
"Sometimes its hard to think positive, but if you let yourself imagine the worst, your courage suffers for it." He paused, hoping all of this wasn't too vague. "I know its hard, but to be honest with your feelings is a good thing. Be brave."

There never seemed to be an easy path. No matter how much Mitsu looked for one it eluded her. What Mot said was true, while Mitsu had touched on how she felt slightly she hadn't revealed all her feelings to the reaper. She had been too nervous that despite his acceptance he would reject her and Mitsu wasn't quite prepared to deal with that scenario.

"Best case scenario?" In an ideal world Mitsu would tell Shun her feelings and he would feel the same. They would cuddle and hug and he would give her ear scratchings (it was a guilty pleasure okay) and life would be grand. But they did not live in a perfect world as Mitsu was well aware of. Things went wrong, words didn't come out right, and sometimes those feelings weren't shared.

"I dunno, I just...don't feel like myself." What had happened in the last room had certainly sent her emotions on a whirlwind of a ride. It still plagued her now and she felt like Shun was avoiding her by walking away. "I don't feel like I'm good enough."

Mot frowned, clearly unhappy with what Mitsu said. "Don't say that Mitsu." He replied back, trying to keep his voice down so as not to draw much attention to their conversation. "Never feel that you aren't good enough. You're a sweet, kind and wonderful ghoul. I'm lucky to have a friend like you." The boil patted the ghoul's shoulder reassuringly. He didn't want Mitsu to feel so poorly about herself. She needed to know how amazing she was. She deserved to feel good about herself.

"And.." His eyes glanced at Shun, before returning to Mitsu. "Any boil you give your heart to had better be worth it. If you ever run into trouble, you come to me. Got it?"

Neither door opened. Speaking in unison, they replied. "Chose only one door."

Suddenly, as if upset with the talk, the catnip burst into cold flames. Another platform, across another chasm, was a level. Gears could be heard grinding above them, and the hanging blade began to sway.

Unaware that there was anything being discussed behind him, Shun paused as he heard the gears moving, causing large blades to start swinging. The comment the statues made also had him frowning. So much for trying to get more information out of them. But as far as trying to figure out what one was the right door, he didn't have much of a clue. His mind was still too muddled for him to really figure that out.

Perhaps he should leave that for the rest to figure out. They still needed a way to get across.

Oh wait. There was a lever on the other side. Gauging the distance, it seemed to be within his range.

"You guys figure out which door to take," he said to the others, not wanting to put his mind to that right now.

Taking in a deep breath, he watched the blade swing, waiting for when he had a clear line of sight to where the lever was. Once he had it, he shadow stepped over to his destination, leaving small wisps in his wake at both points. Standing by the lever now, he reached for it to pull."

Mitsu quietly listen to the cowboil. His words were sweet and often something her brother would tell her but she just didn't always feel that was true. It still made her smile a little though as she reached out to tug at Mot's sleeve affectionately. "I'm lucky to have a friend like you too."

Maybe she would talk to Shun, despite her fears. Mitsu certainly felt like Shun was worth it. "Thank you, Mot. I think...I will try to say something." A nervous smile crossed her lips as Mitsu turned.....and in a puff of wispy black smoke Shun was gone and on the other side of the chasm. Huff Puff....and why was it height again? Sweet Sally it was always so high up.

Hel stared at the statues intently, and puffed out her cheeks when they didn’t give any more helpful hints. The reaper tensed for a moment as the cat n** also happened to burst into flame, and immediately reached out to grab Riyo’s hood and pull the demoness away from it. Once that was done, her head snapped up as she heard gears turning above them, and saw the blade start to sway. “…Oh Jack.” She muttered. They were under pressure now…great.

The valkyrie looked over as Shun told them to figure the door out, and watched him teleport over to the level. Oh! Maybe that would lower the bridge? While he did that, the reaper turned towards her team mates, tugging at one of her braids in frustration. “I am thinking the left door!” She uttered in a rush. “The right side is always common, the left side is hardly chosen!” That was her logic behind it.

????

Thankfully, or perhaps unfortunately, another decision unfolded in the group's eyes. A third door opened up, a ghost-like figure stepping out. They took one more step before hesitating.

"You have one more choice," they began, voice barely audible, "this door will lead you to somewhere familiar and foreign at once." The figure said nothing else, simply waiting.

ANOTHER DOOR?

- Characters can INDIVIDUALLY choose to step into the last door. If they do so, simply step next to the ??? figure. There is something different about this door though....
PostPosted: Tue Oct 18, 2011 10:55 pm

Just as he hit the lever, Shun noticed a third door popping up. Was that what the lever did? Dammit! He didn't need a third choice here. He needed to get the others across!

Oh wait. Someone was coming out. Summoning his daggers as a precaution as he didn't know who or what it was, he stared at the figure, the Reaper glanced from him to the rest of the group. Somewhere familiar yet foreign? That was incredibly cryptic. But right now, that was the best lead they had yet for where they needed to go.

Was it? His mind was still not thinking straight. The door was.. kinda different. He couldn't put his finger on it though.

"I don't know about you guys but I think this is our best bet," he said while making his way to stand by the guy. Now how the hell to get the rest of the guys across? The Reaper thought the lever would drop the bridge... oh wait.

"Oi. Statues. Let the others across already."

Hel was staring at each of her team mates intently…until she heard a barely audible voice from someone not belonging on her team.

The ghoul whipped around, peering across the chasm at the appearance of a third door. The reaper tensed briefly, staring at the figure that just appeared through the door as well. “Somewhere familiar…yet foreign?” She echoed, furrowing her brows. She wasn’t sure what to make of that, but this new door was much more appealing to the valkyrie than the other two. A fellow Halloweener appeared from it, that was a great start in the right direction, or so Hel thought! She watched as Shun decided to take that door, watching him move closer to the ghost boil after pulling the lever.

Hel turned her head briefly, staring at her team mates as she waited for the bridge. “I’m going through that new door as well.” As soon as the bridge was lowered. She still couldn’t fly with those blades in the air…

The plant...

That Riyo had been rolling in...

Was on fire.

COLD fire.

Dilated eyes somehow widening even more, The ghoul immediately moved away from it.

Oh look. There was a blue flame on her clothing.

"Ah... AH.. AHHH! OH JACK I DON'T KNOW IF SAYING IT BURNS WOULD BE THE CORRECT TERM!" For a moment, the cat ghoul ran around in circles, until she finally remembered. "STOP, DROP, ROLL! STOP, DROP, ROLL!" Immediately the ghoul dropped to the ground and started rolling like a tumbleweed.

Amidst her screams, Riyo heard Hel mention something about a new door. "NEW DOOR. YES. I CHOOSE DOOR 3, BOB. LETS GO."

Woah! Riyo was on fire! Woah! Blades on ceiling! Aah! Shun transported!

Mot wasn't even sure what to do anymore. At least he wasn't a scared, depressed cowboil like he had been for most of the trip. Helping Mitsu with ehr problem eased his own.

Just then, a ghost-like Halloweener appeared. He was pretty sure he was a ghost. That or his senses were off from all the catnip in the air.
Still, he offered a choice. It could spell disaster, however, since it was one of their own offering and not an unhelpful statue..

"Let's go. Third door it is."
