Alex sighed and looked away. She didn't bother pulling her hand out of Luke's anymore. "I really don't know about that one." she replied. "I'm not sure I'd have the patience or know-how for it."

Luke smiled, and got a little closer to Alex now.
"I don't have the know-how either, but luckily for me I can get advice from my mom and dad. They could help... uh, me. Or you."
Luke had been very close to accidentally saying "us".

Alex looked up at him as he moved closer to her, and blushed a bit and tried to take a step back. "I...well...thank you. But....I really don't plan on having children any time soon. This is probably the worst possible time to even think about that. You know?"

Luke shrugged. "Yeah... I suppose," he said. "But it's nice to dream, y'know?"
He finally let her hand go, still unaware that he had gripped it in the first place, and shrugged.
"So... Gotham City, huh?" he asked. "Never heard of it."

"Yeah..." she replied as she crossed her arms in front of her and began walking down the hall again. "I've been in Gotham quite a few times. Most of them with Batman."

"Okay, who is Batman?" Lucas asked. "I've definitely never heard of him, so he can't be from my universe. You've told me a bit about him, but... who is he?"

"He's.......well....one of the biggest protectors of Gotham City." she replied. "From what I understand, the one I was with isn't the one that everyone in Gotham knows....so I'm guessing he's from another timeline or universe. We've had a couple people with that kind of problem. I've seen him in and out of costume, but I don't have a name. Never asked. Don't really like to get into personal info like that."

Luke raised an eyebrow, and there were traces of jealousy in the pheromones he was sending out, but it was not as blatant as the first time this had occurred. Still noticeable, however.

Alex caught it, and paused to look back at him. She was very, very tempted to tease him about it. But.....she'd upset him enough at the hotel unintentionally. She wasn't sure what he'd do if she teased him.
Still, she couldn't help but smirk at him. "What? I've seen you in and out of costume too."
Though not as interestingly as I seen Batman out of costume...

Luke made a ">_<" face, and scowled, his jealousy pheromones spiking higher, and he folded his arms, huffing like a spoiled child.
"Yeah, well..." he muttered, looking away and still looking grumpy.

Alex covered her mouth to stifle a giggle. Okay...she had to now.
"What? You're not jealous....are you? I mean, sure he has amazingly intense blue eyes......a cute little smirk.....and the way his costume wraps around his frame...." Alex mused as she slowly tuned away from Luke to seem as though she was drifting into thought.

"Alright, I get the picture!" Luke interjected, waving his hands in the air hurriedly. "I'm sure he's incredibly attractive and all that! Good with the ladies too!"
He stopped, and went back to grumbling incoherently, still with that bratty look on his face.

Alex snorted and giggled. She turned fully towards Lucas and gave him a smile. "I'm sorry...I couldn't help it." she replied, then grinned more. "But yes...I imagine lots of girls have a major little crush on Batman. In and out of costume. I am...unfortunately not immune."

That did not help Luke's mood at all. He just grunted, not looking at her.
"Oh, look at me, I'm Batman and I get all the girls..." he said in a high-pitched, mocking tone, moving his hand in a "talking" manner.

Alex laughed again, then put a hand on his shoulder. "I'm sorry. You're just....too cute when you're jealous. For what it's worth...he doesn't have your muscles, he hasn't saved my life on more than one occasion...getting himself hurt in the process...........and I haven't kissed him yet so I don't know if he faints or not."
