"You may all relax", exclaimed Ayamae, those words rung up in May's head when she heard her name while sleeping in the middle of class yet again. "Did someone call my name?", she spoke in a sleepy mood fore she hadn't had much sleep in her dorm because of the little argument in the Hufflepuff lobby room.

Meiko walks in with her usual serene look as she carried her quill, book, and notebook. She approaches the professor and asked. "Professor, are we going to do something today?"

Sparrow flinched as Professor Ayamae put the cigarette out in the cauldron. She thought for sure they were all going to explode! Then when Professor told them it was a calming solution she frowned and said, "That wasn't funny." Sparrow had really been worried and then thought she should have noticed the difference between a splosion potion and a calming solution. She had read about them enough times and there weren't all that similar. She then put a slight smile on her face while looking at the Professor.

Ayamae chuckled at Sparrow's comment. "It wasn't meant to be funny. It was meant to get your heart racing and your blood pounding." Ayamae produced a small goblet full of the clear potion. She placed it on the desk in front of Sparrow. "That ought to help."

Sparrow smiled at Professor Ayamae understanding that she wanted that type of reaction finally. Sparrow eyed the goblet full of potion and took it. She took a couple sips and started to feel much calmer and relaxed. She lightened up and all her worries left her mind in a state of calm.

Cloud was grinning during the entire ordeal of the classroom thinking that they would be blown into pieces. It excited her. She pulled out a notebook, and turned it to a blank page so she could begin copying down the ingredients for the Calming Solution.

Lena
Suddenly noticing Professor Akahana light a cigarette, Lena gaped, wondering if it was a dangerous thing to do beside a potion that seemed so seriously dangerous. And as the professor teased Sparrow by approaching the cauldron, she let out a small, barely audible gasp. But then, as she listened to the teacher, she began to understand what was going on. Relieved that the potion wasn’t what it had seemed to be, Lena let out a small and almost silent nervous laugh. She then took out a note book, some ink and a quill and began writing down ‘Calming Solution’ at the top of a page. She understood why Professor Akahana had tried to scare the students, but it didn’t make her feel any better about it. She hadn’t liked being scared like that. Lena continued to listen and with everything that was being said and done, Lena watched eagerly as Sparrow drank the potion and then at the teacher again. She didn’t know if she should be relieved or scared. She was confused and underlined the the few words she had written down as she waited for something else to be said or an assignment to be given.

Seeing that professor Akahana was a bit busy chatting with the other students, Meiko quietly made her way to her usual spot in class. She saw Cloud nearby and said to her in a friendly tone as she brought her quill and notebook out. "Hey, Cloud~ What are we gonna do today?"

Cloud smiled as Meiko appeared next to her. She gestured to her notebook.
Calming Solutions. I'm just waiting for Ayamae to tell us how to actually make it...

Alright, kiddies! Ingredients are as follows!
3 cups of water
3 crushed rose petals
3 drops of vanilla
A pinch of powdered unicorn horn
and
a tablespoonful of crushed beetle eyes.
STEPS:
STEP ONE: Fill up your cauldron and warm the water. This will take a few minutes.
STEP TWO: Once the water is warmed, sprinkle the rose petals over it and stir so that the juices in the petals get worked through the water.
STEP THREE: Add the vanilla and stir again.
STEP FOUR: Bring the water to a boil and add the beetle eyes. Stir counterclockwise 12 times and add a clockwise stir at the end.
STEP FIVE: Allow the mixture to cool for ten minutes and then sprinkle the powdered unicorn horn over it. Stir it in any way you want.
STEP SIX: This is where the potion gets weird. Now you have to freeze it. Just ladle out a cup of the mixture, put your name on it, and then come put it in this giant muggle freezer that I have next to my desk.
DO NOT FREEZE THE MIXTURE USING MAGIC. It has to freeze slowly over time.
STEP SEVEN: We'll take the cups out tomorrow, and reheat them. I'll get into the specifics of that when we get to it.

 Liviana materialized in the doorway, her usually alert disposition marred by an general unkemptness and bedraggled look. She dragged her heavy, rusty, second-hand cauldron behind her. In a dull voice, she said, "Forgive me for not coming to class Professor Akahana."
(Sorry! Student teaching is taking up a lot of my time! I can't promise to be on often, but I didn't want to get expelled. Do you want me to make up all of my work? sweatdrop )

Lena carefully wrote down the steps and ingredients to the calming solution in her notebook. She then got her cauldron and the tools she would need for the potion as well as the ingredients and filled the cauldron with water using agumenti. Pointing her wand at the bottom of the cauldron, she lit it up using incendio and waited a few minutes until the water was warm. She picked up the rose petals and began to sprinkle them on top of the water. She then began to stir the contents until the petal juice seemed to be worked through the water. Adding the vanilla, she stirred once more until all seemed to be well mixed. Lena then put fire back to the cauldron and sat down to drawing images such as a cauldrons onto the page which contained the potion's notes as she waited for it to come to a boil.

Sparrow was still calm from the goblet of potion professor had given her. She looked at the board and wrote down the instructions and ingredients. She then went and got all the ingredients she would need. Sparrow then cast Aguamente to put water in her cauldron and then waited for it to warm up. She then read step to and sprinkled the rose petals over the concoction and stirred it a little. Sparrow added the vanilla as well and stirred once more. Sparrow then waited for it to boil and added the beetle eye just as the instructions said. Sparrow started humming. The potion Professor had given her had made her the most relaxed she had been in years. Sparrow stirred the potion 12 times counterclockwise with a clockwise after. Sparrow the waited for the potion to cool and continued to hum while waiting.

Meiko nodded as she quickly said with a grin as she listed the title, 'Calming Solution', on her notebook. "Oh, I see... thanks, Cloud~"
When the professor announced the steps and ingredients, Meiko quickly jotted them down in her notebook. Meiko grinned at Cloud as she began to gather the things needed for the potion in front of her. "Time to do the solution then~"
