Always lived my life, up to it's fullest. I've never had the chance to look back

Just being myself, just being me, not trying to be what I lack.

Caiden Alexander
Fourth year Gryffindor

How do see yourself when you graduate Hogwarts ?
I'll probably head back to the united states to see how my father is doing there at his school. I'm currently living with my mother here, and we moved as of a couple of weeks ago.

Is there a particular branch that you will work into ?
Most likely become a teacher of some sort. My father is one, and he loves it. He taught me almost everything I know.

Which wizard or witch is your greatest inspiration ?
Lord Voldemort. Nah, I'm just teasing you. I really believe that Albus Dumbledore has really taught us all something. While you all were over here fighting the wizarding war, we were over there watching from the sidelines. We used to praise Dumbledore over there. We still do.

Is there a particular event that you love the most ?
Yes, actually. I know how crazy this is, but learning about the creation of Floo Powder really got to me. It's a crazy story. (xD I actualy don't think there is anything about the creation of floo powder anywhere, but I know it was created by Ignatia Wildsmith...)

Which one greatly repulse you ?
Everything about Lord Voldemort. And the death of Albus Dumbledore.

How do you feel about ''History of Magic'' ?
Well, it's history. It's good to know.

(Just a quick reminder for students who haven't sent their assignment yet. I'll give until Wednesday for Caiden & Olli since they've just joined. If anyone need more time, please send a pm with an excuse. As for Amelia and Ginelle, since you two are doing to oral presentation, you may begin in that order as of Tuesday or anytime you're ready before/during.)

Amelia Frances Joan

User Image((I'm so sorry I didn't post yesterday. I had it all set up, but my internet wasn't cooperating. And yeah, Olli, she's wearing it for her project. She made it herself, which is why its a little poorly done.))

Carefully Amelia pulled the cover off. A dozen little figures were floating on the water. Each one was folded, into a flat shape of a player on a broom stick. It looked a little deformed, since paper can only be folded so much, but when she colored it in with her ink, you could tell what they were. Each were on a piece of wood, covered in the Impervius Charm. Reaching into her pocket, she retrieved three pebbles, the middle of which was black and white, but not like a soccer ball. It was mostly black and white on six sides, giving it the appearance that it was wrong, but you could tell what she was going for. They too were bewitched with Impervius.

Returning to her bag, she pulled out a large piece of paper, from her bag. Setting it against the board, it was clear enough for everyone to read. ((Which took multiple tries for her to change from her usual tiny handwriting.))

Rowan: a young wizard, excellent at Charms, in both forms of the word. He’s always a flirt, forgetting sometimes that there are things that need to be done. Currently looking at: Ellyn. (Beater)
Sadon: Rowan’s best friend. He’s a thinker, planning out the games before hand. He keeps Rowan on the right track. (Barrel Guard)
Borin: A beefy wizard, has trouble flying on his broom. But he’s a good thrower, even if his aim is sometimes off. His hits are hard. The son of a blacksmith, you’d expect that. (Beater)
Ellyn: currently hating Rowan. She’s far too adventurous for her time, and used to getting into trouble. She’s a loner; without any best friends, but she’s goodhearted enough for people to want to play with her. (Catcher)
Alys: a creative witch, she’s the strongest flyer out there; her broom is enchanted the best. (Catcher)
Ulric: responsible. He’s faithful, believing in the woods, he cares for. (Catcher)

TEAM 2
Tybalt: a young lord who sneaks out to play with the rest of them. He’s proper, and always trying to keep his clothes as clean as possible. (Catcher)
Terrowin: a bully. He’s only on the team because he wants to be. His throws are hard and sometimes he hits his own team if they screw up. (Beater)
Brom: Big guy. Cares the king’s battle horses. Makes it difficult to let anything through his guard. When he’s guarding one, nothing can get past him. Catchers must feint and hit the barrel he’s not guarding. (Barrel Guard)
Fendrel: Skinny kid, a great weaver. Both in fabric and in Queer Marsh. His broom is made for speed but frequently throws him off when he’s holding the ball. (Catcher)
Althalos: Terrowin’s best friend. Another bully. He just likes throwing rocks. Aim’s terrible. (Beater)
Millicent: Terrowin’s girlfriend. She can talk him into anything. (Catcher)

Amelia cleared her throat. With a sideways glance towards the professor, she began. Her voice filled the room the way speakers would,
“Let’s begin with meeting the players. Today we’re going to have two teams, the Horses and the Dogs! Welcome the players!” Suddenly she broke out into cheers, surprisingly realistic. As she cheered, she lifted six players out of the water with her wand, breaking only for a second to murmur the spell. She guided the six of them to the board, then brought the first one forward. Once more she muttered a spell, “Engorgio;” in her excitement, the spell didn’t work as she wasn’t concentrating enough. Surprise flicked within her eyes—it had worked during her practices, once she’d figured it out. Still, she went on, pretending that it had worked. She knew she didn’t have time to fiddle with it. “This is Rowan.” A smile grew on her face, as she set him on the desk in front of someone, offering to let them pass him around. He was a cute young boy, though still fairly average looking with his brown hair and eyes. “He’s known for his ‘charms.’” She played with the word.

Suddenly her voice changed, into a young boy’s voice, fairly similar to Nathaniel’s.
“I’m here for Ellyn’s sake. She’s heartbroken when I don’t play.” Before she spoke, Amelia, whispering, “Windgardium Leviosa” once more raised another player, Ellyn, and guided it to Rowan, while ‘he’ spoke. Upon reaching him, Amelia interrupted herself with a loud slap, cupping her free hand against her thigh to increase the volume. At the same time she swung Ellyn towards Rowan, acting as if she were slapping him. Once more in a girl’s voice, she emphasized, “If I had any say in it, he would be here.” Returning to her commentator’s tone, she laughed, “Well, well, a little in team romance can always excite the audience. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Ellyn! One of the Catchers for the team.”

And so it went, Amelia introducing each of the team, bantering amongst herself. Quickly it was easy to distinguish which voice belonged to who, and each of their personalities. Placing the teams back into the water, she cleared her throat once more. It was time for the game to begin. She dropped the two Blooders onto the water, each in the center. Looking up, she offered anyone to come closer to see, as she knew there were so few in the class, everyone could surround the table and see well. Then counting down from seven, her magical number, she dropped the ‘soccer ball’ into the water. Moving the players one at a time, she described each move, having them interact with each other. Each time a goal was scored she cheered loudly, hoping the rest of the class would join in. Whether they did or not, she had to continue, describing everything. Twice, when the goal missed, Terrowin hit Tybalt with his own rock. And halfway through the game, Fendrel was thrown from his broom and disqualified. Rowan continued to miss the ball, snuggling up to Ellyn as much as possible, but he took any rocks that came near her. Finally, the magic number was reached. The Horses won the game. Amelia let off one of those firecrackers that she loved so much and made general cheering sounds afterward. Then, lining them up against the blackboard once more, she returned to the class, her commentator voice ready,
“Any questions for our hard workers today? You know they’re always ready to show off.” Amelia’s cheeks were flushed. She had no real idea how she’d done, having gotten caught up in describing the game. It wasn’t exactly like a Quidditch match. She couldn’t picture a 3D playing field, having never seen a game. So though they all floated, never holding still above the water just as true players wouldn’t, it still was all at one level. Though with their poor brooms, they probably couldn’t reach the heights of today.

((If you want me to describe the game in more detail, I can easily. I just thought the post was getting crazy long, so I shortened it.))

(It's okay ! I love the idea.)
At the end of the presentation, Desiree applauded Amelia for all her hard work. It was impressive, highly detailed. It was great to use a water tank to imitate the air since moving so many little figurines at a time could be confusing. Since the students looked like they were still checking and observing, she thought she could open the way. "Well, let me ask you something then." She paused for a moment, thinking. "Frendel, how do you feel after being disqualified ? Think your could've won if you stayed ?" Amelia's concept was amazing, being the commenter allowed her free reign.

User ImageAmelia brought Fendrel forward, she made her hand shake, as if the guy was scared. The first sound she made was deep and rough, obviously from Terrowin as it only really could be described as a growl. Then she switched to the small young voice, "W-w-well, you see. Of course, I wanted to stay in the game--it's why I play," She had him turn around, as if looking over his shoulder at Terrowin. He started to shake more while he continued, "But no. I don't think my participation would have changed the game. No, the Horses were just too strong of a team." It was a total lie. It was quite a close game, 5-7, many of which were scored by Fendrel by his ultimate speed advantage of Sadon. Still Amelia had Terrowin's figure come forward, and she squeaked out, "I need to go!" And Fendrel was back to the board, having veered a great distance away from Terrowin.

Just being myself, just being me, not trying to be what I lack.

Caiden Alexander
Fourth year Gryffindor

The Match of a Lifetime. Or, the match of two weeks.

Caiden D. Alexander

Kenuf had made me feel like an idiot the whole two weeks. The twit was cheating! He had been using some sort of liquid on his broom, and I caught him in the action of doing it! That was why his broom always looked so great, and flew so fast. The rest of us had old brooms that our wives still swept the floors of the taverns out with. That was why their team was winning. Well, not anymore.

“Looung! Pass the ball, doof!” I was zooming past him, and he was coming up on the other teams catchers. I was so close to the goal it wasn’t even funny anymore. He finally passed the ball, I readjusted myself, and shot towards the goal. Steady… Steady…! It goes in! I cheer with my buddies, as we fly back into positions. Moroll, from the other teams goal, had to fetch the ball, because there was a hole in the back of his barrel. Sometimes the quaffle stayed in, sometimes is zoomed out. It took him another minute, but we got it back into play. Kenuf got the ball, and zoomed down to the end of the field, while I was doing my best to get down there. Our goalie wasn’t bad for a goalie, he just was a little too drunk to see sometimes. Like tonight… the ball came flying at his face, hitting him straight between the eyes. At that moment, a blooder came my way, and I ducked. It his Kenuf in the back, and I laughed under my breath. He deserved that one. I recollected the quaffle, turned around, and started to fly off to the other side of the field. Kenuf was coming up on me fast, so I passed it to Looung, who then passed it to our other catcher, Argenne. He was a bulky guy, so he scared away most of the other team. He came to Moroll, who was desperately trying to defend the goals. It was 296 to 297, and it would be four more goals for us to win. Argenne shot the ball, and of course, it went too fast for Moroll to see, so it went it. It was a tied match now. It was a wonder that the barrel didn’t fall over again.

“Hey, Codunn, we have a shot finally!” Looung, my younger brother, was laughing at my side. There were other people on the ground, watching and pointing at all of us. They were avoiding the Blooders and the Quaffle all the same, but they were enjoying themselves down there. That made me laugh. As Moroll put the ball back into play, Instantly, Argenne got the ball and brought it back. One of our Beaters hit a Blooder straight at Kenuf, who wavered and swayed to miss it. It hit Moroll instead. Poor fellow, he was. Argenne got the ball and took it to the goal, avoiding the other chasers as well as he could. Looung came up next to him, and snuck it out without the other chasers knowing. He took it to the goal, and god all mighty, he scored again. He got atleast 200 of our 298 goals, which was an impressive feat for a little scrawny man like him. Kenuf seemed angry at us. Moroll came back up, rubbing his temples, and muttered something under his breath, which none of us cared to let him repeat.

After another hour of playing, we had gotten nowhere. It was still 298 to 297, and Kenuf was determined not to let our team score. The other beaters kept hitting the Blooders at us every chance they had, so we had to keep our eyes wide opened for the rest of the game. Finally, when one of the beaters had to take a break, we got our chance to score again. Moroll was panting, and yawning at the same time, which I wouldn’t have minded if he did again. Argenne had been distracting Kenuf and another catcher by making is seem like there was a quaffle in his arm, and Looung and I took on the last catcher and scored another goal. It stayed in this time, because we were close enough to the goal for us to lightly toss it in. Kenuf was angrier than I had ever seen him.

The last goal was a strange feat for all of us. Moroll, obviously depressed that the game was almost over, wanted to apparently get the last move in. So he caught the quaffle and shoved it into his own goal. Apparently he thought we were going to win anyway, so he got the last goal.

We all shook hands, and Kenuf pulled me aside. “I don’t care how much you guys won by, I will not give you my wife!”

“Kenuf, I don’t want your wife! I said that I wanted your wives daughter. My son, Kerung, really likes her.” I said, pulling my arm away from him. He looked astounded. But then he looked ashamed.

“I’m sorry, Codunn. I will bring her over for your son, Kerung, to meet, tomorrow morning. Besides, I’ve been meaning to stop by your old tavern to see how it was holding up.” I laughed at Kenuf, glad we were on better terms again. That was the best Queerditch Marsh we have had in a long time.

Caiden handed his story to the professor, hoping she would have approved of it.

"Excellent story Caiden ! I'll give you full marks. You can now return to your seat and participate to Amelia's presentation." she replied. The assignment was going well and she was proud of their imagination. All of them got a clear view of what Queerditch Marsh was. She couldn't be more happy to read.

User ImageBack in her commentary voice, Amelia frowned asking as she returned Terrowin to his place. "But Fendrel, don't you want to want to talk about your broom?" She had the boy in question dart forward as she grinned, the smile apparent in her voice, "If you insist," she chuckled with new found confidence, "You see, most brooms you see are made with oak. Now, this one here, is made out of poplar. Don't just think oh, but it dropped me. This one's built for speed. If I mix it with oak bristles, I'm sure that it'll have enough balance." She started backing him up again, as she made his voice start to fade, "What I need now are volunteers. Who wants to go down in history as broom makers!" There was general laughter, but none the less, Amelia provided sounds of possible participants.

User Image((Oops, no, not really I'm sorry for being confusing. >.< I was just making a comment that the brooms were still in the "learning" stage.))

In her commentator's voice, she waved away the offer. It was something she hadn't been expecting.
"Sorry honey, can't let anyone get hurt here. You'll have to risk your bones tomorrow." She glanced about the room, wondering what the others were thinking. "Don't let the winning team go home without any love people! Do you got any questions for them? Or more for the Dogs?" Amelia surveyed the people, unsure what she was going to do if no one had any.
