"Because he wanted to annoy me. Whatever you saw in him, remember it was just a lie. A Jedi, he will never be. He was incapable of becoming one. Kenobi was a Jedi. Wulf was not," Labrynth snorted. "Plus, he knew that you were too arrogant to listen to him, or anyone's advice. Being sith, you at least act like one. And the fact that your little forces would be loyal to you, and that I'm the one with the connection with the elite squads at my disposal only allowed for him to have a private army of his own."

Drako walked to the bridge and sat in his chair. Reaching out into Stanas mind he forced his way in and searched for the truth.

" Start order Bilbringi. We are going to make this force stronger. "

Narrowing her eyes as she cautiously enters into the medical bay, she dares one of the men there to laugh or make a snide remark about the fact that she had lost her hand. She knew there were more then a few people on this ship who seemed to look down on her, or hate her, she had no illusions about that. Sitting down on a nearby chair, she waits for medical attention, glaring at those around her. "Say one word and I'll make sure that you get sent home in pieces...." stare

" Names DC. And i have seen things alot more.... Worse. Lets see... " DC took her arm and injected three different cemicals into her. He was not nice about it.

" Now.... What size hand you want?" He waved over a droid holding a large carry case of robotic hands and such.

Aboard the bridge of the Astral Cleric her captain watched as she pulled up closer to the Pirate Corvette. The Transport they had rescued had minor ion damage but nothing a few hours of cleaning couldn't cure, suprising given the pounding she seemed to have been taking. There were no injuries aboard but she wouldn't beable to move until the Ion damage was repaired, so for now she was docked with the Astral Cleric.
Now the Cleric's captain planned on boarding and seizing the pirate ship. Current ship records I.D.'ed the ship as the Fortune's Smile, a known raider under the command of a charasmatic and cunning Pirate known as Cale Darksun. In the past few months the brigand had built himself a fleet and played havoc on the spacelanes, thumbing his nose at any and all authority. Recent reports have it that his pirate fleet had broken up. Former members of the band were proving a minor nuscance though Darksun himself had been rather quiet lately.
The Captain, a Bothan named Norr Thri'mos chuckled as the Fortune's Smile drew larger in the viewscreen. "A rather Inglorious end, wouldn't you say?" he commented to his passenger, a Knight of the Jedi order.
The Jedi, a young man named Noa Saar looked at the Bothan curiously. "Care to elaborate?"
The bothan pointed towards the ship. "Cale Darksun's Career has gone down the fresher as of late. His fleet has abandoned him and the law has been closing in. Now he has been captured looting an empty freighter and has been taken down without a fight." The bothan stroked his beard and mused some more. "Though I'll bet when he's rotting in prison he'll make a mint selling the rights to his life story."
"Funny how the galaxy works isn't it?" Noa remarked.
"Yes. That it is." The Bothan nodded to his communications officer. "You Can tell them to surrender now. Theres nowhere for them to go. Alert The NR that we caught Cale Darksun."
The Jedi frowned and looked back to the door behind him. Noticing this, Norr asked him. "Something wrong, sir Jedi?"
"Yes." he said cautiosly. "Theres a faint disturbance in the force...I cant figure out what from though."

" Well, Jedi or not, he helped redeem 2 very powerful Sith that would've otherwise conquered the galaxy. " Angel said. " I may still have the characteristics of a Sith, but I left the Dark Side. Though... I sometimes wonder if true connection to the Force can only come to one who mastered both sides of it. Didn't someone of the Order before say that both sides are only half of one whole? "

"Learn as much as you can about the Dark Side. But you should never learn that same religeon. There is a difference between the two. To learn about something and to learn something is as different as saying you mean what you say and you say what you mean." Labrynth shifted, taking a close eye on the pair.

"As for conquering the galaxy, I doubt that very much. The empire you would raise would fall in less than six years. It was too quickly created, and thereinby, quickly destroyed. Of course, all this will be taught to you later, after we manage to correct your posture. One of my theorums revolves around the three points of life, your hand, your head, and your heart. And in that order you shall learn." Labrynth replied, snorting at the idea of an Empire.

"I have enough generosity to begin a tale which you may enjoy, but only if you quit thinking and begin training."

Captain Norr frowned thoughtfully. "What could it mean?" he asked the jedi.
Noa's response was cut off by the Astral Cleric's Comunications officer, a protocol droid.
"Captain Norr!" it exclamed. "We seem to be having a problem with our communication array."
Norr arched a furry eyebrow. "Like what?"
"We've completely lost power to all communication and sensor systems!"
Norr snorted disdainfully. "Damn lazy engineers. I told them to stop cutting corners on their maintenance routines."
"What the Sith?!" The Gunnery officer suddenly exclamed.
Norr snapped his gaze to the man."What is it?"
"Sir, the shields and weapons systems have shorted out!" The man said in a confused and worried tone.
Norr growled angrily as his fur rippled with agitation. "Get me Engineering. I want to know what the hell is going on!"
The Comn droid dialed up the engineering section and gave the Captain the comn.
Norr snatched up his mike as the call went through. "Engineering? this is the Bridge."
A voice that was not the head engineers' responded cheerily.
"Ol'val! This is the Engineering deck! what can we do for you Cap'n?"
Norr frowned. "Who is this?" he asked.
"Me? I'm glad you asked that." the man said in a voice loaded with cheerful confidence. "Allow me to introduce myself: My name is Captain Cale Darksun, Chieftan of the Dark Sun pirates. A pleasure to make your aquaintence. While it may be a tad rude to not meet face tp face first, rest assured that I'll be up in a jiffy to shake your hand as you surrender control of this lovely ship over to me."
Norr's eyes widdened almost to the size of meal plates. "How did you get on my ship?!"
"I came in through the airlock. Where else coud I have come from?" Cale said matter of factly." I'm a bit irritated that you went and ionized my beloved corvette, Captain. I figure its only fair that, since you deprived me of my ship, I deprive you of yours. Oh, don't worry. I'm not gonna space you and your crew or anything. I'm perfectly willing to use nonlethal means or commit to negotiations if you're willing to capitulate already."
Norr stood and slammed his fist down on his Chair's armrest. "You'll never take this ship from me you bloody pirate!"
There was a sigh on Cale's end of the transmission, and then he replied. "Alright Cap'n. Have it your way. But you better be ready to eat your words when I and my men make our way up to the bridge and subdue you and your crew. And just so you think twice about running back to republic space while we're on board, I had my men shut down your engines and hyperdrive via the mannual switch down here in engineering. I look forward to seeing the expression on your face when you're forced to admit defeat Captain. Ol'val!"
With that the comn shut out. True to the pirate's words the Astral Cleric slowed to a stop and refused to budge.
Norr's fur was rippling with rage at the thought that he had been so easily boarded and defeated by a lowly comerce raider. He clenched the comnlink in his hand, and cursed vehemetly in his home language.
Noa rested a hand on the captain's shoulder to calm him. "Don't worry Captain. I will take care of it. He couldn't have that many men on board."
Feeling a bot calmer, Norr nodded. "Right. Good point. I'll get security to help you." Dialing up the security desk on his comn, he waited for someone to pick it up. When they did, Norr gave his orders. "Security? this is the Bridge. We have a band of pirates slinking around our ship. Take care of them. Set your weapons for stun so we have some prisoners to take to trial."
There was a long pause before someone answered.
"Sorry. But they're somewhat preoccupied at the momment..."

Twitching softly at the rough treatment from the medic, she grunts in pain. Although pain meant little to her, being treated unlike the superior she obviously was bothered her greatly. "I want a hand that will look as much like my other one here. I don't want it to be noticeable that it will be caught off, if at all possible. I shall not let the b*****d who cut it off have the pleasure of seeing some ugly droid hand or one covered by a glove..."

Rak hung up on his end and pressed his breathmask tighter to his snout. Around him, the unprotected troopers that made up the security detail for the patrol ship were out cold, thanks to the chemical makeup of the knockout gas grenade he had used. He wasn't fond of using such tactics, but Rak was a realist. There was no way he could take on every member of the security detail on his own. And while it bothered him to use a breath mask to protect against the Gas when he was fairly certain he could resist it, he prefered not to take the chance.
Then Rak made an interesting discovery. Wookiees were resistant to this particular gas' stunning effects.
The wook security officer stepped out of the fresher and looked around curiously at the sight. there was a strange yellow mist in the air, all his men were out cold, and a muscular Barabel with a breath mask was standing in the middle of it all.
It didn't take the wook long to ball up his fists and roar out a challenge, one that Rak was only too willing to accept.
The Reptile grinned a mouthful of dagger sharp teeth and threw his mask aside.
Rak slipped into his fighting stance and put up his bare dukes. Doing the calculations, the Reptile figured he could down the Wook with a quick one-two. His calculations went out the window however, when the wook assumed a stance of his own.
Rak had fought countless bouts in his years as a shockboxer, both legit and dirty. He knew a martial arts stance when he saw one and when a wook was using one, it only meant one thing: the Wrruushi combat style, Kashyyk's fighting export. The whole style focused around downing your opponent with a single punch, a deadly attack if he connected.
Rak grinned again. He was going to enjoy this.
"Come on Hairball," Rak goaded. "Lets dance."
The Wook obliged. The hairy ape charged forward with a bellow, moving suprisingly fast for such a large being. Before Rak could defend or dodge, the wook had connected with the force of an asteroid. The blow slammed the reptiloid into a wall, leaving an odd dent in said wall.
The wook stood and cricked his knuckles, chuckling at having taken the lizardman down so easily. He wasn't suprised when the burly reptile stood up again however, but he was certainly impressed.
Rak spit out a trio of teeth, something he could afford to lose since they would just grow back in a week, but he wasn't about to bow down that easily.
Rak started moving about and shifting his stance, dancing a boxer's hypnotic dance. The wook took up the defensive, unable to tell where the attack would come from. He was caught of guard as Rak spun and slammed his heavy tail into the Wook's side. the wook staggered and Rak saw an opening. He blazed away with a dizzying array of jabs, hooks, and uppercuts, finishing the combot with a powerful finisher jab that sent the wook sprawling. The wook staggered and coughed. he wiped blood from his mouth and squinted through a black eye as Rak continued to do his boxer's dance.
Growling angrily the wookiee straightened up and charged again this time using his Wrruushi style with his other fist, hopping to catch the reptile off guard. Rak wasn't fooled and he dodged the blow to spin and smack the wook's side with his tail again. The wook caught the blow and pinned the tail to his side. Having enough of Rak's extra limb, he gripped the tail in both hands and ripped it off, hurling the twitching appendage across the room.
Rak's immediate counter attack caught him completely off guard and sent the wook flying in the direction of Rak's missing tail.
Staggering to his feet, the wook was suprised to see Rak unaffected by his loss.
"Its a defense mechanism. It grows back in a month." Rak said with a predatory grin. "Hurts like hell, but not as much as this will." Rak sprang forward with snakelike speed and viciously started smacking the wook around like a punching bag, Raining blows down upon the wookiee like an unholy hailstorm.

Cale's first clue to Rak's location was an odd bubble in the wall of a hallway he was moving down. Curious, he followed the wall until it lead to a door. he opened it and discovered the mass of poisoned guards and quickly slapped on his breathmask. looking into the room he saw Rak standing over a defeated wookiee. Rak was bruised, was missing teeth, and had his tail completely ripped off.
"Have fun?" Cale asked calmly.
Rak nodded, giving a somewhat toothy grin.
"Good. Now grab your gear and lets move. Theres like six hundred crewmen left on this thing." Cale looked down at the wook. "Um...he dead?"
"You want him to be?"
"No um, i'm sure he learned his lesson. Now quit screwing around and lets move. We might need to get the boarding team out here for this."

"Then, I shall see you the next day," Mordranna simply replied.
It seems he's still a bit to learn before he can pass the Trials, and become a knight proper. And, until that, I cannot become a master proper.
Mordranna then took to a stroll along the beach.

The medic looked at the girl.

" Who do you think you are? Master Drako? You get what i have. "

The Arcane charged up and slowly lifted from the ground. Many cables and gas hookups popped off and droids pulled them back. The ground shook as the huge ship pushed itself up. The main guns pulled out and ajusted. PR1M3 lifted off too and followed. As the ship pulled out the main engines activated and pushed the ship up into orbit.

Cale figured his momentum would run out sooner or later. Eventualy the crew would work through the shock of a two man boarding team, rally against him and Rak and try and fight their way back to the engineering deck and then the pirates would have to defend. He just figured he would have gotten further.
"Rak! Hit the deck!" Cale called as he dove around a corner, followed by a cascade of blaster bolts.
Seeing the bolts past him, Rak pulled a stun grenade off his belt, pulled the pin, and rolled it up the deck. It exploded in a blast of blue stun energy and knocked the Republic troopers to their feet.
Cale leaned heavily against a bulk head and reloaded his pistol.
"Y'know buddy, I think its time for phase two. We can't hold these guys off forever. We need to take the offensive again."
"Right." Rak grunted as he checked the charge on his carbine.
"As much as I hate to admit it, we need to call up the P1's." Cale said as he activated his wrist comn.
"Those guys are funny." Rak said with his gap-toothed grin. He flicked a glance around the corner and laid down supression fire, keeping back the advancing troopers.
"Yeah well I find them annoying. Those things better wort as well as Cambot says they will, or I'll be kicking his an Knix's asses for wasting so much time on 'em." The Pirate flipped on his comn and dialed up Cambot.
"Shockbox! Its Cale! Initiate Code Black Pearl!"

Aboard the Auric Runner, still docked alongside the now innert Astral Cleric, concealed compartments opened up with an unerving silence. Skeletal figures rose up from within, ghoulishly gaunt beings garbed in ratty clothing. Silently the skeletons marched off towards the airlock.
One of Cale's Pirate's watched the procession of ghouls pass onto the Cruiser. He turned back to the cockpit and shouted. "Hey guys! get your stuff! The Captain's called up his dead men!"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 03, 2006 2:51 pm

A band of republic crewmen moved down one of the halls of the Astral Cleric, seeking to flank Cale and Rak's position. Their carbines armed, they stalked down the corridor with as much stealth as they could manage. They paused however, as they heard a strange sound coming up the corridor towards them: the sound of ragged, raspy voices singing an off color ditty as loud and as bad as they could. They looked at one another somewhat confused at this.
The singers rounded a corner, and what the Crewmen saw utterly surprized them, if not frightened them.
a gang of skeletons rounded the corner, singing their awful tune. They wore tattered and ripped spacer outfits festooned with colorful ribbons and patches, and vibro cutlasses hung from their belts. In their hands they bore a varied collection of short barreled rifles, boading carbines, and heavy pistols. Their empty eyesockets glowed an unatural red.
One of the pirate skeletons stopped and looked at the shaken crewmen up the corridor from them and nudged its nearest associate.
In a raspy pirate accented voice it spoke. "Avast there Scurvy John! They be meatbags wot block our way!"
"Aye Long Tom!" Scurvy Jim crowed. "That they be! By thunder we'll keelhaul every last one of those fleshy bilgevrelts!" Scurvy Jim drew his cutlass and pointed it at the freaked out New Republic soldiers. "Get 'em boys! We'll teach 'em wot happens when they trifle with Captain Darksun! Harr harr!"
One of the more faint hearted crewmen opened fire and shot Long Tom's head off. It bounced around the deck and rolled to his body's feet. His body reached down and started grasping blindly for the head while the head began cussing like a spacer.
Scurvy Jim looked down at Tom's head with disdain. "Arr! Long Tom this be not the time to be loosin' yer bloody 'ead."
"Seal yer hatch ye bantha-humpin sheeps' wife!" Long Tom scowled as his body placed his head back on his neck. Long Tom drew his blaster and waved it around wildly. "Ye'll pay fer that ye Republic Pansy! I'll chop ye in two and feed ye to the Mynocks!" With a chorus of Arrgh's and curses the skeletal pirates opened fire upon the Crewmen and charged.
Thoroughly frightened, the crewmen made a strategic withdrawl as Cale's dead men continued to pour onto the ship.
