If no one else makes it to the Main Event by Monday, then the first round bracket of the Main Event is complete.

Today is the last date for preliminary battles, so if you want to get into the Main Event you'll need to obtain your three required preliminary victories by midnight tonight. And best of luck to those competing in the Main Event.

So... Could this be a three legged bracket? Have three Groups (Fire, Water, Grass Group XD ) of four each (with 1 bye) and have 2 rounds, winner moves on to a 3 person round robin?
Just a guess.
