((You have a half and half thing with marching?))
Fenrir smiled right back at Mal, a genuine one. "Oh, you don't have to worry about me at all. You don't need to trust me either." He gave a laugh, plopping his hat back on his mess of hair. "I'm not going to tell anyone else about what you intend. Well, to put it more simply, I can't. I'm not allowed to. If I were to interfere in this, in anything, then Fate would have my head! You could say that I'm a middle man of sorts." He shrugged and laughed again.

Elistral returned Jake's look, a little confused. "I'm fine, maybe just still tired though. And I don't feel very different either, should I?"

((Yeah I like marching but its such a pain =/))
"Fate you say? Who might that be? I'm going to guess that by Fate your refering to the being who created me and my six other brothers and sisters?" -Mal gave Fenrir a very intriuged look-

"I don't know. Its just for a second you looked like Strider. Just scared me a little is all." -Jake rubbed his eyes- "Now i'm sure you have a plan if im not mistaken."

((Don't worry, just take a nice bath or something after you march.))
"Yes. Well," Fenrir frowned a little, thinking. "No, actually. Fate . . . governs, guides, our lives and the paths we take. It doesn't create life." He took out his pocket watch, fidegting with the chain. "Then that means, Fate being an intangible "being", there is another form like it, or, Life." He swung the watch in slow circles, smiling again. "More or less."

Elistral looked away uncertian. "It's . . . not really a plan yet, just a beginning to one. Like you said, we should bide our time for now. And to take on Mal and anyone he has in his command, we have to have a stronger force than we have now. We--"
Verin's stomach growled then and he turned away, his face reddening. "I haven't had breakfast." He muttered, embarrased.
Elistral smiled, secretly glad for the interruption. "I haven't had anything to eat either. Eating will be the first step."
PostPosted: Fri Oct 23, 2009 8:58 am

"Hmmmm." -Mal was highly intruiged now. It appeared this man....if you could call him a man knew more about who made him then Mal himself knew- "So tell me is it Fate that allowed Strider to live when he died time and time again? Also are their other intangable being that govern the universe?"

"Agreed so let the eating begin." -Jake clapped his hands together and as if on command a table full of breakfast foods appeared in the room and people began to sit down and gather food to eat- "There now lets go enjoy the food shall we?"

"Fate could have a form, and there may be other beings like it, though that theory of another one is just a guess on my part." Fenrir answered, twirling the watch a little faster. "Fate might and might not be the reason of allowing him not to die. If it is, than that same rule will apply to you, correct? And if that's true also, than when you, Strider, or anyone else particulary "targeted" by Fate, will not die when it seems you should. Like right now as we speak." He swung the watch from side to side, almost completely focused on it now. "But, to me, only half of that could be considered what I think is the truth."

Verin almost wanted to hug Jake right then, but the smell of the food was too strong to him. He sat down and took a bread roll, mumbling with delight when he stuffed it in his mouth.

Elistral sat down too, picking up a glass of cider. Her eyes roamed the room as she sipped some of it. She was about to reach for something when she noticed the empty chair. It had't been empty before though, Strider's body had been in it a moment ago, or what sseemed like it. "Where did it go?" She wondered softly.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 25, 2009 12:53 pm

-Strider was traveling on a forest path and was talking to some invisible person- "Yes I know the situation and I know what I have to do. Even though I don't want to." -Strider dissappears-

-Jake jumped. He felt something that was impossible. He looked where Strider should be but he wasn't. Which only ment one thing. Jake beamed with a big smile-

-Demios looked at Jake- "Whats wrong?"

"Strider's not dead." -Jake sat down-

"What how could that be?" -Demios looked confused and excited at the same time-

"I don't know but I felt him teleport somewhere. But that means so did Mal." -Jake sat down- "That means he's going to act as soon as possible." -Jake looks at Elistral- "So what should we do...Elistral?"

Mal: -Mal felt Strider- "What?" -Mal felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Fear. Fear of what if Strider couldn't die. What if Mal couldn't kill him?- "Tell me Fenrir. Is there a way to interfere with Fate?"

((Is it fun to read all the crud I type?))
Elistral blinked and looked at Jake. What should they do? If Strider was going to act soon, then they should be where the Ravagers were to help. She felt a bit a happiness come up, happy that Strider wasn't dead after all. But she pushed that feeling away, like she had many times before to keep her head clear. "We go to Silver City then."

Verin was forking something that looked like a pancake into his mouth when he heard that. "Can I atleast finish my food?" He mumbled through it.

Fenrir smiled widely, his pointed canines showing. He felt a tug at his consciousness, knowing he'd gone a little too far with explaining. "Now that, I can't tell you." He said, stopping his watch's spinning and flipped it into his hand. He clicked it open and watched the second hand tick by the numerals. "Because if I did, you'd try to stop me. And after all, I'm only an observer." Nudging the whole thing in one direction, he added silently. He winced as he felt another tug, more insistent this time and giving him a warning. If he didn't go soon, then . . . Fenrir snapped the watch closed, the second hand passing the XII. "Well, it's time for me to say goodbye to you. For now, Mal." He gave a cocky wink at Mal, noting his fearful expression. "Fate has a funny way of things." He turned and started to walk away, idly twirling the watch with his right hand.

Crow watched as the Ravagers attacked the village. Oddly enough, they'd been eager to march after having a small bit of sleep. When they caught sight of the first village, and partially the second one in a short distance away, they'd broken into a run, whooping all the way. Not many dotted the plains, all within a fair enough walking distance. It wouldn't be long until they reached the city the signposts pointed towards, Silver City.

Rore woke up with a grunt from his nice dream turned bad. He felt a pain in his arm, and saw the pencil from before sticking in his arm. Taking it in his fingers, he pulled it out gently and pressed a finger to keep the blood from falling on the paper. When he thought it stopped, he rubbed a cool hand on one side of his warm face and slight beard. There wasn't going to reason to go back to sleep, he knew. Standing up, he dug a hand into the pouch on his belt, feeling a good amount of coins in it. Stretching, he went to the open door, looking out across the dark land. He sighed, and went to the woman who'd told him about the Protectors, gently shaking her shoulder to wake her. "I'm leaving now, help the people. Water can be taken from the well and river in the forest across the town, and you can hunt for food." He said, watching her nod groggily. Then he went out of the house and stepped between those that were on the ground. He looked up at the sky and breathed out, thinking yet again about his family. They were most likely safe, but he knew he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about them. He began to walk south, already remembering the nearest town he could get to from Salim.

((its not crud =P))
-Jake smiled- "No time to finish Verin. Everyone prepare yourself teleportation starts now." -Everyone dissappeared-

-Mal's face twisted with anger- "If you shall not tell me then die!" -Mal shot a lightning bolt at Fenrir-

-Strider appeared where Crow was- "Why hello Crow. It seems you didn't listen to my lesson. If thats the way you want to be i'll just have to beat the lesson into you and your men." -Strider drew his staff as it turned into a sword- "Even if I have to kill you."

((Well, by "crud" I mean "amount of stuff"...))

Verin closed his mouth and looked down at the fork in his hand unhappily. "You're no fair." He said, chewing the rest of the food in his mouth.

Elistral placed the glass in her hand down before Jake teleported them. She looked at Verin, who still had his fork and shook her head but smiled.

Fenrir let the bolt strike his back, feeling a quick wave of pain and vanishing as ash exploded around him. He could have dodged it easily, but he wanted to teach Mal a lesson. He reappeared by the tree this time, standing underneath Mal. He took off his hat, waving it in the air around him, trying to get rid of the slight singed smell. "Oh, I do so hate when somebody does that." He twisted to see his back, trying to see if his clothes were burnt and feeling a twinge where the bolt had hit him.
"But, you're the first one to shoot lightning at me." He reached up and patted Mal's leg. "I'll see you later then." He smiled and stepped behind the tree, disappearing in the shadows.

Crow's eyes widened at the sight of Strider, who he saw wasn't dead after all. Did he have the same powers as Mal, as they were brothers? He frowned and stuck his hand out in the air before him. A thin rapier materialized out of the air, blade wobbling above the hand guard. "Then so be it, I will not lose to you." Crow said defiantly, lowering his arm to his side, the bird on his shoulder squawking angrily as it left his shoulder to perch on the ground.

-Everyone reappeared on the outskirts of Silver city- "Here we are."

"Well what a pleasent surprise."

-Jake had an expression of pure terror as he looked up into a nearby tree and there sat Mal and his six other luitenants-

-Mal jumpped from the tree- "I was going find you myself after I was done with this city but it seems you saed me the trouble. So?" -He looked around the group- "Who dies first?"

Strider:
-Strider lunged at Crow slashes downward-

Fate:
"Fenrir what have your observations concluded?" -An unknown entity was speaking to Fenrir at a gleaming room that had no walls or a room just a unlimited expanse of gleaming light-

((Utskirts?))
Fenrir brushed at a sleeve absently, ash floating down from it. "Well, things are going as they should right now. Strider's alive as he has always been and fighting Crow, Mal's still ticked as ever, Jake and the others are where they should be, and Rore's going south." He said casually, placing his hat back on his head and stretching his back. He would never get used to this, no matter how many times, he thought as his back ached dully. "Everything's going the way its supposed to. But, if anything happens to disrupt it, I'll step in." Doing nothing was what he always did, forced to watch everything happening without him. But it was his way of life, and he'd grown a little used to it for--how long? He'd forgotten how long ago it was. "And that's most likely soon." He added.

Verin recognized Mal, remembering him from Salim. Because of him, his own little world had crumbled again. He felt anger rise up, clouding his vision. "You!" He started towards him, but was grabbed from behind. Elistral held Verin back, dropping her folded cloak to bring her arms underneath his. "No! Verin, don't!" Verin struggled, trying to get loose to hit Mal. "Dammit, let me go!" "You don't know what you're doing! You're letting your anger take hold of you.""Like you haven't?!" He retorted, twisting around to glare at her. Elistral bit her lip, forcing herself to stay calm. She didn't reply, and only held onto Verin tighter.

Crow ducked to the side out of the sword's way, whipping his rapier's thin blade at Strider's face. The bird on the ground hopped happily when it saw its master attack the other man.

Fate:
"Good. Soon......very soon we shall have the last peices of the puzzle." -Then seven forms appeared and five were blacked out but two were colored like their natural forms, Mal and Strider-

Mal:
"Ahhh yes I remember you two. Elistral the Bard and Verin the Boy. Yes boy I destroyed your home and killed all whom you love." -Mal laughed a taunting evil laugh at Verin- "And now..." -Mal raised his hand at Verin and Elistral- "You shall die." -Mal fired a black lightning bolt at them but instead of hitting them it hit Verin's watch and came back at Mal. Mal barely dodgeing ducked. The shot hit the tree the other six were sitting in and when the tree hit the ground they all stood up anger flashing in their eye's- "So thats how you want it? Well then that how you'll have it!" -Mal snapped his finger and the six charged at the group- "Kill them all!"

-Jake began fighting Marie with Demios fighting Enta-

-Konjou began fighting Oni with Cher fighting Echo-

-George and Reaper attacked Elistral and Verin useing their swords-

Strider:
-Strider lazily ducked the sword and shot lightning at Crow in mid dodge then jumpped back-

Fenrir scanned the figures with his feral eyes, shaking his head mournfully. "Soon, soon . . ."He repeated Fate's words almost sarcastically. "What is the last piece of the puzzle anway?" He rubbed between his eyebrows with two fingers, knowing the answer'd never come. Fate never told him anything, preferring to let whatever it was come to him. He gave an overdramatic sigh. "Though I suspect I'll find out soon. Waiting is so boring."

Verin twisted out of Elistral's grip as two of the six came after them, falling to the ground out of harm's way. Elistral took her sword out of its sheath, bringing it up to block both George and Reaper's swords. She ducked to the side, lifting Verin up with one hand. Verin gave her a I-told-you-so look and brushed himself off. "Let me--" "Don't even--""You can't take both of them on, can you?!" Elistral bit her lip again, them fug into a pocket, handing Verin her dagger. "Twist out of the way when they swing at you. A dagger directly against a sword won't do anything." She said, giving him a bit of advice. She brought her sword up infront of her, facing the two.

Crow turned to the side, sucking his stomach in so the bolt barely missed him. He felt sweat already start to bead his brow, and the fight was just beginning too. He wiped a sleeve across his forehead, then called something out in a guttural language. Birds that had been roosting flew towards Strider.

Fate:
"I now see I have kept you in the dark to long. So I shall indulge upon the confines of my puzzle." -All the figures became their natural colors. They were Mal and Strider's other brothers and sisters- "It all started at the beggining when they all came into existance after a monumental explosion of energy flooded the empty space that the universe would become. It was much like the plane of existance we now stand in. Now after their creation of the universe they would soon begin to fight with their brother Mal whom chose to destroy instead of create. It wasn't long before he killed his brother Kain." -One of the firgures became blacked out- "Due to him being a god instead of his soul going to what mortals call heaven he came here. From there Strider was banished and thats when I took my chance to call upon him to rally good against evil. After one by one the gods and goddess were forgotten and dissappeared also to here." -Then all but three were left. Mal, Strider, and Desdion- "Originally I had chose Desdion the oldest to undertake Strider's task but I soon found that he had one fatal flaw. He was the only thing keeping the universe from collapseing at the time. Eventually he sacrificed himself and his palace to create the srtong bond that now holds the universe together and his soul came here as well." -Desdion's figure blacked out- "Now once I have Strider and Mal's souls as well I shall have all of them and the puzzle shall be complete because you see the seven gods weren't seven different beings but peices of one being. They were my fragmented soul. I made them to create the universe because when we were whole we didn't but one power, the power of self conciousness. We were the first sentient being and that was all. But by seperateing we could gain unbelievable power and with it create a universe we could call home. Instead of a giant white void."- As Fate was talking the seven figures combined to create one figure-

Strider:
-Strider put down his sword and clapped his hands createing a giant magical sound wave that knocks out all the crows- "What's the matter Crow?" -Strider picks up his sword- "Getting tired already?" -Strider shot several bolts of lightning at Crow one after another-

Mal:
-Mal walked through the fighting to where Jake was and just as Jake pushed Marie Mal came up behind and shot his hand right through his chest-

-Jake Felt intense pain in his chest and when he looked down a fist was shoved through his chest. He kept looking in terror and then his vision went fuzzy and his breathing and heart beat slowed and then he breathed his last breathe and died-

"Hmph. To easy." -Mal threw Jake's dead body off his arm- "Who's next?" -He looked around and spotted Elistral- "Hmph." -He walked over to Elistral and drew his sword- "Oh this shall be fun." -Mal slashed downward-

((Holy shizzle, that's a big paragraph.))
For once, Fenrir had almost nothing to say. Almost. He circled around the figure, scrutinizing it and digesting what Fate had told him. He felt bad for the gods, and the two remaining ones as well. The way he saw it, their lives had been controlled from the moment they were separated. Anything and everything they experienced as well. But then again, every being was the same as them, just not as special. He shook his head sadly, stopping in front of the figure. "You divided yourself, only to become one again. Truly a noble act, to create everything from nothing. To breathe life into the nonexistent. Yet..." He turned away, though it didn't make any difference. "All their lives, their joys, and dreams. And now you're going to take it away when they die? Sure, they're one person to begin with, you. But..." He rubbed a hand across his face, irritation edging his next words. "And you'll be content with that?"

Crow gave an angry hiss as the birds were knocked to the ground, unconscious. His anger didn't last long though, as he had to throw himself down to the ground to avoid the lightning. Even so, the passing of one singed his left arm, leaving behind the smell of plasma and burnt flesh. He stood back up, casting a glance at his arm. The burned skin showed clearly, before black feathers grew through it, covering it entirely. "Not in the least." he lied, and darted towards Strider, jabbing with his rapier.

"No, Jake!" Verin ran past Elistral to Jake's unmoving body. "You can't!" He shook him, only noticing his glazed eyes when the stars above reflected in them.

Elistral danced back a little, bringing her sword up to take less of the blow's initial power away. "This will be anything but fun. she promised Mal, sweeping her runed sword sideways at him.
