Psycho is clear, but Sean B needs a division to claim him.

Ah, I see, in my opinion, I'd probably say remove him since well, his post count is very low since he's began in the guild and very doubtful he'll even report in before the set date, plus, I could of sworn he was going to be removed on the last cleanout. xp

Id like to propose a peice of equipment to be put in either the Armor section (as an armor add-on) or In a miscellaneous category. The item is the Rockwell jetpack. All though at first it sound far fetched, but it is possible. Rockwell was the company that made the bazooka in fallout 1 and 2. Im sure that with the BoS technology, we could modify some of the rockets to fire on command without the launcher, and mount them to a metal frame so they fire straight. Then we could either modify them to last longer, or we can put in a gass tank. The jetpack im proposing wouldnt be meant to allow you to fly around, but rather to drastically improve your jumps, allowing you to fire a quick burst to scale a wall, or charge at an enemy, or even dodge weapons fire. Of course it would be dangerous if the tank were to be shot, so we would have to build a hard shell around the rockets.

After careful consideration and getting a second opinion even, the proposal for the jetpack is declined for the reasons that it seems too unrealistic compared to modern age and the problems rockets propose even in this day and age, along with the dangers.
Perhaps you can attach the rockets to power armor or enviromental armor? That would elimenate the danger, and as i said before, it would be use for short bursts to get over obsticals, not to fly around like a rocketman.

The idea has mainly been rejected by me due to it seeming unrealistic, even after getting a second opinion on it, that person also decided that it would be unrealistic in the realms of the Fallout world or even the modern day world. But attaching it to say power armor or environmental armor, it'd create quite a bit of weight for the rockets to handle, meaning more fuel that would be scarce in the Fallout world, which means it could only be used for a couple of jumps before running out, also it takes away mobility in movement having a large pack strapped to the back of the person. But that's just secondary concerns compared to the main reason of it being judged unrealistic in the Fallout world, that even you have claimed that it might be.

I'f your lookign for a 'jump jets' idea, try this.

As a option for a suit of power armor, a set of Pnumatic 'Hammers' set intot eh rear of the sole.

Have them powered by a gauss drive from the suit's power cell, so no fuel is required.

How they'd work is bascially, when you went to intiate the jump, the pistons woudl slam down in unison with MUCH more kinetic force and leverage, and could fesably increse a Power-Armor jump by a rahter large margin, the hard joints of the armor woudl make Impact shock pretty much Nil as well.

the whole unit also would be ehhh.... about 1.5 feet long by 6" wide at the calf, so It wouldnt take much space, and would be fesable, practical, and make a nasty secondary meelee weapon.

Nothing like a push kick with two 3" diamter titainium pistons ramming into their chest at roughly 300 MPH.

I like the piston one. Sounds realistic, but since it is from Darkholme, of course it has scientific backing. So, I say, in with the pistons.

We wasn't really looking for a jump jet idea and it's been proposed in the past. The piston one holds credit in the fact that it takes no fuel, but we've been trying to stay away from jump packs in the guild since quite a few find it unrealistic, especially to the Fallout Universe. Sure, some of the stuff can be put together, but it doesn't seem practical to having the cause to launch yourself far into the air, even to avoid weapons fire or say a tank shell. That's what running and ducking is for, if your good at evasion, you'd do just as well without a jump pack that would cause extra weight where weapons could be carried, no further required training on the use of one (let's face it, some people has the potential to miscalculate and come down against a wall or in a tree), and it'd save cost on not having to produce such units when only a scant few would even consider using them. So I believe we're trying to stay away from a jump jet technology and even though we consider the ideas, more than likely they'll be rejected as the ideas have been so far. The only thing that put the jump jet to use is the mobile suit unit if your a mobile suit pilot, that gives a sudden burst at the cost of fuel to jump over an obstacle. But keep in mind, myself among with many others was against the whole mobile suit idea and it's features in the first place, but due to half the guild and popular demand wanting it, we had no choice but to give in to the bulk of the guild. So with just giving that large amount of ground on a form of technology we don't really believe in, it's unlikely that we'd wish to even further create unrealistic weapons and armor in the fallout world, especially ones with with only a minor following in wanting such item.

I ... uhh ... can't really believe what i'm about to say.
... uh Sir

I was promoted to Knight Commander in the last promotion cycle

... and well Sir, I request to be demoted back to Senior Knight.

See I personally feel that at the higher ranks promotions should not be a matter of course but a reward given to those who advance the cause of the guild. I can list my achievements twords that end, since my last promotion on the fingers of one foot. There were times when I barely remained active. Simple activity may be enough to earn a Squire a promotion, but I truly feel that, as a matter of policy, promotion to Senior Knight and beyond should only be made as recognition of something. I have done NOTHING that I feel is worthy of promotion since my last promotion. I haven't even continued my human augmentation project since all my previous data was lost and the reaserch center thread is gone, and I haven't had a medic to help me. I can't even claim long service since XxwardogxX was not promoted, and he was the first brother to greet me when I entered the guild.

Anyway Sir unless there is some reason that YOU feel i'm worthy I'd really be more comfortable in my old rank, till I do something to EARN a promotion.

I still say we need more Deathclaw items.

I still say the thought of a Claw hyped up on it's own speical type of Psycho and Buffout is donwright terrifying.

You know you could augment a leather glove to fit around the claw of a death claw and mod it with 3 or so ripper sto tigger once you squeese down on it or adding a power fist to it something along thoes lines =)

Ender- I was thinking for more a seige purposes then evasion, such as jumping on/over walls or to enter a building from the top and suprising the enemy, but I suppose it would take a large amount of fuel to lift power armor. Also, on another topic, I might have asked this before, but why dont we have scribes or a library we can rp in?

Vince- Id be more than happy to work on a project like that with you. Is your rp char a deathclaw? Im more into mechanics than drugs, but maybe we could experement with the FEV (since deathclaws were a product of radiation, not FEV.).
