"Well, you don't have to do that, of course." The dragon shrugged then glanced around the room. What to move next... He wandered over to the end table that had been sitting next to the couch and moved it fairly easily himself. The room was just about ready for that heavy-duty vacuuming job.

Tunda frowns a bit at that, but decides to keep his tail around his waist to keep it from knocking things over. "I'll keep it there. I don't want it to knock anything over." He looks around as well, looking for something easy for himself to move.

Mel stood up and stretched out his back and shoulders a bit. "Sounds good, just don't force it too long. Overusing any muscles you're not used to can really set you back." He looked around the room, tail swinging about behind him. "I think it's ready to go!"

~*BleepBloop!*~ Tunda blinks, then nods, picking up a small cloth and heading over to start dusting the furniture off while Mel vacuumed. Standing up on his tip toes, he barely manages to reach the second to the top cubby of a bookshelf in the corner, his tail swishing behind him now that he wasn't around any breakables. ~*I have my own achievables! 8D*~

Things were going much more quickly with Tunda's help. That is not to say that people were normally unhelpful with housekeeping, but they did have other things to do. The dragon stopped vacuuming, turning off the machine in the process, when he saw Tunda struggling to reach the top shelf. "If you use that table over there," he indicated a small but sturdy four-legged end table, "you should be able to reach that top shelf." They needed to clean the tabletops when they were finished anyway, so it was not as if standing on it would be such an unsanitary thing.

Tunda's eyes flick over to the table in question, then he nods quickly and scurries over to it, attempting to shove the table over to the shelf so that he could finish dusting. The table was ALOT heavier than it looked, though, and he was only able to budge it a tiny bit before he slumped against it, exhausted.

Mel wiped his brow with a forearm and leaned very lightly against the vacuum cleaner. He watched Tunda struggle with the table and grimaced. But he waited until the pokemon had exhausted himself, not because he was a big scaly jerk but because Tunda had to learn his own limits. His injuries weren't just going to go away overnight. Frowning, he stepped over to the table and held out his hand to Tunda, to help him back to his feet. "Looks like we both keep forgetting that you need to take it easy. How about we take a break? We can finish up later."

Tunda accepts Mel's help in standing back up, glancing back at the table once again before nodding slightly. "A-alright. It didn't look very heavy until I actually tried to move it." He says, tail swishing slightly behind him, whether in annoyance at his own weakness or at the table, one couldn't tell.

Mel nodded. "Yeah, some of the furniture here is pretty heavy. A lot of us, myself included, value sturdy wooden furniture. It's hard on little noggins, but that's the trade off. A lump on the head or collapsing, tables. The alternative is much worse," he muttered the last, knowing what both felt like. Of an oak-meets-forehead goose egg, or a cup of freshly-poured coffee all over one's chest and lap, he had fonder memories of the former than the latter.
"Anyway," he said brightly, taking Tunda's distraction as an opportunity to scoop him up into his arms, "it's break time. How about I get you out of this dusty room? I can get us both something to drink. I for one am thirsty!"
(( He's getting better at scooping someone off their feet. This could be dangerous. xD ))

((*chuckle* That he is. XD And definitely dangerous, but adds a bit of surprise for poor Tunda. ^_^ ))
Tunda's eyes widen slightly in surprise as he is scooped up into Mel's arms, his arms automatically locking around the dragon's neck. Face flushing brightly, he nods rapidly, hoping his surprise hadn't been noticed by the other. "A-alright..." He didn't really trust himself to say anything more for the moment, resting his head on Mel's shoulder as the other carried him off.

Mel smirked. His smugness was probably completely alien to anything Tunda was used to however, and he blinked when the pokemon rested his head on the dragon's shoulder. "Hm, oh, juice maybe... that'll probably be good." He nodded and continued on to the kitchen, where he found a chair for Tunda, then helped him down. "What do you want, Tunda?"

Once he was seated in a chair, Tunda releases the grip he'd had on the others neck and blinks for a moment, thinking. "Lemonade? It is kinda warm in here, and lemonade sounds good, if it won't be too much trouble...?" He says, watching Mel again.

Mel straightened as Tunda got situated and chuckled as he turned away. "I was actually thinking of lemonade, myself. We must be on the same wavelength!"
He wandered over to the fridge, looking for a specific pitcher. Since living here, he had learned of the bliss that is homemade lemonade. No more of the powdered stuff. He pulled the clear glass container out; it was nearly empty. "We're not the only ones. This was full this morning." He set it on the counter, then pulled two tall glasses out of the cupboard and carried them back to fill with ice.
The dragon left the pitcher where it sat because he intended to prepare some more before putting it back in the fridge. But first came break time. He carried their full glasses back to the table and set one in front of Tunda before sitting down himself. "Thar ya be," he grinned. "Oh, you don't have to eat the slices of lemon if you don't want. It's just a matter of preference, and just looks pretty," he added, tapping at one piece through the glass as it floated through the vaguely milky-looking liquid.

Tunda smiles gratefully as the lemonade is set down in front of him. Without a second thought, he fishes one of the lemon pieces out and starts nibbling on it, that low, odd purr of his starting up once again.

Mel laughed, "Oh, so you like the lemons too!" Of course, he preferred to fish them out when he was finished, before eating them. So he proceeded to suck down his drink with gusto, tail waving about idly.
