Terrie giggled and poked his shoulder. "Don't think it's going to go unappreciated." She took a seat, smelling the plates before glancing up at the male. "Hm?" She pursed her lips a bit at the 'never mind' but nodded, lowering her eyes quickly. What if he was able to read her eyes?
"Well, shall we then?" She asked, taking a mouthful of eggs. She briefly wondered if she would be getting hungrier as time went on. How much would she have to eat?
"Do you have any plans for today?"

Emris chuckled and picked up his fork. "We shall, we shall." Averting his eyes from Terrie's, Emris focused on the food in front of him and started to devour it. "What?" He paused with his fork in front of his mouth and lowered it back to his plate.
A soft chuckle to hide his nervousness, "Well...I don't think I did besides staying in from the cold..." He started before growing silent leaving the question that died to escape once more locked inside.

Terrie smiled distractedly and nodded again. "Good. I get you to myself today then." A small laugh slipped through and she half-stifled it, not sure if she really wanted to laugh. She was sure she was giving herself away.
"I was thinking we could read together. You know, go through that library of yours." She said softly, picking lightly at the meat. Her stomach was all at once hungry and queasy.

Emris just blinked at Terrie before nodding. "Okay...that works." He swallowed another bite before looking back up at her with a curious expression on his face, "Anything in particular you have in mind to look for in there?"

She shook her head. "No, nothing special. Just... thought it'd be something interesting to do together." Nibbling her lip, Terrie tried to think on how to approach the subject bothering her. She had to tell him about it today.
"Since there isn't much else going on at the time..." Just saying that made her tense. There was more going on right now than she could have thought to imagine. She felt like the news would make her burst if she didn't find a way to tell him soon.

While clearing his plate Emris slowly nodded. His steady gaze bore into Terrie and the foxtaur tried to make sense of what he was feeling. Was there something that she was trying to tell him? Or maybe he was just overreacting?
So he settled for a smile before standing, "Alright then. If you're finished we can head onto the library and I can clean dishes later."

Terrie shook her head, standing and carrying her plates to the sink. "Lets just get them done now. I don't want to make you forget about them." She coughed to cover a snort and turned her head away. Why should he forget about the dishes? He must notice such a silly concern. She wasn't one to worry about the dishes.
"So, they'll be done and we can spend as much time reading as we like." She said quickly, trying to cover.

"What would make me for..." Emris just trailed off and shook his head with a small sigh. "But if you say so." The foxtaur quickly dumped some hot water into the sink and started to wipe them clean with a rag.
"You know Terrie..." Emris started suddenly as he started to stack the dryer plates, "You've been acting kinda strange this morning." There maybe he'd get some sort of answer now, truly the foxtaur was getting confused.

"Have I?" She asked too quickly and too loudly. She blushed and put a finger against her lower lip. "I guess I do... feel a little strange today."
With a deep breath she patted his shoulder awkwardly. "Lets get the dishes done. Then on to the library." She grabbed a rag as well, scrubbing roughly at a dish that didn't need it, focusing far too intently on it.

"Okay, Capt'." Emris shook his head though and pried the dish that Terrie held from her grasp. "I think that one's pretty clean now." He chuckled softly and handed her a new plate.
After that Emris quickly finished cleaning the dishes. Wiping his hands dry on a clean rag the foxtaur looked over to Terrie with a bright, though concerned, smile. "Library now?"

Terrie watched as if in suprise as the plate was taken and blushed again, being more careful with the next dish.
She looked at the hall to the library as if it was a menacing hole ready to eat her. "Okay." She said, cracking her fingers and stepping determindly into the hall, trying to not let her worry get the best of her. She was more afraid than anything else that Emris wouldn't be happy with what she was going to say.
In the library, she picked up the first book she found, clutching it tightly but not opening it. Looking out at the chest high snow piles, Terrie started to relax a little. A bit of sun was peaking through the clouds and making the snow glitter beautifully. She used it to strengthen herself.

After slowly following Terrie into the library, Emris found himself wandering into the midst of the shelves where some of the oldest books rested. His fingers gently brushed each spine as he wiped at the dust which had been allowed to gather there. "Sorry..." He whispered and made a note to really clean and reorganize these shelves sometime soon.
Finding his way back towards Terrie, Emris just silently watched instead of approaching the other foxtaur. She really had been acting strange so far....what was going on? "Have...I done something?" He mused softly to himself as he peered out from around a shelf.

Taking a short breath, she closed her eyes. This shouldn't be something to fear. Worrying about being able to handle it herself was enough. Emris... he was stronger than her. She shouldn't be worrying about him too much. Besides, the news wasn't.... so bad?
Setting her jaw, she turned from the window, eyes quickly finding Emris. "We need to talk. Something is going to happen soon, and we need to be ready for it." Gosh, that sounded so, stiff. Relax girl!

As Terrie talked, Emris nearly dropped the book he was holding. "What?" He asked walking over towards her. Curiosity and worry was mixed in his expression as he looked at the green foxtaur, "Is there some sort of natural disaster or something..."
He trailed off though and his eyes lost the joking twinkle they held as he gazed at Terrie. What was really going on here?

Half laughing and half snorting, Terrie shook her head. "Well, it's part natural. I hope it won't be a disaster though." She set the book down, her free hand now instinctivly reaching up to twirl her hair. "I just, don't panic or anything. Things will be okay." She reached and took both of his hands in hers, giving them a squeeze. "Okay. Emris, I- Oh, geez." Her stomach fluttered like one large butterfly was in there, her voice catching. She looked up into his eyes pleadingly. As if she wanted him to give her the strength to speak.
