"Thank you, Mommy!" Aras smiled brightly at Niyana as she took her plate from her; then she giggled at Rhea. "Yes, like that!" she nodded eagerly. "Sit like this, that's how people sit!"

She giggled again. Rhea was cute ... very cute. She wanted to help him as much as she could to become just like people ... she was glad he was going to be her training partner.

Ruque blushed at everyone's praise. "Mama helped me with everything," he said modestly. "I'm still learning too ... and I didn't even have time to learn a whole lot, since we had to walk home yesterday and then I was sleepy and then we walked back this morning ..."

Celebor grinned. Ruque had learned quite a bit for the little time they had managed to spend teaching him. He was certain that once they settled into a routine with the three children up here and Ruque home alone with them for an entire week at a time, he would learn a lot more, and very quickly indeed.

Rhea sighed. He did not understand why they would not just let him sit normally. And seeing the food and hearing his fully belly he shifted to lay much like a dog though with his feet turned sideways and laying towards his left and his arms bent at the elbow as he lowered his head to them.

What did they want from him again?

Kanis smiled and nibbled on the food. God it was all so good. She was thinking she would enjoy returning home just to see what her dear brother would make for them. She looked up at Corrah to see him just eating the meat and cheese...He didn't seem to want to enjoy the food...she put that into the back of her mind: Corrah does not like fancy....or food made with love.

Niyana smiled, "No you did quite a bit of the work dear...I just did the venison and cheese...as some of the other things anything fresh is from you." she smiled so proud with her children. Even with Ruran it seemed he was already taking training seriously, only eating what he caught.

Armus filled her plate with small portions of everything, then sat back comfortably against the log and held out some of the rabbit to Rhea.

"Hungry?" she grinned at him. Probably not, considering he had already eaten a bit, but maybe he was. She didn't know. Best to start getting to know him sooner rather than later.

Aras started nibbling right away on the salad, copying her father without even realizing it or meaning to. She giggled and wiggled a bit, squealing slightly.

"It's so yummy!" she exclaimed, digging into the rest of her food.

Ruque's cheeks turned a bright shade of red at Niyana's praise. She had helped him a lot, of course he couldn't have done any of the food alone. Not yet. But someday! He promised himself that someday, he would be able to cook just as good as his mama. Because he didn't think anyone could do better.

Corrah finished off the food he had taken, then sat down a bit closer and crossed his legs, reaching for some of the other items: a few pieces of fruit, and some of the salad. He cut up the fruit silently and added it to the top of his salad, and then, using his fingers, he proceeded to eat it all neatly and cleanly. His eyes were still hidden, but his smile was visible as he ate the food, and even more clearly as he reached forward for a bit more.

Rhea turned to look at his mother and the food. Well one should not pass up an oppertunity to eat. And it was a small piece. He nodded and walked over, on all fours to take the small bit of rabbit from his mother's fingers with his teeth.

Niyana could see the small smile from Corrah's hood and smiled, "Well looks like we all like the food." She laughed and continued to eat her slowly enjoy it and everyone's reaction. She would remember to tell Ruque that this was the type of response one wanted in concern with the food they made. I think we have fond one of our children's true calling. she thought to her mate.

Ruran sighed and seeing everyone enjoying the food left his fish and moved over to take a small plate and filled it with the food that brought everyone such pleasure.

Armus laughed and tugged on the meat, trying to take it back from Rhea.

"Now, now," she giggled, "we're going to teach you how to take it like people. Use your hands, okay? Same as I'm holding it out to you."

Aras scrambled to her feet and ran over to Armus and Rhea. "Like this!" she said brightly, reaching out with one hand to grab the food from Armus. Then she passed it back and grinned at Rhea. "You try!"

And Armus held the meat out to Rhea once more.

Celebor smiled warmly and nodded slightly, catching Niyana's eye.

I think you're right, he agreed through thought. Ruque certainly has a knack for food.

He watched as Ruran moved to join them, but didn't comment on it. He knew that if he did, his son would just get surly.

Rhea growled and pulled back on the food as Armus tried to take it from him. He did not want to learn to be what he was not.

When Aras took a hold of the meat he let go not wanting to get her upset again. He just sat back like a pup again and watched them. They both wanted to change him? He sighed and held out his hand for the food.

Niyana smiled and nods looking at the crowd. Well at least this was nice. Though she had brought, Aras, Ruran, and Kanis' things for nothing since they were all going back. Oh well more for her to carry she laughed at the thought.

Kanis ate until she was full. "So I guess we will be staying home for a few days...and then we will come back at the beginning of the week?" She asked looking up at her father.

Aras's eyes lit up brightly when Rhea held out his hand, and she clapped her hands together and as Armus put the food in Rhea's hand, she pounced on Rhea and hugged him around his head.

"You're learning! You're learning!" she exclaimed in a squeal. "That's so good!"

And she put her lips to his ear and gave him a big, exaggerated kiss in such a manner as only children could do.

Celebor smiled at Kanis. "Well, if you want to come back earlier, that would be all right, too," he said softly. "I know you especially were eager to start your training ..."

He glanced over at Niyana. "What do you think?" he asked her softly. "Do you think we really have to wait until next week?"

If Rhea had thought he was confused before he was in for a surprise. The loud shot caused him to drop the rabbit in the dirt and the hug cased him to fall back and sit atop the piece of meat. He felt the lips and hear the loud smack sound and his ear flicked.

When he was finally let go he would sit up and lower his head to pick up the dirty meat in his mouth and start to chew on it.

NIyana smiled, "Well that is really up to the children and Corrah. If he wants to have a few more days to get ready to have his trainees and if they want to spend some more time with us then they should get too."

She smiled and looked at Kanis, "I know your really looking forward to starting but you don't want to over do it right?"

Aras giggled as Rhea's ear flicked her face, and she let go of him and sat down next to him.

"Hey, you're not supposed to pick it up with your teeth!" she protested as he picked it up from the ground again. "You have to use your hands!"

She held out her hands as if to show him. "See? Hands!"

She wondered then if he even understood what she was saying to him. She wiggled her fingers a bit and tried, "Hands? Can you say hands? These are hands ..."

Celebor nodded and looked back at Kanis. "What do you think?" he asked her with a smile. "When would you like to come back?"

Corrah wouldn't let them overwork themselves, he thought silently to Niyana. And even if he did, I have a feeling that Armus might try to harm him.

Rhea brow furrowed as the meat was taken from him again. He was getting tired of this...he didn't even want it any more. He just sat there watching Aras. He thought about nipping her wriggling fingers but restrained himself.

"Haoonss" there would she be happy he said it

Kanis nods, "Well what ever both of you and Corrah think is best I will do." She nods, after all she was just a surprise and well she did want to make everyone happy or proud so she might as well do what they thought was best.

Niyana nods, I know he wont dear...he will push them to their limits but not over.

Aras giggled and clapped her hands together again. "Good Rhea!" she squealed. "That's good!"

Armus smiled faintly and reached over, rapping softly on Aras's head with her knuckles.

"I think you're overdoing it a bit," she said softly. "It's a lot to take in for him. Take it easy a bit."

Aras blinked, then looked up at Armus, then looked back at Rhea. "Am I being too pushy?" she asked him in a hurt tone. She hadn't meant to be ... but maybe she was being too pushy ... was he mad at her?

Corrah looked at Niyana and Kanis, his eyes still hidden in the shadows of his cowl.

"Whatever you decide is best," he said softly. "They are your children. If you wish to return tomorrow, so be it. If you wish to wait, so be it."

Rhea lay down and rested his head on his hands. He was confused....was that not the right word? He lay there looking sleepy. And slightly confused. "Haaooondduss"

Kanis turned to look at Corrah and sighed. He really didn't have much in way of feelings...but that was good right? It was best when you did not feel things when you killed others or had to survive?

Niyana smiled, "Well thank you for the Corrah sir...I think it might be best for them to stay for a few days at least to make sure they have everything and are ready to start." She looked at Celebor and Kanis. "Maybe Ruque can teach you something too flavor your foods."

Aras saw the way Rhea was lying, and she sighed sadly. It looked to her like she had been pushing him too hard ... did she make him tired?

She smiled faintly as he tried to say it again. "Yes, hands," she said, softly now, squatting next to him. "You really do try hard ..."

Corrah nodded expressionlessly. "As you wish," he agreed. "You are their mother ... you know what is best for them."

He glanced at Ruran briefly, wondering how the boy would take the decision.

Ruque's eyes lit up brightly, and he looked at Kanis excitedly. "See? I can teach you!" he exclaimed. "And then when you're up here with everybody else you can make really good food for everyone!"

Rhea rolled onto his back to look up at Aras his hands and legs dangling in the air. He wish he knew what everyone wants of him...he had gathered that this word was the front paws of Aras and the rest of them.

"Haouundoooo"

Niyana raised a brow, okay now Corrah was being odd...was he being sarcastic to her again. She felt her anger start to rise a bit. How dare he talk to her like she was a child. She looked at Celebor. "What do you think?"

Kanis nods, "Yes and I will try to learn well...though I know I can never be as good as you are."

Aras giggled at Rhea and sat down next to him.

"Hands," she smiled, pointing at his hands and correcting his pronunciation. Then she pointed at his feet and giggled and said, "Feet!"

Then she pointed at her own feet and said it again. "Feet ... and hands!" And she wiggled her fingers at him once more.

She knew she was being pushy again, but Rhea sounded as though he wanted to learn!

Celebor smiled. "I think you chose right," he said firmly. "They need to rest properly, and now that they know what they will be doing, more or less, they'll be better prepared for the next time. Besides, they are our children, and we do need to spend some good family time together."

He would have stood behind Niyana whatever she chose, but he did honestly believe that she had made the right decision.

Ruque smiled warmly at Kanis. "I know you'll learn fast," he told her sincerely. "You're smart."

In all honesty, he thought she was the smartest of all four of them. Ruran was just plain mean, and Aras ... well ... Aras was a hothead. As for he himself ... he was a coward, and Kanis was brave. Yes, he admired his blue-haired sister, more than any of his other siblings.
