Ken raised an eyebrow, partically not believing the boy. "Ok, while you could techinacally live without food, you can only go so long doing that before you die. And it's not healthy anyways; ten bucks says they're gonna wear you out at some point, and if you don't eat you'll run out of energy faster. Cmon, Asakura's right. If you're not gonna eat, at least come for conversation."

Rin could understand why Asakura would say she never slept; did robots techinacally sleep, or was it just some shutdown kind of thing? Either way, it's a shame not to be able to dream while you sleep. But Matt's was much more skeptical; humans ate at some point, whether by normal meals or after being sick of starving themselves. Rin never got why women wanted to be so skinny that you could see their bones; it's one thing to have medical disorders that keep you thin, or dieting normally, but another to puke or not eat in unhealthy. SOme of the girls at her school make her want to throw somethiing at their heads; maybe they'd come off.

Upon Matt's joking at her, she flashed him a glare, slightly insulted, before turning back to Asakura. "Well, whatever it was you did last night, at least you were able to recharge peacefully." she murmured, out of earshot of hte other two.

"But it's probably just a first night thing; subconscious homesickness or something. It happens sometimes." she shrugged, leading Asakura mentally off of the Rin-is-insane path.

Kirai waved to the orphanage owners as they drove away, his small lugage case next to him on the dirt road that led to camp. Kirai smiled even though he wished they gave him a choice for this. His blonde haur blew in the wind while he waited on the side of the road as if there was something to wait for. Well hurry up and let's head to the camp site. This is going to be fun. Lin's distinct voice echoed in his head, the excitment clearly bleeding out of every word. "At least one of us is having fun." Kirai shook his head at his best friends enthusiasm.
Lin's voice entered his head again as the frown began to slip. "Don't be so glum, chum. You can finally make other friends, and we can both have some fun. You know, I've always wanted to learn how to swim. We always lived in such a city like area. Kirai smiled at his friends word. "I can swim, there for, you can swim as well, idiot." Kirai grabbed his bag and ran to the camp site, debating with Li about what they could and could not do.

"Ah, nice to meet cha, Kirai! Name's Benny; the staff in charge of the first boy's dorm, where you'll be staying. Figure I'd better come help you with your bags and keep you from getting lost. It's confusing at first, but once you get used to it it's a piece of cake." he said, as he helped the boy with his luggage.

"Follow me; I'll take you to the dorms. You can unpack there either before or after breakfest; it's up to you. We are starting a schedule today, but you'll still have plenty of time." he said.

"So; looking foward to camp? Nervous at all?" he asked him curiously.

Ken's attention turned back to Asakura as she asked a very random question. "Ah, you don't have to call me Rin's brother if you don't want. I'm Ken; sorry if I didn't mention it beforehand.

Sure; I'll be happy to teach you!" he said, looking at her with a cheerful grin again. After all, if his sister (who was as about as open as an angry clam half the time) was openly trusting this girl, he was sort of curious as to why, but she seemed nice enough either way, so no harm could come from it.

Kirai followed the man as they headed towards camp, his guitar case in one of his hand and a small bag in the other. "Kind of. I really don't agree with alot of people from my orphanage, or any of the foster homes i went to, so I don't have any friends of my own age. That is, except Lin, But I don't know his age." Kirai muttered this last part so Benny could not hear. Kirai looked around and started to feel a bit nrevous, his hands begining to sweat under the comination of that and the heat. What if people don't like me? Nonsense. Your a charming person. You'll make tons of friends. maybe even a girl friend. "And maybe I'll grow wings and fly." He chuckled, forgetting Benny was there.

Benny hid a chuckle; ah, so another one with the invisible friend, or mind one?

"Wellllll, you never know. Alot of people here can relate to your situation; you are all sort of in the same boat, but with different things that cause you problems. You'll probably all get along just fine.

As for the wings, well, anything is possible if you believe, right? That's what they always say in those Disney movies. Well, the good ones before the TV shows on there took over. In my opinion, most of them are either freakishly weird, or just stupid." he sighed; Crystal would occasionaly have fun teasing him on Hannah Montana, who he believed should have a guitar smahed into her head.
