*Leviathan's eyes glow slightly as dark storm clouds begin forming overheads, blotting out the sun and making things darker. As if scared of the clouds themselves and the storm they often bring, the air itself became restless, causing a slight breeze to form around Leviathan and the people surrounding him. Leviathan only watches as the people shout their beliefs, concerns and worries. He continues to glance around as the winds waift through the small garden behind the bookstore*

Enough! I am Leviathan. I am a Water Gaurdian created to protect. I never asserted that I am a God and I never asked for your prayers. I have been living amung you and listening to your doubts and concerns. There are some things that I can aid you with, others I cannot. My duty is to that of the planet, first and foremost. Your mayor, Levi Nathan i a very competant individual and can address your concerns involving inner politics amung your people. But poverty, illness and death, I can NOT help you with. I never asked to be your God and I never told you I was your God. The ancient Atlantians merely treated me as such, which turned into worship once I had gone.

The Leviathan then waits as the winds continue to blow overhead for their responce*

He had heard of this place, It was an upandcoming bookshop, muchlike waterstones, this one though was slightly diffrent, it looked as though it had a more, homely appeal, which is what Isamu liked about book stores like this. He gazed upon it like something out of a dream.
//If you've seen R.O.D the tv then you'll know what kind of gaze I mean
His thirst for reading was never quenched and this place although it said it wasn't full enough of books, seemed as though it was joking about it, there seemed to be a whole library encased in this place.
Isamu stroked away soom loose hairs from his face, tying his hair back whilst he was at it. He slid his scholar like glasses up his nose, he had forgotten to take them off again during the night, he only needed them for reading. He made sure he didn't look scruffy even though he had his samurai pants on and his Obi which had his samurai robes tucked into it.
He camly walked towards the door of the store, books in hand, he was giving them the ones he had read, mainly those on history, and fiction novals.
He pushed the door open with his shoulder and looked inside, it looked as if it was someones own personal library, cafe included, he was in love with the place from the first step. He made his way to the main counter and deposited his books upon the desk top.

OR WHAT!?

::Shouted a voice from the back of the crowd. Was this to become a simple shouting match? Was it really meant to trickle down to simply abandoning the people to politics?::

Yeah what?! Are you going to strike us down? Your no god!

--Yeah your a fake!

You lived amongst us but you never listened to us!? You never helped! Your not a god your a monster!

Levi-Nathan is an idiot prettyboy, you are supposed to be our GOD, but you shrug us off on mortals?!

You knew for millenia that we were falsy worshiping--

And you just watched!! MONSTER!!!

::And those were the nice comments. Enki had suceeded in one thing, he had succeeded in unifying there voices. The people now no longer faught amongst themselves but spoke in unison. Not in literally one voice, rather it was a crowded burst of voices but each sharing the same opinion on Enki...they hated him.

If you found out when you were 10 that your parents were not only not your parents, but now they were going to leave you...how would you feel? And when you were confused and angry, if they yelled at you, would you really feel better? Can you not say you'd hate them too?

Wether or not Enki was a god was no longer a question. The days of worshipping the Leviathan would never return. Ever. But one still has to face the fact that this farce went on for thousands on thousands of years. And secrets rarely last an eternity. Mankind needs hope, and what these people just had stripped from them was that very hope. Not only did he strip it from them, but he pointed them at some MAN to take the place of a GOD. No. This simply wasnt going to work that way. Thankfully the crowd hadnt yet decided to pick up weapons and attack the gaurdian, but the clouds and the storms...they meant nothing. Look at the world in which they live, look at Gaia and the super powers that visitit daily. Is it really impressive to think that someone could effect the weather? No. It was there hope in there god that gave his power reverance...now, he was quickly becoming just another Meta. And worst off, an evil meta, as he had let these people live a lie for thousands on thousands of years!

Enki was losing his people, but it was not to late to turn the tides. Perhaps force was not the proper tactic here.::

((You are a sadistic, evil man... What do you want from me?! crying ))

*The clouds slowly start to dissipate, but the very gentle wind continues to blow through the small garden, through the people's hair and around the trees. Leviathan looks at all of their disappointed faces, just waiting for the mob to rise up at any minute*

I was never a God. I will never be a God. All I did was go to an ancient tribe of people and teach them art, literature, music, and the ways of the ocean and all the magic it holds. I then left them and only had one wish afterwords, to be human like all of you. For the last few hundred years, I have been living my life as a regular human being. I am no God and I never was. I apologize for not telling you the truth, but sometimes, hope is more important then truth...

((I apologize if this sucks and makes no sence... I'm VERY tired right now... I'm actually going to sleep after this post...))

::He knew he was being worshipped. He knew he was a god to these people and at times he even flaunted it, but he never wanted to be one...there was an error in logic. Every religion in existance bends and twists from its origins. Christianity went from teaching gods word...to eating wafers and confessing sins in box...the change is drastic. A religion this old....its like a millenia old game of Telephone. The beginning message is no where near the same. Like water wearing at a rock for thousands of years, soon that rock is not nearly the same as before...

The crowd grew silent. Deathly silent...now he was...pleading? What were they to do? How, why, for what reasons would they live? How would they continue to live?! What were they to worship...what does the Leviathan worship?

The people needed something...not just the knowledge that everything they had was a lie. Maybe there blank faces werent getting the message, but the little girl, once silent in her mothers arms, now hugged her Leviathan Stadium Backpack shaped like Enki's current form...and squeezed it like it was dying...her rolling tears soaked her face and the majority of the soft plushie fabric...normally her voice would be drowned out but in the silent, a sheepish set of words seeped from beneath her mothers teary grasp...::

What...do we do...now?
PostPosted: Fri Jan 06, 2006 1:36 am

*Leviathan once again knelt before the girl, looking down at her with the soft glow of his blue orbs. He reaches out with his liquidy arm, almost as if to show her that he is real*

Little one, it is not my decision as to what you all do with your lives and never was. It was not wrong for you to wish to worship me, for in many cultures, I would be considered a God. I, myself, practically worship the great Leviathans. But I am not the one you should be worshipping. There is one higher above myself who IS a God, per say. The great creator and Divine Spirit, Gaia. She is our creator and created myself, as well as my four siblings. She nurses this world and keeps it alive. My siblings and myself were created by her to aid her in protecting the world. If you need something to believe in, something more then myself, then look to her. But she does not give. If you wish to gain, you must work hard and she will help provide.

::Such things...such ideals...they are above a childs mind. But the crowd around her they listened...and they understood. In silence there angry hearts would listen.

What the little girl was concerned about was something all together different. She gave one final squeeze around her Levi-pack before releasing it and running forward. She ignored Leviathans arm and ran for his knee, the tallest thing she could find, and she squeezed it like she never wanted to let go.

Her tiny eyes poured tears down her cheeks like bitsy streams of sadness. Really she had no idea how the Leviathans body worked with her tears, or wether he would even care, perhaps she'd just be struck down...but she didnt care. For this little girl with strength the size of a mustard grain, she moved her peoples hearts. To freedom, to peace, to truth. But she wanted none of that...she just...::

Please...dont leave us...Leviathan...

::She said with a loud sob, whilst squeezing his leg like it meant the world to her.::
PostPosted: Sat Jan 07, 2006 3:28 am

*Leviathan quickly increases the density in his leg so the girl wouldn't just flop through him as she ran to him. He was a bit taken back by the little girl's display of need and emotion. He reaches down and gently cups her face in his large hands, his liquidy form absorbing her tears, salt and all, as he looks down at her*

Little one, I will never leave. Though you may not always recognize the form I take, I will always be near. The furthest away I will ever be is when there is something very important that I need to do or when I'm visiting my home... but just in case...

*The Leviathan pulls his hands from her face and cups them in front of her. Small ripples begin forming within his watery hand before slowly taking the shape of a Leviathan swimming around in his hand. The illusionary creature then swim in circles upwards, exiting his hand and forming into water. The small water Leviathan swims around in intricate patters above his hand before it swirls around itself and freezes in ice, it's head turned toward the little girl. Leviathan then places it into the little girls hand and closes her small fingers around it*

Do what you want with this. Disgaurd it, make it a necklace, whatever you wish. It is made of ice from my body. It will never break and will never melt, but whenever I am within the same area as you, it will glow. It is my gift to you. Keep it well.

She recieved a gift!

Did you see his power!

Make way for her!

::Her teary eyes gazed up at Enki as the ground parted like the red sea. She held the item so close to her that its chill threatened to harm her soft skin. But the subtle glow warmed her heart, and that was all that mattered. She looked him in his...face...region. With all the water it was hard to tell his eyes and she smiled.

Like a joyous contagion one smile led to another and another, and before you could even say Enki Leviathan this rampage was practically a festival. Faith is a wonderful thing, one man once said that it doesnt matter what you have faith in, only that you have it. And it took a little girl to show her people that. The true smile on her face glimmered out as the medallions glow shimmered away. It took all of 3 seconds before the girls shoelace was removed and tied around the trinket in a beauitful tie, and she could only think to say...::

Thank you Leviathan.

::And give him the biggest hug she knew how. Like a little kid hugging there teddy bear. It was really only a few seconds before she was swept up by the crowd and held on the shoulders of her loving father, and mother, and they turned to joyously march into town preparing for only the best festival to grace the town of Latent in centuries. Late into the night there would be drinking and eating, and dancing and classic music, and maybe the great Philanderer MISTER Leviathan would join them. But only time could tell. At least the tale was able to close with a happy ending.

Except...for the garden...they completely forgot it...but thats what Tabs are for! And invoices! Ooooooh the invoiced for the rare plants held here would be a pretty penny.::

*Leviathan glances around at all the people, then waits until they all had left. Once they were all out of sight, he heads to a dark, secluded part of town and drops to his knees as he begins tranforming back. His skin boils and steam begind filling the tiny alley as he screams out in the paina nd siffering that is his transformation. Once back in human form, Enki dusts himself off and whipes the sweat from his brow before heading out into the large festival in the town*

The bell rang politely as she opened the door. Red left her coat, ignoring the hangers. It was a quaint little store, the smell of lattes and cakes filled the air. One of the attendents glanced her way.

"Just browsing," Red said, as she saw the sign to the library section and followed it to the second floor. Scanning the shelves and seeing nothing of value, she selected a few old books on Norse Mythos, sat down, and calmly read.

"We need to find one more immortal," Forsooth thought, "Perhaps another Raven would do the trick, or if we could find a Valkerie of intense power, a living god would do nicely, or one of Odin's hounds. Even a powerful demon would do? But where would we find such. Perhaps the Northernlands. One touch of Tak'Dinal and we'll be ready to release Ymir's incarnation. It would be perfect! Perfect. I know it'll work. Time to move out, sweatheart."

Red's entire body shuddered at the thought.
