Hal's eyes widened and she felt tears starting at the corners of her eyes. No... Carefully, she took a deep breath. Then another. Then she stuffed her hurt feelings away with all her sympathy. They were stupid, and they wouldn't help anyone.
"Yeah... I know," she said seriously. She lowered her head. "I didn't mean to go that far... I'm not sure what I did see, actually. I'm sorry. I won't do that without permission again."
Alice sat down and Hal glanced up, glad of the distraction. "Hey, Alice. This's Rai and Felicia." She nodded to them.
A loud ripping sound made her jump and look around. One of the guards had torn the screen off a laptop, and the kid who'd brought it in was...mourning it? She stared in consternation at the boy. He stiffened with his eyes wide, like he was dead.
Hal decided to see what exactly was going on with this kid. "'Scuse me," she said to the people at the table and walked over to the boy. Hal leaned down and touched him carefully on the shoulder. "You okay?"

"Teh rez has failed me. Teh haxorz haz occured...reboot impossible..." he grumbled as his gray eyes glanced upwards and at the person who'd approached him so abruptly and he slowly sat up like a zombie once more. His expression didn't shift for another moment or two as if he was lagging like a computer himself and he brought a hand atop the table and watched his own digits fidgeting. "They pwn'd my PC...tis not fair...this must be teh haxorz, mizz!" he looked at her suddenly with a distraught yet twisted expression, somewhere bordering a hysterical fusion of upset, angry, and...happy? Yes, a distinct smirk could be made from his contorted expression until he calmed down for a moment and furrowed his brow and covered his face gently.
"System Failure. Teh box is ruined...twas mah bebe....it did noshing to hu't anyone...twas a mere bebe..." he said as he pet the computer gently before gripping and ripping the cover off the laptop and sliding it across the table, tossing it into a trash bin before slamming his fists down on the table. "Zis paradise is very confuzzling...I have been usurped into submission by grand senator...I need a new box, mizz. I needz a new bebe..." he said in a saddened tone, despite the disturbing smirk across his face as his silver/white hair hung over his eyes and his his eyes from view before he jerked his head up and looked at the girl in surprise.
"You! Come to reap the benefits of my pwnage, have you?! You want me bebe's remains for your own twisted ends! I shan't allow you to defile my lappies' memory!" he slid aside and slipped bag of computer parts back into his pocket. "No one can take anything from me anymore...without bebe, I's got nothing more than organs and bones...and even that belongs to someone else." he said as he tilted his head to the side in question of the person. "Who be thee who encrocheth upon my property?" he said as he pulled his knees up onto the seat with him and sat in a near fetal position, leaving his shoes on the ground as he sat in his socks and began to fiddle with his finger nails.

Despite herself, Hal could feel a smile growing on her face. It was impossible not to be affected by the other's strange turns of thought and extreme emotions. She sat down crosslegged on a seat near the boy and gave him a bright smile. "I be Hal McGee, she of the hemp leaves and inappropriate mental peeping," she told him, using the same speech he had. "And thee?"

Taking his finger and looping his silver strands between his fingers until they curled and then released his locks as it sprang free into its usual mess. He looked at the girl as she spoke and looked at her, leaning a bit closer until he was beyond comfort space breaching as he looked at her scrutinizingly from only a foot away from her. Finally pulling away, he turned and leaned his head against the table once more as he parted his lips to speak gently yet in a bit of a whispered tone.
"Alas, I disturb myself in uttering the name those people gave me. If it was a name worth owning, they would've owned the boy that came with it. So I guess...I don't have a name. But before I had this epiphany, I was called Allistor. But call me 'L' now...it's simple and to the point." he said as he slid to a sitting up position and ran his fingers through his hair again before biting his lip and placing his thumb nail between his teeth and gnawing gently. "I am the serpent of lore, the deceiver in boy form, I suppose...I wish nothing more than to be a fox, hidden in his hole from hunting hounds."

Hal glanced around. "I do believe we are in the hole," she said. "And the hunting hounds have passed by, but instead delivered us to the vipers." She looked at L with a crafty smile. "But they misjudge their fangs to be stronger than ours."

Somehow Jack managed to find the doors to the dining hall. He pushed one open gently and peered inside, hoping that a certain someone hadn’t arrived yet.
But then he spotted her.
Jack’s heart sank. Alice was already inside, chatting away with a few people. Maybe he could pretend he didn’t see her…
Jack shoved open the door and walked inside, hoping her looked lively and awake despite how suddenly heavy he felt. Without looking around, he seated himself at a table with a few people at it. Alice might not see him here. If he were lucky, she would be too immersed in her conversation to see that he had slipped in.
There was no way he was ready to face her right now.

Dawn looked over at Brynn Syvra. The smile on her face was hard to miss.
“Do not worry, my friend. Your answers will come in time, but I cannot be the one to give them to you. It is much more rewarding to figure things out on your own.”
Dawn turned her gaze to the door, her smile still wide. There was excitement and anticipation in her eyes. She was waiting for something very exciting to happen.

Kiri lifted her hand again this time a small piece of the shadow went out and picked up the lattuce but then dropped it.
'I can't believe I'm having this much of a problem, and this pain in my head wont go away.'
Rubbing her eyes with her uningured hand Kiri took a couple of deep breaths trying to get rid of the pain.
'I can't believe how much this hurts, you'd think that since they were the ones that ingured me they would give me some pain pills.'
Turning back to the lettuce Kiri ounce again tried to make her shadow lift it high in the air.

"Hey kid stop!" The guard shouted as Wade approached an intersection in the hallway. He had thought it odd that no one was around but him and the guard, and there was no noise what so ever. Wade stopped obediently though, feet at a 45 degree angle, hands at his sides, eyes straight. It was an automatic reflex that had been instilled by his father who had been ex-military. The guard's voice reminded him so much of his father that he didn't even think twice of disobeying. "Alright pussball we're going left, think of this as your tour around here as well." He said cuffing him in the back of the head again. Wade resumed his march down the hall, eyes flickering left and right as he took in the doors and names to each room. He read names such as Sean Wither, Rai, Tylor Goretz, and so on. Maybe they were fellow students like he was or maybe they were teaching staff. The kid wanted to ask but he was afraid of what might happen if he did. The guard looked like he was the kind of guy who didn't like questions or people commenting on his bullfrog neck.
Wade began to hear the faint sounds of voices chattering away like chickens on a farm. If he were a dog, his ears would have perked, and his nose would have sniffed the air. This must be the place that all the others had decided to hang out in, or were told to go by guards like him. He rounded and corner and stopped, facing double doors with the voices loud enough to be understood. "Do not worry, my friend. Your answers will come in time, but I cannot be the one to give them to you" He heard, then ears picked up this as well. "This pain in my head wont go away." He froze not wanting to go in because it sounded like something from a nightmare. But once again, he had no choice.
A metal plated boot met his buttcheeks and the force of it knocked him through the double doors and flat on his face. He handed with a loud OMPH and could hear the guard snicker and walk away, keys banging together. Wade just looked at the tile floor, half of his face red from impacting the floor as he caught his breath. The voices hadn't stopped talking and they sounded alot like people his own age. Students? He sat up on the floor with his knees and looked around the room he was. Wade was surprised to see so many people to his age in the room, all of them talking with one another and he saw some even eating food. Now that he could think about it, he smelled food as well though it didn't smell as good as he liked. So he wouldn't eat and he finally climbed to his feet and walked to an empty table and sat down. Now that he saw the others, he wanted nothing to do with them. They would simply get in the way of his studies and pick on him. Wade didn't want that, he wanted to please the doctor. Make him proud as he was now the father figure in his life.

((Oh sorry I must have forgotten to post his. Its up now though. ^-^ ))
Alice turned to see a boy shouting over his laptop. He sounded starking mad. She turned back to Rai and Felicia.
"So um...how are you two coping?" She said, suddenly unsure of herself. Alice noticed Hal had made her way over to the screaming boy, and smiled to herself.
At least someone is friendly here.. She liked Hal already.
Her eyes wandered briefly until they fell on Jack, sitting on the opposite side of the room.
Why didn't he come sit with me? Maybe he didn't see me...
Sneakily, she used her telekinesis to lift a roll from the table behind Jack, and tossed it, hitting him in the back of the head.
Jack spun around, looking for the culprit. His eyes landing on Alice. She gave a sheepish wave, and motioned for him to come join her.
Suddenly the door burst open and a boy landed face first on the tile.
"Oh dear Lord!" Alice cursed. She jumped up and ran over to the boy.
"Are you ok?" She asked, as he stood.
"Here, come sit down... " Alice lead him to the table where Rai and Felicia where.

Jack gaped at Alice, momentarily forgetting her crazy power. Then his whole body sank in defeat and he hauled himself up from the table.
“Nice to meet you all,” he said to no one in particular, nodding vaguely as he walked away.
Alice smiled a little as he started to walk over. He returned the smile and waved back, but on the inside he was cursing any god who cared to listen, and even a few who didn’t.
“Hey Alice,” Jack said, his grin looking startling real, and in fact there was a part of him that was actually happy to see her. She was still his only friend here, he reminded himself; the only friend anywhere, in fact. All of the other people back at home had surely forgotten about him already. Even the girl that made out with him every time they saw each other -or more then that when they were high- was sure to have found some other guy to dig her dirty little claws into.
Jack shook his head to clear it of his wandering thoughts. The things that happened at home were the past now. It was likely he would never go back.
“Sorry, I didn’t see you,” he said with a shrug, finishing what he had started saying a minute ago.
But Alice didn’t get a chance to answer. Suddenly there was some crazy guy being tossed into the room. Jack wasn’t sure if he was happy about the excuse to disappear or pissed off at being interrupted. He finally sighed and walked over to them, standing over Alice’s shoulder but saying nothing.

Pausing to take another pain break Kiri watched a girl out of the carner ofher eye move something.
'Her power is not to different then mine, prehaps I can get her to join me.'
Standing up Kiri slipped through the shadows towards the girl she had watched not approaching her yet Kiri stood there and watched, lettingt he shadows surround her like a blanket but at the same time actually not moving them but standing deep within them.
'I will watch her and study her, I must make sure that I choose my allies properly.'

Felicia lowered her head as her slender, underfed and toned body tensed further. She pulled her gesturing hand to herself and pressed both arms tight against her sides while her pale hands were clenched into tight fists. As she sat there and stared at the table hard she thought nervously. Why?! Why come to our table? Felicia was grinding her teeth as she sat there like a brick, hating to be around people let alone so many of them. Soon Hal had left to check on the crazy kid and the newcomer who apparently was named Alice invited yet another person to the table. But it was short lived; both went over to a boy that had been roughly shoved through the door. Felicia realized she was holding her breath and let it out in a puff, feeling hands get cold and clammy. She wanted out, this was not the place for her. Yet again.. Her head turned slightly so that her grey eyes could peer through her black bangs towards Alice, Jack, and Wade. I would probably end up like that guy. Felicia's left eye twitched, making the scar under it crinkle from the movement. This was going to be a very long day.

Rai smiled saluted him with two fingers. "I'm Rai, and this is Felicia. Nice to meet you." Before he could learn the guy's name though, both he and the girl named Alice left for another person. Rai's head fell to the table. He was more tired than he thought. He had not even been there for a day, and he knew that there was no way he was going to stay longer than neccesary. He was in a nightmare comic book, and he wanted out. There was no fun, and the people here were either crazy, depressed, or just rude. He missed his crew. Rai moved his head and stared at Felicia. "When do you think the good doctor will grace us with his presence. Not only is this boring, but it seems that each person coming in is more weird than the last." For the first time in his life, Rai was really depressed, and knowing that made him even more sad.

Wade had been looking back down at the floor again when he heard a voice asking if he was alright. His soft green eyes looked back up to the people and widened when he saw the worst imaginable thing. A woman. Instead of him going with her, he back petaled in fright as if she were going to kill him. "NO! YOU JUST WANT ME TO GO OVER THERE SO YOU CAN PLAY WITH" He screamed pointing a finger of his at her. His chest was heaving up and down, breath came in deep breaths. Total panic mode was coming to take over.
By the time he had ran away he was against the wall down on his knees crying. He thought he had gotten away from women, those cruel mean people. Always hitting him, always telling him he was a goodboy so that when he came close they could hit and kick while he was down. Tell him how worthless he really was. No he couldn't let it happen again, he promised to stay away from the tricksters. Still he looked at the woman, tears falling from his face. "GO AWAY I DON'T WANT WEAR YOUR STUPID THONGS AND DRESSES. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Hands came to his head as it was dug into his knees. He didn't to see anything anymore, didn't want to hear anything, no longer wanted to be here. All of this because of an innocent girl who just came to him at the wrong time in his life.
