Hi! My name is Wynn, and I love creating things, and gardening. I have a dream of someday owning a self sufficient farm. That might be a long way away, but there it is. I am going to college for Business Admin, so that I can start a craft business at home (and have an idea of how to run it properly). I have been interested in learning primitive skills for years, partially because I am a member of a medieval reenactment group, but mostly because I love being able to make things myself. I'm looking forward to getting to know more people that I share interests with. smile

Well, I am Kai. There isn't much to say about myself, especially in your standard introductions thread, where people seem to scarcely meet. I joined this guild in the hopes of becoming more eco-friendly. I look forward to finding good information on little things I can do to release my inner "crunch," as I have heard it from some, haha. Anyways, two things that do seem perpetually relevant with the people you are talking to on the internet are that I am 2O years old, and also that I live in Canada. :] Nice to meet such a cool guild.

DuskMoonFlower pirhan Video game writing sounds interesting! Are you speaking of programming or actual storylines? I typically nom Kashi with yogurt and blue berries/bananas. Actual story lines. I do dialogue, missions, plots, etc. It's really fun and the people are awesome. Mmm that's sounds yummy! Except I can't have yogurt since I'm lactose. DXCool! I really hope that you're able to get into the two companies you want. heart Welcome to the guild! <3 Our craft subforum is a bit dusty, but please feel free to post your crafts in there. Nice to see another Canadian here, eh? wink I love working on the little things - adding them up really does make a big difference.

I don't get to meet many, most people on Gaia jump straight to the presumption that we are all anime-watching college kids in New York state or something. hahaha. I'm from Calgary, you?
I hope I can also become a good contributor over time! I have some ideas, but I would have to take some time to map them out and add resources / info.

I actually spent many years in good ole Water Valley. If you have a car, you could probably still see the bus shelter my father built standing at the end of a very, very, long driveway. I lived in a few other places in Alberta, but at the moment, I'm one province to the west of you. 3nodding (and... can't stand anime. xd I tried watching one off Netflix. Typical cookie cutter personalities with flat dead voices.)

I used to love it, but now I am indifferent. I have had an anime overload in my life.
I used to go to BC like, every summer with my family, just camping around and s**t. But I haven't been for a while. This early fall I took a trip to beautiful Banff, though. And I wasn't really sure what bus shelter you were speaking of.

And I wasn't really sure what bus shelter you were speaking of. I had DBZ overload on YTV. I do like Pokemon and anything from Studio Ghibli. I haven't found anything else similar to Ghibli, I just find the standard shows with the dark mysterious gentleman with the dark mysterious past who has a giant chip off his shoulder. (Though, I'm finding a lot of movies like that now. I think I've just watched too much TV.) BC is great for camping. We did a road trip via Crows Nest pass to Vulcan and then back through Banff. Banff is nice, but I live in a resort town, so it's "been there, done that" for me. Canmore, however, LOVE Canmore. Regarding the bus shelter: that was my poor sense of humor/conversation saying that since you live a short distance away from where I lived, you could probably see an old remnant of that.

Aww, DBZ is a personal favorite, I have action figures and posters <3 Such good memories. I also love Pokemon and Studio Ghibli... and I'm a fan of anything a little bit weird but "deep" weird, like FLCL, IDK how to describe it. Anyways, for the most part except for my favorites from the time, I have kind of grown out of it. I only liked the odd one anyways, I was pretty picky. Like elitist about it, haha.

- - ♥ - - Hello there everyone! My name is Vestigium, but feel free to call me "Vesti", haha. I'm 19 years old and currently in transition from West coast to East-ish coast. I was born and raised in Colorado (9K+ altitude, 2 month growing season, you could guess why I didn't feel like hanging around) and then moved to Oregon with my boyfriend. I wish we could have stayed there but it was extremely hard to find good work so when he got offered a job with Trane in Arkansas... we took it. Currently we are living in Wisconsin while he completes a six month training program. Going from Oregon to Wisconsin was a horrible, horrible transition. From shopping at a co-op where EVERYTHING is grown in-state and big brand names are banned from the store for not being organic enough (Horizon, if anyone was wondering)... to simply an over-priced grocery store that actually sells un-labeled hormone treated milk... I felt like crying...
I hope to have a hobby farm someday. Perhaps not 100% self sufficient... We would rather buy what we don't grow from local farmers, perhaps trade what we have abundance of for things that didn't grow so well on our part. Goats and chickens are a must.
I have two cats and a cockatiel, who all get along together just fine (that seems to surprise a lot of people). I crochet, a lot. I haven't had television for 8 years, and I plan to keep it that way. Currently I am thinking about getting an Early Childhood Education degree, perhaps becoming a teacher, owning a daycare, or even being a private nanny again... Who knows c:
Nice to meet you all! Sorry for writing so much, haha sweatdrop

Every thing's good in Canmore! It's just a nice small(er) town with nice restaurants and stores. xD I do own a Mr. Piccolo doll. (And painted a queen size canvas of Piccolo and baby Goku/Gohan?) YTV ruined it because they just replayed the whole Frieza battle that took weeks to end. I really wanted to see DBGT for Pan as I had played her in a rpg. I'll see if FLCL is on Netflix and give it a whirl. If you have any others, please let me know. Welcome! I totally feel you on the West to East coast move. I recently moved from BC to Ontario (and then back again!) It was like moving to a different country. Organics are "weird" and commercial and preferred over hand made. Consumerism runs rampant too. Eek! I really hope Arkansas works out better for you and I hope you get that hobby farm. Or at least a few chickens. I hear you on the goats. I LOVE goats. heart

Some other personal favorites include Sailor Moon, of course. It's a total staple, I know, but I mean I am really passionate about my love for the whole Sailor gang and co. We call ourselves moonies, haha. Another not as well known anime I really enjoyed was Paradise Kiss, about a freshman kind of aged girl who is begrudgingly recruited as a model by these slightly older kids in college who attend a fashion school. They want her to be the model for their final project, and I guess that's most of the show, is her learning about their lives and changing her stiff-a** personality a little. But like Sailor Moon, it is very shoujo, although it is more adult than our childhood favorite. If you're not up for a series (though ParaKiss is only about 12 episodes long) there is a movie I liked called The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

I love goats too! They are way too cute for their own good... I would really want them for milk (possibly learn to make cheese? yogurt?) and my boyfriend wants some as pack goats- for hiking. Chickens are pretty much a necessity in AR, we were really bummed we didn't get them in Oregon.
Out of curiosity, what was the BC to Ontario to BC move for?

Have you seen 12 centimeters per second (movie)? It's quite good c:

Hello everyone! I'm Bossy, I'm 26 years old, and I live in south Florida. I am a college student - nearly finished with my AA! I joined this guild to learn how to be even more self sufficient. I already enjoy gardening, though I also sew and do other crafty things around the house. That is pretty much all there is to know about the Bossy.
Oh, and my cat is pretty awesome.
If you want to know anything else, just ask!
I look forward to meeting new people and hopefully making some friends smile
