Andiamo a dare un'occhiata nel backstage..." Now this is a murder of the italian language and a nonsense because if that's a concert of sure it's live! I don't think Adams and Joel would come here to put a disc on and and move their mouths as they were singing! scream There are too many "prestiti linguistici" from English; the spread of mobile phones and services like "manda un SMS al 494999 e riceverai una suoneria/un'immagine/un wallpaper a settimana!"(crap evil ) are killing Italian,that's extremely sad... I don't completely agree with the too-conservative French but this is too much! English is evil I tell you!!! I apologize, and yet I know how you feel. It makes me sick to see things like that. ("que bien cool" neutral ) Yucky...I got a haircut today, and I got bangs in for the first time in 3 years. I don't like it!!! But...I should straighten it. I can't stand my hair curly. Is your hair curly of straight? (this is obnoxious, but how do you say all of what I said about hair?)

Più che altro sono infastidita e innervosita dal loro comportamento, pensano di essere i padroni del paese, non sono affatto educati (=polite), they forgot how to behave evil ! Per esempio,oggi in negozio stavamo finendo (we were finishing) di pulire, erano le 2 e 10 (il negozio chiude all'una e la domenica pomeriggio non è mai aperto!) and two turists came in asking "E' già chiuso?"; my mom answered politely "Praticamente sì"(meaning "It's ABSOLUTELY already closed"), but they didn't catch it because they replied "E NON praticamente? Noi volevamo dei panini" burning_eyes "E non praticamente dovresti andare affanculo! (=you should go and f*** yourself!)" Should have been a correct answer, above all because of their tone, as if it was noon and it was our fault if the bread was finished and the "slicer" was disinfected!
I'd have understood if they were German or English people because their shops have different opening-closing times, but they were Italian people!
I have to say I prefer foreign turists because they're much more polite than Italians (and I can speak with them in their language, but that's another story razz )
I always respect people but people has to respect me back; that's how society works, n'est-ce pas?!

Mi piace molto. heart heart heart Anyway, I wanna tell you about something in the bookstore, but it was a pleasant experience. I went with my daddy and my little sister because he wanted to look for some books on the Florida Keys. (where we're going on vacation) So I had a lot of money with me and a gift card, and I dragged my sis to the Lanaguage section. Unlike the stores I'd been to before, it had rows and rows and rows of books! 4laugh The had A LOT of Italian stuff. I was looking for a dictionary and a couple books. At that time, I heard a woman behind me looking for Italian books to. Then I hear her say to whoever she's with, "go get her." Then she says to me, "So you're learning Italian, too, huh?" I got up and said, "yes, I'm teaching myself." She says, "that's great! My husband's from Italy and we're trying to help our grandaughter get interested." So the woman leaves and comes back with her husband and grandaughter, and tells him that I'm teaching it to myself. He was really friendly and happy to hear it. mrgreen We talked for quite a while. Turns out he's from Milan, he's been living in New York for 5 years, and he's traveled a lot on business, to places like Paris, London, and Madrid. All this while the grandma was looking with the girl! (The girl was already learning French by the way) During our conversation he made some linguisitc points that I never thought of before. One thing he said, "With English, you can start speaking right away, but with languages like Italian, you have to learn some grammar first." Totally true, and I never realized it! biggrin Lol, I'm attacking you with one of the only awesome moments of my life. whee
