"Celebor!" Kara smiled at the young man across from her, "We were talking about how different things come out of the vases before you're all born depending on race. And what have you been up to?"
It was sometimes hard to imagine Celebor the way he was now. He was so grown up, even though she should be use to it by now.
Once she was finished washing her face, Miyu used the towel to wipe her hands and her face, "But everyone here is much, much bigger than back home."

Celebor smiled easily at his grandmother. "I was just practicing my archery," he replied softly. "Sir Valdemar put some runes on my bow when I was living in the Southland, and I wanted to see if they would still work after having been in Gaia. They're a different kind from the ones that you use, though, they won't work in Gaia at all. Sir Valdemar told me that, though he couldn't explain why."
He had a feeling his grandmother might like to look at them.

Arwen frowned. "Well ... it's not the people ... I'm used to people being big ... if you mean everybody here is big compared to your grandparents. But ... I mean it is a big world ... there's so much in it that I don't know, it's so easy to get lost or get eaten or ..."
She bit her lip. "Or there's the slavers ..."

Donovan chuckled as he took his seat once more at Kara's side. Celebor had just said the one thing that would interest her the most. After all it was one of her specialities and the few things she continued to teach.
"Now you've done it..."

"I wouldn't get lost... well... in the day I would get lost," Miyu murmured softly.
She wasn't sure about everything else though, she could maybe see getting eaten, after all she did remember being bite size for once, but until that one winter, she couldn't imagine slavers.
Kara didn't know whether to whack Donovan or not, but her interest won out instead.
"Runes?" she inquired her eyes bright with interest, "Interesting...."

Celebor chuckled. "Well, I would show you now, but dinner's soon, and I think you would want more time with it. Perhaps I can show you after dinner?"
He folded his hands and smiled. "But yes, I think you would like them. Sir Valdemar said ... well, I don't know why they would only work in this world, but he said that Aragost would know the answer to that ... and that Lin should probably be there when I ask about it."
He shrugged. "I have no idea why."

"I'm learning how to always know where I am and how to find home," Arwen smiled at Miyu, "but sometimes ... it's hard to remember. I have to remember how the sun moves, and how the stars move, and how the moon is always changing, and the seasons, and the animals ... if I go too far from home, I don't think I would be able to find my way home again on my own. Not yet at least."
She winked at Miyu. "Soon, though. I'm learning quickly, Papa says."

"Maybe it has to do with the list of questions Lin made before she left," Kara replied musing on seeing those runes, but that would have to wait, "I'm pretty sure I saw the heading. Questions to Ask on the top... so.... that might be why."
She thought it was cute, but she really hoped Lin wasn't bothering anyone with that list. At least it wasn't a long list.
Miyu giggled, "I'm good with stars... and the moon, but I like the stars better! I don't know anything about the sun...."
Even though she was told it was like a big star, it felt different from other stars, she didn't know why it was to her.

"Ai ya....." Donovan murmured, "A list?"
He hadn't been aware of that, but he wasn't one to check on Lin when she was in her room, it was her room after all.

Celebor chuckled. "Why doesn't that surprise me?" he asked rhetorically. "She's always got questions to ask, it's amazing she remembers them all. Though I suppose now I know how she does it."
Keeping a list. Of all the things ... that was quite possibly the last thing Celebor would have expected of her. But then again, with all the things going on in her insanely busy life, perhaps it was the only way.

Arwen smiled. "Well, it comes up in the east, the way where Adan lives, and it goes down in the west, where Adan says that he has a grandmother and a grandfather. At noon it's high in the sky, but a little to the south, so you can always know where north is because there's moss on the north side of the trees, usually."
A light blush sprinkled across her dusky cheeks. "But that's all I know about it, really."
She started for the door, beckoning for Miyu to follow. "Come on, they might be starting dinner already."
Haradhel was in fact just bringing the food into the dining room at the moment, setting various platters in the middle of the table.
"As soon as everyone is here, then," she smiled, taking a seat, "we can eat."
No sooner had she said that, when Ahren came in from the kitchen and Elrohir came in from the hallway.
"Good evening, Kara, Donovan, Celebor," the prince smiled at their guests. "Welcome ... though I understand my welcome may have come a bit late." He chuckled warmly and took a seat next to Haradhel. "So, another trip, I see."

Kara smiled back at Elrohir, "Well, we came while you were out and you were busy," she replied since that was the normal way things went, "It's good to see you again Elrohir. Ah... where is Lin?"
She realized that the only person who hadn't come back in yet was Lin. She wondered where that girl could have gotten to, there weren't many places unless she went with someone.
"Mi," Miyu nodded as she hopped down from the stool and followed Arwen back out.
She nearly forgot about dinner, which was funny since that was why she was up there to wash in the first place.

"She was with Elros the last time I checked," Donovan replied, "I don't know if she remembered enough to come in."
Lin wasn't as bad as her grandfather Daemon, but at times he wondered if she would just learn until she fell asleep. He wondered if she did do that when his back was turned.
As he was thinking this Lin came rushing in behind Elrohir, she had been reminded about the time. If Elros had not been there she would have not remembered at all that was for certain. She wasn't out of breath but she did look a bit flushed from running all the way.
"I'm back!"

Celebor grinned brightly at his aunt and waved at her as she came in. "Hello, Lin!" he said cheerfully. "We were just talking about you!"

Arwen skipped down the stairs and ran headlong into the dining room. "We're all clean!" she announced as if it were the most important thing in the world. "Hi, Papa!" And she skipped over to the table and sat beside her father.
Elrohir grinned. "Hello, Arwen," he said warmly. Then he smiled at Kara. "Well it's good to have you here again," he nodded. "We all love it when all of you are here."
Haradhel looked around. "So ... as soon as Miyu's down, we can eat," she murmured. She glanced at Arwen. "She's coming, right?"
Arwen grinned and giggled. "Aye, she's right behind me!" she affirmed.
