(Yeah it is good. Besides, we all get slumps at times.)
Lin smirked. "We were expecting you, we know who you work for, but you will not succeed." She made a strange symbol in the air, and used her ice magic to push the flames out the way, the arrows that were being shot were strange, she didn't know what this gun powder was (I hope you still remember this is medieval, gunpowder wouldn't be easy to come upon at all) but it seemed to work like a fire ball and explode. With a quick motion, she pulled her sword out, it wasn't fully in its sheath anyway. "You may have magic, but so do I, and I have some allies that can help." She smirked once more, and soon made a signal whistle. Moondust rushed from the trees surrounding the enemy group, Lin, and Tyr; along with him, was a pack of tigers, wolves, and many animals of different sorts. Birds flew, dropped rocks down around the enemies, and made annoying sounds as if to ruin any concentration. The high pitch sounds were mostly targeted at the enemy, but it also affected Lin, and possibly Tyr. "If you honestly think myself, and my companions are just a group of ordinary people, you have greated underestimated us."
(Hehe I shall soon make an introduction post for the main enemy. ^^)

Serisaria, or Saria as she liked to be called, watched the race from a distance. Liuwei told her everything that was happening, and she stood silently, strategizing. The dragon was fast, she learned, but so was the elf. And, according to Liuwei, the others were watching, and seemed worried. All except for the female elf and the half elf. They had left the group, she learned.
"Heh. This will be interesting," she muttered darkly, stringing her bow. She wouldn't fire yet, but the moment the fight was over, that group would taste her wrath.

((Rok's becoming quite the daydreamer...))
Rok, having slipped away into his thoughts again, came back to the present in time to see Contri's last move. A low rumbling started in his throat as he glanced over at Sorrow.
"Are you all right?" he asked, holding his arm out to catch her if she fell.

((Finally back from Minnesota. Looks like you've all been busy.))
Usrah heard Lin talking to another person in a rather serious tone. It was unlikely that she would be speaking to one of the party members. He then heard the sound of many animals. If there was indeed a threat, Lin could handle it. In the mean time, he watched the pointless race, and kept his senses at their highest. His hand gripped the hilt of his sword and his shield remained alert.
"I have seen this all before... the elf is not truly making an attempt to win this contest."
Usrah's eyes darted towards Sorrow as she leaned against a tree. She was not well. He unsheathed his sword quickly.
"Everyone! This is a trap! Prepare for battle!"
He flew into the air and scanned the area in search of enemies.

Flint raised a disbelieving eyebrow, until he saw a glint in Rok's ax again. In a flash, he was standing on the branch, his knife in his hands. "How can you be so sure?" he asked casually, using the weapon's blade as a mirror to look around the tree line. So the smell of alcohol hadn't come from the convoy after all, it was from the forest.

The fire didn't bother Tyr all too much, after all, fire just happened to be one of her elements. No, this situation seemed to be one she could handle., even if Lin hadn't been here to help, which was still gratful for. Even the animals distrations were a bit of a comfort, all of the sounds almost like home in a strange way. "Lin, I have an idea... but I need you to handle this guy for me." She said, her voice not at it's normal shy, nervous, polite level.
In a flash Tyr was gone, moving at a speed that made her almost invisable again. She darted through the flames, not worried if they caught fire to her, because at the speed she was moving they would be blown out before they could gain enough ground to be fanned by the wind. As a bit of a joke Tyr flipped before the mage, launching herself over him. Let him figure that one out. She thought to herself, heading towards where she saw the arrows being fired from.
A sudden weight on her shoulder warned her of Ferghall's presence, in his few years with Tyr he had learned to anticipate her movements at that speed and to still get onto her shoulders even at top speed. So you came with the other animals? She asked him, though at the same time she was happy she was a bit upset; hadn't she told him to stay behind? Ferghall only closed his eyes and smiled in the way only a fox can smile.

((So much going on...I'll just consentrate on our contest
Ashe noticed that Contri was speeding up. Good, I've got him to shift gears. She too started to increase her speed. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine." She then noticed that he wasn't fully paying attention to her. So, he's confident that he can hear me. She to closed her eyes and relied on her ears to find Contri. She dodged most of his attacks, some coming nearly to close to comfort. During one small moment of rest she moved her earring, and placed a copy, made of wind there. When Contri came for her the last time she reached out and grabbed his as he past her and grabbed the fake. She opened her eyes and smiled. "That was fun." She reached up and showed him his earring. "Here's my prize, where's yours?" She asked, holding up her own.

Lin smirked at what Tyr began doing. She was smart, and heading straight towards the archers. "I'll gladly handle the mage." She held her hands up in front of her, the wind began to grow cold around the whole area, and some areas had frost appear. A white light glowed in her hands, extending to a staff, hitting the ground, and becoming solid. A blue gem appeared at the top of the staff. Frost weaved around the small gem globe. The glow stopped, the staff was beautiful like an elven wrought art. Lin smirked, then sent a blast of ice shards from the staff, towards the mage.

When Ashe stopped and held out his earring he stopped too, lifting his hand up slowly he realized his earring had been taken and he had lost the contest. He held out his right hand and opened it finding nothing there. His face became angry and contorted. He should have paid more attention to Ashe and not Sorrow, but it mattered not. He lost fair and square and so he would tell them what had happened and perhaps a little more than what they were expecting him to admit.
“You want the truth. Alright I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you everything.” He tilted his head back and started to laugh an evil laugh. “I killed them, each and every one of them. You see I’m not exactly just a noble elf traveling along with those stupid merchants. I am Lord Contri Moyasu of Trisfall Manor, but you may call me Shift.”
The words on his tongue rolled out quickly, yet harshly as he continued to speak after making a dramatic pause.
“I killed those men for two reasons plain and simple. To get a valuable substance called gun powder. A powerful explosive substance, which my men just up ahead have imbedded into arrows, and to simply meet all of you.” He turned and looked away from Ashe now looking only at Sorrow.
“I know a lot about you, your names, your classes and your ranks, even your special skills. But there is only one of you I’m really interested in.”
Shift raised his hand at Sorrow and casted a spell. “Don’t act.” Sorrow could feel her powers, even her fist becoming useless. She could no longer attack offensively, heal, or do anything other than move. “I’m a time mage. I control time, it’s what I do. I killed those men by speeding myself up to a point where my movements could not be tracked, and simply enough, that wand you have has no effect on my spell casting or limitations on any of my spells. To put it frankly, I don’t need that piece of s**t, keep it.”
Shift walked up to Sorrow and picked her up over his shoulder. It seemed the others were ready to kill him now. But he was not finished talking. “Usrah, I know a lot about you. About that man you’re searching for. I know his name and where to find him, you might say I work for him. Shiango Vethinger, remember that name. I have what I came here for, I bid you all, good day.”
And with that he and Sorrow seemed to vanish into a thick black smoke, their location became unknown. And their scents vanished.
---
Her head was throbbing; she heard voices, dark and sinister. Similar to those she heard when she had passed out from a loss of blood before. She held her head tightly straining herself to stay conscious. When Shift had approached her the voices became stronger and she could hear sentences from someone whose power and thrust for blood became like nails scratching across a chalkboard only ten times as strong. She saw Shift coming closer now but her powers were as if they were cut off, even if only temporarily, she wasn’t very strong on her own and with the voices and thoughts screaming through her brain she was helpless to fight back as she passed out as he picked her up.
---
The three Elves at the intersection at the paths began to panic. The forth up in the tree, the one who appeared to be a knight scanned the area. He noticed Usrah up in the sky and then signaled to the others to move into the second phase of the trap.
The birds were distracting the archers from firing, turning their attention to killing them first. The waves of birds slowly diminished as they fell from the sky like raindrops. Lavian was shocked at the thief’s speed as well as the magic efficiency of the full elf warrior. He lifted both hands up noticing the wall of flames diminished and the trace of the half elf zooming by him.
“Bolt!” A large ball of white light appeared from his fingertips and zapped out towards Lin, moving quickly towards her. The electric current of the spell shattered the shards of ice coming towards him, setting off sparks in every direction.
The archers Noore and Zixx turned their attention to the incoming thief. They shot out warning arrows, normal ones, at her footsteps hoping to detour her speed. Then they aimed up over the rocks with special bows that enchanted their arrows with lightning qualities. The arrows zooming by her, sending out charges of lightning that even when missed would shock the victim if impact was close enough.
“Keep stalling for time.” Deltia spoke to the others. He knew he would be needed for this battle after all so he tossed his vision device in his pocket and began hopping down, branch by branch, through the trees landing only a few yards away from Lin. He approached her slowly, digging out a strand of rope that lay hidden in the dirt trail. He lifted it lightly and sliced it in half. He then sheathed his sword and grabbed both ends pulling them roughly. Snarling came from both sides of the forests. The sound was horrific and had scared away most of the other animals that had come to help Lin and Tyr. Deltia walked slowly towards Lin and raised his right hand palm first at her.
“Hell Ivy!” The ground bellow her began to turn green and thick constraining vines began to seep around her feet and up her legs. “I am Deltia, a geomancer. And I think you’ll soon realize our captain is long gone. You’re fighting for no reason.”
Deltia then ran backwards hiding himself in with the trees. All the lightning and fire had lit pieces of the forest on fire, and tracking his smell now would be almost impossible with all the ash and debris in the air.
Suddenly two large black beasts, almost exactly the same as the one they had encountered before leapt out of burning forest, hungry for blood. These two were the same as the last one, however these ones were different. They both had two heads and black wings sticking out of their backs. They snarled and growled, teeth dripping with drool, looking quite fierce and hungry for flesh. As the beasts had emerged the three other Elves darted away in all directions, making it impossible to track them all down.
It worked. The boss will be pleased. thought Deltia.

As the arrows had fallen near her, Tyr had kicked herself into a slightly higher gear, going just fast enough that she could fling herself from side to side to avoid the arrows but still maintain her original speed going forward. Ferghall dug his claws in tightly, barely clinging to her shoulders as the birds fell down all around them... and then all of a sudden it was over.
The archers split up and ran in different directions, making it impossiable for Tyr to follow, so she used a near by tree to launch her momentum back towards Lin. I don't like this, Ferghall... That awful feeling hasn't faded. On her shoulder Ferghall nodded, he could smell something strange where Lin was, and he could see strange creatures in the trees. Be careful! He warned her, his fur standing on end.

Lin was shocked at the new interferance and the beasts that had come. They were worse then the beast they had met at the village, and obviously linked. A low growl escaped her lips, she closed her eyes, and strengthened her magic. The air became colder and colder, it would be hard to even breath with this much cold air. "Animals of the forest, follow those enemies, we mustn't let them escape. I care not for their leader!" There were loud replies from the animals, and even the dead animals seemed to reply. Their spirits materialised outside their bodies, they all went after the enemy. Two could play at the game of creatures. "I guess I have no choice but to try this again..." She closed her eyes tightly, concentrating all her energy on making another ice dragon out of the ice shards. This time however, she made it larger, more power was pushed into creating it, even the reserve power she didn't dare use unless she had to.
The staff in her hands glowed once more, the air becoming a freezing winter chill. The forest was becoming an ice forest. All this power unleased may even kill Lin, or put her out cold for days on end. But this was not what she cared for, they had to find out who the enemy was, and to do this, they couldn't just let the enemies followers escape. Lin opened her eyes, they were glowing like her staff, her skin had paled, and her hair had become white along with her clothes. She almost looked as if she was made from ice. "This is so going to knock me out cold for a very long time, but it can't be helped." She muttered a few things under her breath, asking for the strength of others to keep her going, she couldn't do this alone. She sent her plea for assistance into the heads of all her friends.
Please help me, I can't use this power alone, but we can't let the enemy escape. Using this type of thing that I never use unless I have to, could either kill me, or knock me out a while.
(This attack is totally going to make Lin exhausted for a long time. xD She be stupids to use such a thing.)

(Hehe, time to introduce the main enemy!)
Shiango sat silently in his throne made of blood, and stone from those that once served him. He cared not for their lives, nor for how useful they could have been if he had given them a second chance. He had plenty of servants, and followers at his disposal, plenty to replace those that failed him. "Vanic get here now!" His voice echoed throughout his realm. It shook the very ground his followers, and servants stood on. His voice chilled the hearts of all those that served him, and rang out like a sword scraping across stone. His voice, it was cold, full of hatred, superity, power, and order. He was the king of his realm, and when angered was able to make his very world shake with his rage.
The servant Vanic quickly entered his masters chamber, but too slow, his master was angry at him for taking so long. Vanic felt the tendrils of shadows wrap around him, and drag him unwillingly to his master. There he was held in the air. His master stood up and glared at him. His eyes were full of evil, and the will to kill. Vanic watched as his master drew his sword, it seemed so easy for him to wield, even though in the hands of others, they simply fell over with the weight of it. Vanic looked at the blade, then at his master pleading for a second chance. "Please master, have mercy, I was coming, I was just slowed down, please forgive me, and give me a second chance." A twisted smile appeared on his masters face, satisfaction that his servant was afraid of him.
"Mercy you say?" The smile vanished quickly replaced with a glare so cold that it could send your spirit fleeing. "I never show mercy, you will not live another day, I have no use for slow servants that make excuses!" His voice rang out shaking his world once more, and with a quick motion of his sword, he cut Vanic in half. The body of the used up servant was quickly dropped into the ground, loud growling was heard, and hellish beasts ate the body of the servant. Shiango smiled. "That is a gift to you my pets, keep serving me well, and breeding, and you will be given more power." The beasts replied with roars, and their master smiled once more. After he finished smiling, his face went stone cold again.
"Loris, here now, don't be slow like Vanic, or you will suffer the same fate." An ugly short creature quickly bolted to his masters side. His skin was black, his beedy eyes red, and his lips fat, like a couple of fat worms in place of lips. He bowed, the stump of long white hair falling to his shoulder. "What does my master wish me to do." Shiango stood up straighter, and looked down on his servant. "I want you to find Contri Moyasu, I have another quest for him, and I can't seem to find him. Tell him, that if he does not hurry back immediantly on his own, he will be cut, and fed to my pets. He will understand what this means like the rest of my followers. Now hurry up, before I become angrier then I already am." The ugly little man nodded, and bowed once more, he then dissapeared in a cloud of black smoke, and appeared in front of Contri.
"Master wants you back immediantly on your own. He says that if you do not hurry, he will grow more angry then he already is. Master seems to be in an extreamly foul mood today, he just cut, and fed Vanic to his pets, he says that if you aren't there soon, you will suffer the same fate. He has another quest for you, and I suggest you hurry up. Master won't allow failure, or slowness." With that the ugly little man dissapeared again, and reappeared at his masters side. "I have given Contri the message master. He doesn't seem too far away, but he has a girl with him. I am not sure what this girl is however." Shiango raised a brow. "A girl? He better have a good explanation for bringing a girl."

Ferghall's head snapped up at Lin's words to the animals. He had the most insane urge to leave Tyr to chase after the enemies. He gritted his teeth and shook his head rapidly, curling his tail tightly around her neck; there was no way he would ever leave Tyr again, not after she had almost gotten herself killed without realizing it.
Tyr rapidly came to a stop and doubled over, hands on knees, eyes staring at Lin; wide and amazed. She... can summon an ice dragon? She questioned, though she was seeing it with her own two eyes. The thief was panting, going that fast for that long having taken a large chunk out of her endurance, but at Lin's request for help she righted herself and gladly handed over as much of her energy as she had left. If she fell asleep from the lack of energy, so be it, she was too tired to think beyond the moment anyhow.
Tyrdrop! Be more careful! If you hand over too much energy and get yourself killed in the process, then what's the point?! Ferghall yelled at her, jolting her more to reality than she hasd been before. With a light sigh Tyr slowed her giving of energy to a stop, leaving just enough for herself to be able to defend herself if push came to shove. Thanks, Ferghall. I got carried away there for a moment. She sighed gratefully to her foxy friend, reaching up to rub between his ears absentmindely. He was right, what if Lin passed out before the other got here and she was attacked? Then who would have to take care of her?

[Demon both of the two archers are female. And your character is no where near them. I kind of feel like a few of you are just skimming my posts because they are long. Aisu keep in mind the geomance wrapped ivy on your character. Also can you give it a rest with the animals? It was fine the first time, but when they ran suddenly more animals and ghosts of animals are chasing them. C'mon. Sorry just these things are buging me. Btw Aisu you can control the two beasts, I just needed something as a distraction for my evil npcs.]
Shift appeared before a stone monastery, it hadn’t been used for a while, still holding the unconscious fallen angel over his right shoulder. He turned and looked at the ugly beast that appeared by him. He looked at the foul creature and decided his side plans will have to wait.
“Understood.”
Shift disappeared again now standing by the demonic throne. He walked over from behind Shiango and set Sorrow down on the ground. He walked over towards him, giving Loris a dirty look.
“I’m back, the mission was a success. The explosive powder has been relocated as you ordered. I even have discovered something you might like to hear. Usrah was with them. Your informants are pretty good, but I didn’t expect him to be with them. Anyways I brought along someone you might find useful. A fallen. She doesn’t look like much but from what I gathered she can heal wounds easily. And as a fallen, she can’t die. Sounds like a good fixer upper right? I’m sure you’ll just have to erase her memories et cetera et cetera. That group is pretty strong, but with your help it was pretty much smooth sailing. So, what’s the next mission?’

Usrah watched as Contri began his speech. He had been correct all along. He was right to accuse him of the murder of the merchants and the others ignored his warning. But, then he heard that name, Vethinger. He did not recognize the first name, but the surname burned at his ears. The memories came rushing back; the countless battles, the death of Eva, and the disappearance of his "brother". Usrah had held it all back long enough. His strength and speed increased, his body was wreathed in holy light, and his senses were at their peak. It was killing time.
"Why!? WHY DIDN'T YOU LISTEN TO ME!?"
His sharp eyes immediately spotted the elf in the tree. His massive sword exploded errupted with holy power, taking on the appearance of sapphire flames.
"KISS OF THE STARS!!!"
Usrah spun around in the air, becoming a twirling blur of fire. He suddenly released his blade, hurling it straight towards the elf in the tree with deadly accuracy. The sword cut through the air, leaving a trail of divine light in its path as it drew ever closer to the elf. Even if the sword missed its target, the blade would teleport back to its master.
