Sarah could see the explosion coming when normally happy looking David suddenly turned icey. "Okay, okay, now let's settle down now." She said cutting between them. "I'm sure we can all get along here." She looked at Kara. "Why don't I give you a hand with that now." She said and looked at David. "Come on now, ya'll can give us a hand to now." She said trying to head off the explosion.

Liz to decided to head off the coming explosion. "Hey now..." She said to Kara. "I'm feeling better now!" She announced spinning around Becca. "So who are our guests?" She asked. "With cuious looks to Sara and Becca. "I think those new pills I picked up did the trick." She said to Becca. "Man I feel a thousand percent better then I did earlier."

Blade blinked in surprise before smiling softly at the young man that seemed to be having trouble collecting himself.
"Don't worry. It's like Shandra said. You are safe here. Besides, out of everyone to be here right now, you've got two people that are perfect for defending!" The runaway mutant tried to calm him down.

"It's quite alright, Owen," said Professor, via telepathic speech once again, though it was projected into the minds of Shandra and Blade as well. "Logan left near five minutes ago to take care of this matter in person. You're here and safe now, that's all that matters."

Owen blinked and looked up, suddenly realizing that he was not alone in the foyer. His eyes widened as he saw two strangers and he felt the urge to turn and bolt, for all the good it would do him. He only knew where one room was in the entire mansion, and he knew that shiny and pristine as it was, it was no place for a hiding spot.
Suddenly he heard Charles' voice again. He didn't know what a Logan was, but he thought that if the professor was confident that that was all that was needed to prevent the men from following him, then he needn't worry any more about it. What demanded his attention right now was the pair in front of him. Charles hadn't mentioned them, but surely he knew they were there, with his ability to find the right mind to send messages to. That alone was a little bit comforting.
He nodded slowly at Shandra's question, and was about to uncurl himself and stand up straight, when he felt a miniscule tightening of a grip on his shoulder and a slight prickling on his scalp, and he suddenly remembered that he had passengers; ones that might not make the best first impression. He lowered his head and pretended to be getting in one last sniffle, when in reality he was telling the tarantula on his shoulder to shift itself to the side of his shirt below the arm, where he could maneuver his arm and prevent people from seeing it right away.
As he straightened up, his breath still shaky, the golden orb weaver hiding in his hair had no intention of remaining safely hidden, not in an unfamiliar area and with Owen still scared. Raising itself up just slightly, it poked two of its long front legs out of Owen's white mop and waved them menacingly at the pair.

Shandra peered at the insects cautiously. They didn't bother her after all the time she had spent wondering the country but she couldn't say that she liked the larger species of bugs. She had some bad times with bugs, some bad memories especially in the beginning of her travelings, but thankfully she could never get poisoned by them.

Of course that didn't mean that the bites still hadn't hurt but at least she was immune to poisons that were injected. It was just like the demonstration she had given Blade earlier, her body practically spite out foreign toxins.

"You can call me Eclipse..." Shandra said quietly as she continued to keep an eye on the bug on his head, knowing that the thing was upset, "And if that thing is a pet of yours...would you please make it stop threatening us?"

"Name's Blade. Or, my mutant name, Smokescreen." Blade smiled brightly at Owen. "So long as nothing bites me, I'm fine with them. I've . . . had to deal with bugs a lot more than others in the past few years." The fact that she was a runaway wasn't something she was not willing to explain just yet. "But, I should give you warning, I can't control my power all that well." Blade paused before gently rapping her forehead. "Oh! Look at me, rambling." She didn't know why she did that so much lately.

((Gorram!! I can't post for near two months and now the snow war's over and there are X-men in the Brotherhood house... What's the world coming to? xd ))

Laura had heard the snowmobiles pull up, but decided to let Kara deal with it since she was talking with Morgan. Then, when he'd decided to head out as well, she'd gone to the window to see what was going on. From the looks of things there were some X-men outside trying to instigate a snowball fight. How childish. And yet hadn't Wolverine reminded her that she too was a child and shouldn't always think of herself as a weapon.

A small smirk stole across her face as she made up her mind to join in on the fun. She exited out the side door and sneaked around in order to flank everyone. However, as she came around from behind she caught the scent of yet another X-man. Rogue.

Rogue had been the last to leave the mansion. She'd taken up the rear position just in case one of the two who were new to this whole snowmobile thing had troubles. As a result she'd pulled up when the snow battle had already begun.

Instead of charging in recklessly, she'd decided to hide behind the bushes and wait for the most opportune moment to attack. However, as it was, the battle rapidly came to nothing as Morgan came out of the house and started talking to Victoria and the others decided to go inside for hot chocolate. So much for that plan. Just as she was about to stand up and make herself known, she was tackled from behind and sent flying into the piles of snow in the Brotherhood's front lawn.

Laura tip-toed over to where Rogue was hiding, determined to pounce on the X-man and spook her silly. All Laura had to do was make sure not to touch Rogue's bare skin and everything would be just perfect.

The battle seemed to be breaking up far to quickly for Laura's taste, but Rogue wasn't moving just yet. Laura got into just the right position and leaped at her opponent.

"Gothcha!!!" she yelled, tackling Rogue around the waist and sending them both crashing through the bushes and into the snowy front yard. As they hit, Laura let go of her hold and sprang to her feet as her training had taught her, a small smile playing at the corner of her lips.

((Plynx, the snow war never really got started, that I can remember. They all made friends and hugged a bit instead. Lol, it's not too late though. XP))

Victoria had kind of sort of meandered her way in through the front door of her adversary's home. Morgan was following, from what she assumed, so she quickly shut the door behind them before looking over the place she found herself in. "Wow," she muttered, and it was obvious she was quiet surprised to find herself in a small, but impressionable foyer. It branched off to a living room on one side, and a kitchen on the other. From the sounds of it, both room were bustling with pleasant conversation. Victoria's eyebrows quirked upwards in mild surprised.

"It's oddly welcoming in here," Victoria muttered, walking slowly through the foyer, but not talking to anyone in particular. Her arms were folded loosely across her chest as she went, peaking into the kitchen and living room as she passed, scanning for familiar faces. "It throws me off a bit. Guess I'm just used to one of you," her eyes flicked back to Morgan, meaning his associations as far as a team went. "Dive tackling from behind or something equally rude."
