"Hey Mel," Lexenos interjected excitedly, "we're gonna go to this cave that's on the outskirts of town. Do you want to come?"

"Sounds like fun," Mel said. She was trying hard to conceal the joy in her voice from seeing her brother again. "That is, if it's alright with everyone else?" Mel looked around at everyone as she said this.

Ahren gave Mel a cursory glance. "It makes no difference to me, but should you not check with the king before you start inviting your friends to join us?" she asked evenly. She eyed the daggers at the girl's sides, her face a blank mask.

Mel shot an accusatory look at Lexenos. "What's this about a king?" She sighed and shook her head. "You alwalys leave out the important parts, brother."

"Oh... I forgot...," Lexenos said, blushing. "We're going to the cave on a mission for the king. But I doubt he'll mind. The more the merrier, right?" The red disapeared from his face and his usual smile replaced it.

Varnis had gotten bored, and stood up. "Well, I am going to the cave. Meet you there." He said as he walked out side towards the cave. He had admired the scenery. "This may be the last time any one ever sees this." He said to him self as he reached the cave.

Lexenos was startled by Varnis' sudden departure. "H-hey, Varnis! Wait up!" He ran out of the Inn to try to cetch up with Varnis, carelessly leaving his sister behind.

"Lexenos!" Mel shouted as he ran off. "Thanks for leaving me, moron," she muttered under her breath. She ran off to catch up with her brother, and, as she was much faster than him, she caught up with him fairly soon. She smacked him lightly on the back of his head as she said "Don't run off on me like that."

Lexenos was shocked at himself for leaving his sister behind. "I'm sorry," he muttered appologetically. "I won't do it again, promise. Now let's go to the cave together." He face lit up in his usual smile.

Mel listened quietly to her brother's mumbled apology, and nodded when he was finished. "Good. 'Cause if you do ever leave me behind again, I'll have to smack you really hard," she said with a mock serious expression on her face, which soon broke out into a smile. "Race you to the cave."
She broke out running, purposely keeping only a few steps in front of Lexenos. She, of course, got to the cave first, and watched as he arrived panting shortly after her.

"Hey! No fair!" Lexenos panted as he glared at the evil grin on his sister's face. "Oh well. At least we caught up to Varnis." He waved to Varnis as he said this.

Artica eyed the Inn door that almost the whole group had disappeared threw. "What are the odds of having to deal with another psycho on this journey of fools?" she muttered, heading out.

Ahren shrugged, hefting her staff in one hand. She didn't know anything about Mel, and didn't care one way or another. Another person in their collection of oddities didn't matter to her. Wordlessly, Ahren walked out of the inn. She headed towards the cave, swinging her staff idly.
