Izumi slowly walked over, and put her hand on Lan's head. She knelt down to his level, and smiled gently. "You sure are a big boy...Lan, was it? I'm Izumi. It's nice to meet you."
Helix smiled. He didn't mind Lan getting attention. He squeezed Lan's hand again.

Izumi smiled more. "Aren't you the shy one. It's okay. I must be kinda scary, huh?" She smiled. "People always say that."
Helix smiled. "Lan's pretty shy around most people. I think you're the first stranger he's felt comfortable around."

Izumi stood up again, and turned. "You can rest inside...you two must be tired." She opened the door, and let them in. "I have some things to take care of, so I'll be back in a bit. Is that alright?"
Helix blinked. "What kind of things?"
Izumi smiled. "Some friends need some help is all."

Lan walked inside after his brother. and filte biter. and mor calme. Lan was stil blushing abit from win Izumy caled him a bige boy.

Izumi looked at Helix, her face serious. "Why are you two alone? Don't you have somewhere to go, someone to go to?"
Helix frowned. "No ma'am. Our parents abandoned us as children. My brother never even knew them."
There was silence for a moment, and then Izumi spoke. "I see...I hate parents who abandon their children...they give up. Being a parent...means toughing it out, sticking with it. It's not something you can just drop, or quit." She sighed, and shook her head. "Parents like them...don't have the right. They make me sick." She was silent again. "The best part about being a parent...is watching your child grow...learn...develope..." Her eyes were misty. "That's the joy of parenthood."
