Alena looked thoughtful, and traces of a smile flitted across her face.
"Perhaps," she agreed. "Though if I'm just entering into service to a new ruler, I wouldn't want to leave so soon, even temporarily."
She paused, then added, "On the other hand, perhaps I would not want to wait so long for any of our children to see the land that is half of their heritage."

Both were good points and Lin had to agree with both, "Well, wait and see. No one knows what the future holds exactly."
Precisely that is, as Lin had learned being around people with the Sight, there was always hints of it.

"Very true," Alena smiled. "But I find that now that certain things have been taken care of, I'm looking forward to taking whatever the future has to offer. I know that whatever it is, it can only be good."

Lin grinned at that, she couldn't disagree with the statement. Everything was looking good at this point.
"I feel like that too."
Miyuki in the mean time was browsing the shelves but not in the same way as before. She noticed how different woods smelled the same and it was a nice smell. So she was moving along and sniffing the wood like one would sniff flowers.

Elros had glanced around the shop, but truth be told he was more interested in watching Alena than looking at the wares. Sure, he appreciated beauty and skill just as much as the next person, but to him it was nothing new. And between Alena and wood carvings, there was just no comparison.
Yet Miyuki's actions intrigued him. He supposed that having the olfactory ability of a fox, she would be able to smell a lot more than the rest of them, but she was acting as if it was a flower garden.
"Does it smell good?" he asked her curiously, watching her with amusement.

Miyuki nodded at this assessment, before pointing to a particular piece, "This one is the most interesting."
It was clear why, instead of staining the wood to get different shades of colour, different types of wood was used instead to interlocking to create a picture.

Elros looked at the design. It was indeed quite well done, and a very nice design.
"Oh?" he asked with a smile. "You like it when they use different kinds of wood?"

"Yea! Because it all smells nice, and it's like a puzzle that shows a pretty picture," she explained.
Certainly something she had not seen before, it was really neat!

Elros smiled warmly at Miyuki. She was much more a child than Lin had ever been.
"Do you like puzzles?" he asked her, glancing briefly at Alena before focusing once more on Miyuki.

Miyuki thought about it, she had seen puzzles in the children's toy store but she never brought one because her mommy thought she would lose the pieces while traveling and once you lost them while traveling there was no finding them.
"I've seen them but I've never played them," she finally answered.

Elros was genuinely surprised by that. "Perhaps you could give it a try sometime," he suggested. "I think puzzles are the type of thing you might enjoy."
Miyuki was a thinker, and she was quite intelligent. Puzzles could be a good distraction for her.

"Hmm... okay, as long as I can't lose it, the pieces puzzles I can't have because we're always traveling and I might lose them."
She understood now that, that was really normal, and she figured it made sense. Where would the cities be if everyone traveled?

Elros pursed his lips thoughtfully. "Perhaps if your parents settle down somewhere," he murmured slowly, "or even if they have a place to call home between traveling ... you could keep it there so as not to lose the pieces, but still have the chance to use it from time to time."
Though if she was responsible with the pieces, he didn't see the problem with taking a puzzle with on their journeys.

Miyuki looked thoughtful at that, she couldn't imagine them having a home because they were always going somewhere.
"I guess so, but I don't know where, we're always going."

Elros smiled faintly at Miyuki and put one hand on her shoulder.
"There is always the future," he said softly. "You don't have to worry about it right now."
He squeezed her shoulder slightly, then released her and glanced over at Lin and Alena again.
