"Ooh..Right. I guess fire and water never really did mix well." She laughed quietly, though it only came out nervously this time.She was such an idot sometimes! Her eyes soon were brought upward, to look at the heavy darkend clouds hovering above them.Frowning, she begain to follow after him slowly so that she could keep a good distance from him.
"..Okay." She noded, though small things would cross her mind like, Metal and lightening didn't mix well ether. Wouldn't they be a target for lightening to hit,specially Korangar.

As they headed on, Korangar smirked, glancing to one side as lightning struck in the distance. "This could be quite interesting. But don't fear. If you aren't following too far away, I will be the one struck instead of you." And then the rain began to fall...everywhere except within a ten-foot radius of Korangar. Not only that, but as he progressed, the ground dried as the barrier of his heat aura passed over it.

"..But I dont want you getting struck ether...Would it affect you?" It seemed like a silly question to ask,but with as powerfull as he was,and just what he was, made her wonder if it would really affect him any.As the rain begain to fall, Rinoa raised up her arm so that the Shooting Star was hovering over her head,to act as a 'rain protecter'. But it was only then that she noticed the rain was falling everywhere else,but on her.
Glanceing foward at Korangar, she grinned a little. The 'walking' Rain exterminator. "Wow..Not even the rain can fall on us,amazeing!"

"Of course it would effect me. I am a physical being, after all. It just wouldn't effect me nearly as much. Not enough to matter, anyway." Continuing on, he arched an eyebrow at her opinion of his heat aura. "I have grown accustomed to it. It has been a long time since I let the rain touch me.. And I only did it because I thought I needed to be punished.. But then it would upset.." Falling silent, he shook his head and continued on, saying nothing more.

"Well then..I don't want you getting stuck ether.We'll leave it up to the lightening to decide who it wants to strike, so its fair. Right?" She tryed to attempt to make some sort of joke.Though she did walk just a little quicker.She wasn't intirely jokeing on the matter,Like she would stay back and have him be the main target of lightening.Maybe now it would 'confuse' it.
Shrugging, she had to think as she walked.What could she do, or say to bring Korangar in better spirits.She may not of know him that well,but she also didn't like seeing anyone down.Rinoa also knew just how he felt for that matter.She was away from someone she loved just as well,unsure if she would see that one person again.
"Hey! We should do something fun while we go on our journey. Um..We can.......C-count all the...um...strange things along our path! ..Or something.."

Shaking his head, he didn't answer, but kept his blazing eyes locked on the path ahead. After a good long moment, he finally spoke again. "..no..we must keep our wits about us. Sometimes, things attack for seemingly no reason, almost randomly."

Sighing, the young girl shook her head softly. So that attempt failed horribly before it even got a chance. There had to be something that lifted his spirts when he was down.Besides the one being that he was so down about in the first place.Rinoa wasnt about to give up trying to think of osmething,but it might of been a while until she actually did come up with anything usefull. By that time, they would probably already be in Midgar!Decideing to make a comment to his own, she finally spoke up again.

Nodding slightly as he continued on, he spoke, "..that is good, then. I'm surprised we've made it this far without being attacked. Perhaps the beasts can sense me, perhaps they're just not out right now...in either case, we still have far to go, and little guarantee that we won't encounter any resistance.."

"Yeah, It really is. Though we shouldn't talk to much about them, it might get jinxed and they will all show up!" It may of been a silly super stition,but with there luck, It might just have happend.Rinoa didn't quite know how powerfull the monsters were around here.All she knew was, she hoped they didn't turn out as strong as the ones she had her team had to fight in "The Island Closest To Hell." Those monsters were far stronger then any others around.
"Anyways! If anything does happen to show up,Im sure we are both ready for them."

"Yes, we are definitely prepared to take on anything this world might throw at us. I have already defeated one of the largest creatures this world had when I arrived. The smaller ones are far less likely to put up the same level of struggle."

"Really? What kind of creature was this that you defeated? Are there anymore of that type here?" She might as well get to know what were the dangerus creatures around here. At least to know what she should expect to see at any possible moment.
As she walked, Rinoa's deep brown eyes scanned the area of there surroundings, The storm, and darkend sky was such a nice sight. At least to her it was.People always got upset when a storm rushed into the picture,the darkned skys somehow putting everyone in such a gloomy state.But they never looked deeper into the situation, to see the true beauty of it.The rain was gorgeous and the sound it made was enough to put anyone into a calm rest,the gentle breeze was soothing,while the lightening was the show that always amazed her.

"It was a rather large one, I suppose. About as large as the military installation you saw yesterday, anyway. I guess you could say that was large.. And anyway, I don't know if many more of those exist. Creatures of that size are easy to see coming, anyway." He had long learned to ignore rain, as it could not touch him without his say-so. As for lightning, a stray bolt struck his head, the electricity sparking along the chains before melding into the links of metal, being ground out over the next few seconds.

"Mm. I suppose that's true. Easy targets. But then..well, Back at home we had the Ruby Dragons as you already know of, Which were huge! And we had a few other strange creatures, The most annoying of them all would have to be Marboral.Even larger then Ruby. But no matter how many we destroyed, there was always more showing up. I hope you dont have them here!"
As she took a pause, it was then that the bolt of lightening struck poor Korangar.Rinoa jumped back in suprise.Her deep brown eyes wide in shock as she ran a little closer to him.. "Are you okay?!"

Blinking, he turned to look back to her. "What? Oh, yes. I'm fine." Nodding, he continued on, but gave a slight glare skyward before looking ahead.

Calming herself as she got his responce, Rinoa sighed softly, shakeing her head.She had a feeling she would be in for a few suprises from now on. As long as she was with him for the few days it would be tell they got to there destination.Better get used to it.
"O-okay..Scared me! " Sighing again,she must of looked so silly by now.Slowing her pace once more to a gradual one, she continued to follow after him,trailing calmly a few good feet behind him.
