Travis kept his forced smile on his face, the longer he forced it the harder it got for him to keep it. As Core looked at the stars, Travis stood and watched her. He was able to stop the fake smiling and watch her curiosity of everything around her...
"She was nice enough to take me in..." Travis stopped at that, he didnt want to scare Core with the reality of his past. When she was ready to hear all of it then he would tell her. During the quick pause, right in that awkward moment of silence, someone landed on the bus behind them. Travis turned to see Ravi who seen he wasnt the only one on the bus and kindly greeted with a nod. Travis smirked and nodded back with a tip of his hat. Turning back around and walking to the edge of the bus, he sat back down next to Core and looked up at the stars with her.

Jagger began staggering a bit as she leaped from roof to roof. Her breathing had stopped but as she landed once more,she felt herself dry heaving. Taking advantage of her need to rest,she took a glance behind her,but found no sight of Ravi. Her eyes twinkled with caution as she looked around. She knew she hadn't kicked him hard enough to make him hesitate for more than a minute.
Suddenly,she fell to her knees,holding her stomach once more. She coughed,a dark fluid spilling from her mouth. Blood. Quickly,she wiped her mouth,still looking around...Then immediatly stopped. He was riding on a bus...and wasn't the only passenger that wanted her dead. She leaned over the edge watching all of them.
Well,Ravi is already making friends with another person that wants to see my head on a silver platter....What a day.. she thought to herself. But,she still managed a smile as her eyes rested on Core. Why wasn't Travis getting her out of there? He couldn't have missed Ravi's evil aura....could he? Her eyes glanced from Ravi to Core then Travis.

Core turned her head to look at Ravi as he landed on the double-decker bus. "Speak of the devil...." she whispered, and the devil shall come, she thought, continuing the saying.
After Travis's comment she realized that he didn't exactly feel to comfortable talking about his maker. She guessed that maybe she wasn't the most loving vampire, even though being a loving vampire was an oxymoron within it's self.
"I don't think I ever really heard your story - care to share?" Core asked Travis.

Ravi sighed,his eyes skimming the rooftops. If her were a human,he'd be quite exhausted. Jagger was having it worse,though. This put a smile on his face,as well as letting a laugh escape his throat. "You're probably shaking like a scared kitten." he said aloud,earning another laugh.

Travis looked down at his hands...
"My story...its a story of paranoia, deceit and hatred." Travis paused and took a deep breath...
"But if you insist on knowing, I feel its only fair that you know about me as I know about you. Evelyn was a vampire from a town close by. In order to protect herself she fed on the villagers of my town. My father was the quiet type, my mother was a psychic gypsy woman. Their behavior was suspicious to the other villagers. My father was in the house most of the time, he was quiet. My mother was already shunned and looked down upon because of her abilities and lifestyle. When the murders began and they had no clues as to what could possibly have done such morbid attacks, they did what any human would do...." Travis paused...then took a deep breath, clenched his hands into fists, and continued.
"They pointed fingers, their paranoia and suspicion grew and the only people who could fit their stories and gossip of the gruesome murders were my mother and father. My mother knew they were planning something, she knew things that my father did not and she knew they wouldnt survive. The night of the attack I was taken by horse to the ocean, just a baby, not knowing what was to become of me. My house was ambushed and burned down, my father taken to the courtyard and beaten, accused, punished for a crime he did not commit. He was burned at the stake, the very stake my mother was burned on when she returned to the village, she knew it would end like this. Evelyn couldnt bare children, she was a widow. It was not our knowledge that this was because she was dead. Evelyn had family in new york...it was this family that I grew up with, a family and members of a group I would come to know as the coven. It wasnt until I was about 18 that I began wondering what was going on and what this group was. I had a letter from my mother, a letter about what had happened, a letter of closure. I was quiet and locked in the solitude of my room, Evelyn left to sit and think until she decided to sit down and talk to me. She told me she was the vampire who killed the villagers, she was the reason my parents were killed. In a fit of rage I attacked her, she laughed at me and told me the only way id be able to kill her was if I was a vampire. I ran off and thought about revenge and how id feel better knowing that such a monster didnt exist to kill anymore, even if it meant id become that monster. My anger got the best of me, I didnt think things through all the way, I returned to her. She wanted to die, she knew id return and she spurred my anger and knew exactly what buttons to push to get me even more angry. I accepted her offer and she changed me..." Travis looked at Core, then brought his hands up to his eye level and stared at them...
"These hands are stained with something that can never be washed off, memory...I killed Evelyn, I broke her neck and took off her head. She wanted to die, I gave her what she wanted and I regret doing so, but I dont regret what I have become. It was meant to be this way, I was meant to be like this, I have accepted and embraced what I am now...as much as I hate Evelyn for what she has done, I also thank her for what she had done because I wouldnt be who I am if she didnt." Travis sighed in relief, Core needed to know and he was so glad that he was done with his story. He placed his hands back in his lap and looked down at the street lines smoothly coasting along the bus.

Jagger continued to creep arcoss the rooftops,eyeing the three with caution. She felt slightly disappointed that she hadn't noticed the two were in the city. If she had known she would've lured Ravi to the park or the sewers. But the deed was done,and she couldn't fight right now. She rose to her feet,watching the bus drive further and further away. With one last glance,she thought, If he follows me,then you have decided to let me die,Lucifer. But, if you allow him to attack them,you have given me the power of revenge. her mentality allowing all the wisedom she held from her years of living to be revealed. Then,as fast as light,she disappeared.

Core lay in silence, listening carefully to Travis's story, trying to liven every word with an image in her mind. "So, now......" she started, but decided to leave it.
"When was the last time you spoke to any of those family members?"

"The others?" Travis asked trying to figure out what Core was trying to figure out...
"The family of Evelyn, they ceased communicating with me, it was for the best...I rarely seen them anyway, they were always doing their own thing while Evelyn cared for me and lived her life. Much like a human divorce, we exist in the same area but we dont acknowledge each others existence." Travis let out a smirk, e found it humorous comparing things to the life of a human...

"Huh," said Core, thinking a bit. "Well, truly, I was wondering if maybe we could go see them. I don't have any 'family' alive, so to speak," she admitted cautiously. "Although, I do see how you feel about her and I suppose it's the same towards her family. So, of course, we could do something else," concluded Core, smiling.

"If I knew their whereabouts and that they wouldnt try to start something id say it would be a lovely idea, but its for the best that we just steer clear of them. I know not much of them so they are strangers to me anyways. I do know that if my mother and father were still alive they would have loved to meet you." Travis looked at Core and smiled.

"Start something?" inquired Core, but realized he didn't exactly love sharing his memories about this particular family. "Well, the night is far ahead of us. What should we do?"

"That certainly sounds like fun," laughed Core, rolling back into a hand stand , then landing gracefully. "Anything I say, right?" she asked teasingly, place two hands on Travis's shoulders. Slightly shorter than him, with matching complexion, she leaned in. Slowly, she aimed her lips for his.

Travis smiled as Core excitedly popped up standing...
"Anything you say..." Travis answered her question as Core placed her hands on his shoulders and leaned in. Travis slowly leaned in also, meeting her lips halfway, pulling her closer to him and wrapping his arms around her.

Holding Travis in her grasp, Core pulled his head closer to her's gently with one hand. Travis, she thought to him, not completely realizing what she was doing.
