Richards wasn't so friendly.

"I'm sure if you wanted to eat us you'd have done it by now. or incinerated us. So other then those, why would you even want us here long then we have to be?"

"So you are the dragon he thought you were?" That was highly interesting, wasn't it? It annoyed him that his information had been wrong but that was something he was pretty much used to. Usually he did a better job weeding through the false information though. Picking up his stick that had been knocked flat out of his hand, he lit it once more with Jaebelltiah's invention and stood ready. "We'll follow you." Hopefully not into certain death despite what Richards might think.

He really hated being treated like a child, even though that's what he was, but any attention from Jaebelltiah perked him right up. He grinned between the two women, frowning at the way his toes had changed. Balance was a bit difficult for a moment until he sneezed suddenly and all went back to normal. "Thanks Jaebelltiah. I 'preciate it." He preened under Gem's praise and affection, ready to give her the world on a silver platter if she asked for it. "Can I help ye anywhere else?"

"Sort of your way of seeing, I suppose, hm?" This part of her routine made sense. If she felt it with her toes then she knew it was there and could figure out how big it was and not run into it. That much, he expected. It was her other bizarre behavior that still had him guessing. "I am. Lead on, Vryn. I'll follow at whatever pace you set. You know where they are and I only have a general idea. I can't sense life energies the way you can, just energy suckers."

A blink at the new little dragon who showed up, just how many are there anyway? Though it seemed that this little one was the new cabin boy, and that was sweet really. But Logan chuckled when the dragon tried to do the same thing like Jaebelltiah but could only go so far. "Nice try there." A turn to the white dragon again and he gave a small nod. "Yeah it's pretty easy like this, don't have to worry about my wings as much as I need too." Though both eyebrows went up when she told him their max height. "Sixty feet? Huh thought you guys were taller than that, oh well."He gave a shrug before looking at Gem and he chuckled. "I guess you really like your treasure then huh?"

"Yes. Other dragons are smart enough to stay out of these places." Waiting for them to get their light together and he got himself up, moving forward so they could indeed see the light on his scales and horns, though Richards was snuffed at. "Maybe I just like to see humans run around in panic as they so often do." Snuffing again hot breath on the pirate before looking to the other. "You can walk before me..." Because he wasn't doing to give them his back, little chance of them getting through his scales or not.

"You can help by coming back to the ship now. We have to get some things ready so we can leave. And Logan here needs a place to sleep. Can't do that without a cabin boy now can we?" Ruffling his hair again and keeping tight hold on her cake as she motioned back towards the ship, but a glance at logan. "Overly large hm? In that case....stay in a human form or this one. Last thing we want is more Rider attention."

"Sixty feet is big for here. Some of us are on the small side though..." Frowning at that and letting her fingers play with the little torn boot in her hands before she gave a strained smiled to Cyvalor. "No worries, you'll be old enough to do that all without a hitch when you're older. Now let's get your boot fixed."

"Mhm, better to feel it before myself and thus not run into it." Nodding lightly at him. "Good then, Chylithair?" The falcon giving a trill back to her before he left her shoulder, a green flash taking over his eyes a moment as he flew ahead of them. "Let's find these pirates then...sooner we do, the sooner the payout." Thusly taking off at a decent trot of a pace after the bird, though she had several close calls with rocks and the like...just because hse could see meant nothing...Savryn lacked depth perception. "Getting closer, things stronger?"

"But not all creatures." He was referring to the various bones they'd encountered on the way down through the passages. He didn't like the thought of the massive dragon behind him ready to snap him up at any available opportunity, but didn't have much of a choice either. Mustering his courage, he held the torch like it was a weapon and began to walk. "You'll tell me where to go?"

"Thanks Miss Jaebelltiah. I 'preciate it." Giving her a wickedly cute smile and then transferring said smile to Gem. "Okay! Oh, I mean, Arr, me Captain speaks and I obey." Saluting her in very exaggerated fashion before scampering along beside her and then in front of her up the gangplank, waiting rather impatiently. "Come on!"

The consistent drip-drop of a cave beneath the surface was absent but in a place that had more sand than water, that wasn't entirely circumspect. He did hear the prickly sound of sand brushing against stone and was suddenly mindful of the possibility of tracks. "Certain things are. We can't be much more than a passage or two away." Reaching out and gently resting a hand on her shoulder as sensitive ears flicked, taking it all in. "Bootsteps and voices. Come on."

Richard's stood there for a minute.

"How can we trust you not to kill us while our backs are turned?"

he wasn't exactly anymore likeing the idea of giving his back to a dragon then the dragon liked the idea of giving his back to them.

"And even if you lead us there...you siad you closed it off. you going to reopen it or do we get to sned the rest of our lives trying to undo a dragon sized doorstop?"

Logan blinked at Gem for a moment and then tilted his head. "Rider?" Another blink before he turned to the white dragon and smiled a bit. "In all fairness it's not the size that matters really. Sometimes big isn't always good." Though he watched as the little dragon went off after Gem, then called after them. Turning back to the white dragoness Logan smiled raised his human hand to the ship. "After you." Soon enough he found himself on the ship, looking around as this seemed to be his first time on one. "So it 'sails' on the sand?"

A breath of hot air knocked Richards over where he stood before Sae allowed him to get up and get moving behind Robins. "Why would I wait till your backs are turned? It wouldn't take much effort with you staring me in the face now would it?" Growling lightly in agitation...playing nice was irritating sometimes. "As your friend asked, yes I'll lead you...but not to that particular entrance. Your'e far cynical do you know that." Looking to Thobias, "Get walking." Padding along behind him, not caring to hid his prescense in the place. Though he did stop with another growl. "Looks like you're not alone down here." He could smell them both and hear them as well.

She slowed down as Kelligrin put a hand to her shoulder and indeed her ears picked up the same things, if not clearer. New sounds added in of walking and breathing that was much bigger than their own. A quick turn down a passage and she felt the heat of fire way too close to her as she almost slammed into Thobias. Scrambling backsteps a moment because of said fire, tripping on the uneven terrain some. "What, you two aren't eaten yet?"

"He's going to make a grand pirate." Giggling and trailing after the boy as he ran along with only one boot on and not a care to it. Ah to be a child. "We're coming Treasue, no need to rush. We have to wait for the first mate before we can set sail." Heading up the gangplank and stopping at the top, watching the other two trail up.

"You'll have your boot back within the hour Cyvalor." She swallowed nervously and turned a look to Logan. "Rider. Or more pointedly, Dragon Riders. They're a group that is in the business of breaking dragons into mounts." Nodding though as he was quick to change subjects and she was even quicker to follow that change. "Good that you know that, it would so some others well to understand that too." Names not going to be mentioned because she was in that group somewhat as well. But a nod to him and she filed ahead of him up the gangplank to the deck. "Yes. The sand is a lot like water and the ships sail it as if it were. There used to be a lot of water, but the weather took a bad turn so to speak."

Thobias resisted the urge to laugh at his companion since he'd learned long ago not to question certain things when in a delicate situation. Obviously the black dragon took offense to having the sanctity of his word questioned. He nearly screeched when something slammed into him, holding out his hands to keep whatever it was at bay and, in the process, nearly burning himself and the other elf due to the torch he was holding. Identifying Savryn, he breathed a sigh of relief. "We aren't appetizing enough. What are you doing down here?"

Seeing the disaster about to occur, he swooped in and took the torch from the pirate, using it to scan the surroundings and see Richards and the black as well. "Looking for you. But it seems someone else found you first." Nodding to the black dragon, he glanced back down the passageways. "Lady Silverfeather D'vinn can call to the Laerethe and they can get us out of here. Unless you'd like our gracious dragon friend to show you the way?"

He was not the most patient child in the world but he was eager to please. "What's a first mate? Can I be him instead?" Slightly confused over the sudden new terminology he was supposed to learn...among other things.

Logan blinked as he looked at Jaebelltiah for a moment, so this plane was somewhat different huh? "I see." Well now he was ticked, if he could spend more time here, maybe even move here. he would be glad to help free the dragons in captivity, or at least start something that would lead to that. "Of course, even though I'm fairly big with the right angle I can be taken down...still I wont go without a fight." He chuckled a bit as they made their way on to the ship. "I see, how did that happen? massive drought or something?" He never saw a whole plane turned into one huge desert, he had to wonder how do the people survive.

“Frankly I’m surprised and slightly disappointed that you’re alive. But that feeling will pass I’m sure.” Brushing at her overcoat lightly as if she was fearful there may be some hot ash on her as Chylithair landed on her shoulder once more.

Troublesome elves and Laerethe. “You can do whatever it is you please to do with them.” Stepping over them all, seeing as they were more or less ants for him to do so, he continued down the passage he had started down. “If you take them, then I expect you gone promptly. If I find you still wandering around…my fangs will find you. Or you can follow me and rest assured my fangs are settled. Whatever you wish.”

“A first mate is someone who is directly under a captain in the chain of command…and you’d have to fight Mister Robins for that position if you wanted it. But you are much more important, you are my cabin boy. I can’t live without my cabin boy.”

"It doesn't matter how big or small a dragon is...a well trained Rider can take one down if they have to. But they prefer egg snatching." Though she didn't want to talk about that too much. Hm, Kaznec would probably find this ...dragon...highly interesting. "Oh...well...very intense storms. A long time ago it all happened. Before a lot of us younger dragons were born."

Watching the black saunter off, he glanced at the elves and waited for what they thought was best. He was thinking it might be time to send a letter to his grandfather, just as a precaution. Whatever that man had gotten himself wrapped up in now, Thobias wanted no part of.

Shaking his head with an inward chuckle at Savryn, Kelligrin snapped his fingers and mentally tried to reach out to the Laerethe.

"You found them. Splendid job, Lady Necromancer. I knew you and your companion would get the job done." Rahsaveer's form hovered in midair made of sparkling particles for a moment and then the sands once again opened and the entire group was transported back on deck of the Chimera. "I assume you can find your own way back, Mister Robbins? I believe Captain Nereem is quite frantic to know you're safe."

He would forever hate that sort of instantaneous travel. He couldn't stand it when his father did translocation and this was almost precisely the same. He much preferred walking. Horses were fickle beasts and translocation or magical relocation just made his bones jump. He didn't like it too much. Shaking off the remnants of the feeling, he offered his thanks to the star-eyed creature and then made his way below deck.

"I could take 'im." Putting up his fists as if he really was going to fight an imaginary first mate. But her next words calmed him and he dropped his fists with a grin. "Okay!" He was more important, which of course only made him preen.

"Take me where? Certainly not somewhere like where I just was." Shaking his head as he climbed up the gangplank and ruffled the boy's hair then stopped before his captain. Swiping his hat off his head, he executed a bow. "M'lady. I apologize most deeply for causing you worry. As you see I am perfectly fine."

Richards of course went right to Hunter, and they had a brief and quiet discussion. Hunter nodded lightly, and went into his cabin, and Richards took the opportunity to move to the blind elf.

"Thanks for the help...we got ourselves in a bad situation there. and think things are only going to get worse soon. time is running out."

Desdemona came up the gangplank, carrying a chest probably of clothing...and spotted Richards, and promptly dropped it as his feet.

"Since it's your fault, you can put this away. Bed enough you went and got yourself in trouble but you had to drag in Gem's mate too didn't you."

before sauntering off into Hunter's cabin.

Logan gave a small nod to the white dragon, it seemed that this plane was a lot more dangerous than it seemed, he needed to be careful while he was on the ship from now on until he moved on. "Intense storms huh? Then I guess this place use to flourish then, so why hasn't it grown back yet?" That was usually the end result when a plane happened the change, after awhile it would reset so to speak. Logan though was more interested in learning about this plane, so he kept himself on deck instead of looking for a place to sleep, it be easier to do that later.

Ears twitched at the familar voice of the Laerethe and she turned to his general direction, giving a nod. "I rarely fail to dissapoint." Though she didn't like the transference thing again either and was left brushing sand off of herself again. "Certinally." About to head off though she stopped herself at the change in the sound of footsteps towards her before Richard's voice registered in her ears. She was actually getting thanked? "Time is always running out...but those of us who are smart enough know how to make use of it. Panic only wastes more time. Ponder that."

"I bet you could if you were nice and determined. But wait till you're a bit bigger or you'll never fit his clothes." Petting between his horns at his little puffed out chest look over her words before a light frown. "Take you below deck and flog you, that's where." Crossing her arms over her chest. "Fine is a relative term, Mister Richards."

"Because the land is just a scar now. The ground his healed on the surface but the scars run deep. Some pieces of land are healing well though, you just have to look for them." Blinking as Robins came back and she tugged Cyvalor over by his tail closer to her.
