AWESOME I have found other flute players on gaia biggrin
Good points to playing the flute:
1. It sounds freaking amazing.
2. It's easy to carry and usually easy to clean (cept piccolo GAWD! xd )
3. Come ON... it's flute biggrin
Bad points:
1. You are like NEVER heard.
2. The trumpets think they are so much better than you.
3. At my school during warm up we sometimes end up between the trumpets and the base drums... burning_eyes So it's like... the trumpets are already WAY too loud... and then the drums like AMPLIFY them! scream
I love flute so freaking much smile
Sonare pwns all other brands... and Armstrong is second best razz
At least that's how I feel right now... cos those are the brands I have xd
I have a good open holled Sonare for concert band... then my old 6th grade Armstrong basic flute for marching with biggrin
And I'm thinking of switching to piccolo next year or the year after that... because if it rains I can fit my whole instrument under my jacket xd

I lie awake dieing Edwards_little_apple Iam_Nobody17 Edwards_little_apple Yeah, i noticed that too. Unfortunately, over the years, the flute has been considered a 'girl's instrument'. Some guys just want to avoid the whole fighting sexuality thing. Which sucks, cause a guy looks sexy when playing a flute...especially when they're really good. That's my opinion since the flute is so gentle and mystical, depending on what song you play. lol i think you are right everyone thinks the flute is a "girl" instrument not so i dont belive in all this seperate everything by ur sex thing i mean what is their problem!??!?!?!? it makes me mad sometimes i was thinking the next instrument i should learn will be the flute i play alto sax. Thank you! Sadly, we've lost a lot of boy flute players because they keep getting insulted or teased because of their instrument. Not cool! CHA!!!! THAT MAKES ME SO MAD!!! scream scream scream One of my best guy friends marched and played flute this year... and they NEVER stopped picking on him... sad I thought it was cool because I had someone to talk to razz Besides... has anyone ever noticed that some of the best flute players in the world are men?! James Galway, for one. And playing the flute does not make you gay... stare I freaking love guys that play flute! They are so awesome smile (Though my bf plays violin... close enough xd )

Flutes pwn almost every other instrument that there is out there!!! heart heart heart My flute section durring Marching Band always gets stuck between the drum line and the trumpet line! Plus, my marching band instructor is very pro-trumpet. I got lucky last year though; there was a flute solo and I got it!!!

I am a flutist
I think all trumpet players are snobs cause there is this one kid in my 7th grade band and hes all like " I didn't make a mistake the flutes did" And I was like "you cant even here the flutes so how would you know if we made a mistake"
