((Couldn't Paul hid in the machine?))
Paul grunted irritatedly. "Okay, there goes my opening, dangit. What do you suggest now? Could've stayed down behind it for a while... if only we could get a disguise. I wonder if there's any external uniform that would fool them into thinking I was like an intern or something. A nice little henchman."

((No. The main carriage of the bot is the size of maybe a small European car.))
Jacob focused, guided by Ohanzee. Joe looked forward.
A chip of the sky fell away. Wait, what? Another. The sky was shattering like an enormous stained glass window, revealing a gray-green sky. As the plane passed through the hole in the sky, Joe felt a rush of mana from the very air around him. He began absorbing it at a prodigious rate.

Joe sighed aloud in absolute relief as his muscles suddenly unclenched. It was like being dehydrated, and suddenly getting the water that you need. It felt amazing. Then came the shock. The other part of getting water after dehydration. Joe clutched his head as his eyes rolled back. "That's a lot of mana," he gasped. Even now, his muscles hurt from being so tense for so long. He was going to take a little while to recuperate after this. He looked around. "I've never absorbed mana in that amount before," he said to Jacob. "Usually just a bit at a time." He closed his eyes as he spoke and put his head back.

Joe, without even focusing, was able to keep the plane smoothly flying.
((One of the alternative options you had was to simply Aegis the whole plane and let it crash. :3))

"Wow!" Joe said, growing elated. He coiled his healing energy back into himself, and was amazed when he healed all the way up, nearly instantly. "This is great!" He rocked the plane from side to side. "Can you put us down, Jacob?"
(((...really now? xp ))

There seemed to be little pattern to the dress of the rogue Clockwork Knights, save for that nearly every single one had some sort of copper-tinted mechanism on them or integrated into them.

Jacob nodded, mesmerized by the transformation. He began to set the plane down. Once they were almost finished with their decent, he released the landing gears and began to land.
"So this is Crossover..." he said.

Ohanzee corrected.
Odd things, presumably the plants and animals that developed in an Unreality-saturated environment, fled the area around the landing plane.

"Have we been to this Tier before?" Joe asked anyone that was listening as he initiated the final landing checks and turned off the "Fasten Seatbelts" sign. He made to leave the cockpit.

"Which tier is it?" Jacob asked while trying to make out the odd things that were moving out of their way. "I know I haven't been here before."

You shoved through all the way to the eighth or ninth, the Djinn informed him.
Joe passed this information along.
Ohanzee sputtered.

Joe let out a whistle of admiration. "Wow! Man, that's amazing! I don't think I could even come close to that. Maybe you should train in like, planeswalking. That would go well with your Shadow abilities. We could definitely use one, too." Inwardly, however, he was much more troubled. Now that they had landed safely, he had time to think. What was that Sage-thing?
