Hunter had his spies everywhere, and reports were filtering back that Gem was looking for Thobias. With any luck they'd find him quick enough and get him back. But a glance over at Desdemona, motioning her over and talking with her privately for a moment. She gave him a skeptical look, but nodded and left the ship to do what she was asked to do.
Finding Gem was the easy part. there was never much trouble finding a female pirate captain. The hard part was going to be avoiding the kill the messenger part. And who did we have here? another boy that they found...and what the hell was he?
"Captain Nereem, I have some bad news to give."

"Well reveling in treasure does get boring after awhile...doesn't it?" He turned his gaze to the white dragon and smiled a little. "Interesting." Though his eyebrow popped up again as Gem decided to tell him how things were, and it wasn't too bad. As long as he got a ride around the place before he decided to hop to another plane then that was fine, though if anyone tried to force him to do something he didn't want his claw will be around their neck. Thinking for a moment Logan was weighing a few things in his head before he turned to Gem and gave a nod. "Alright I'm coming aboard." Though a blink as it seemed another dragoness came to talk to them, this one was different than Jaebelltiah it a lot of ways for sure.

"Not when you're a woman or a dragon I suppose." Giving a laugh to that one and rolling her eyes lightly. "He's one for adventure I see." Blinking though as Des came upon them and she threw her hands wide in greeting...muffins always put her in a good mood. "Desi! Well I haven't seen your grumpy face lately, I don't know whether to be pleased or not. Desi this is Logan my new....something or other I haven't decided yet." Though a frown then as Desi brought bad news with her grumpy look. "And that would be?" Hands back on her hips in irritated fashion.

Logan smiled a little, Gem seemed to be an overall nice pirate, and here the halfling thought they were all toothless, eyeless, legless murdering bastards. Though he blinked and grinned a bit, a fang made its appearance. "If I wasn't for adventure then I wouldn't be standing in your presence. Though when Gem tried to give him a label for being new to her crew Logan scratched his head with one of his claws before he gave a shrug. "General laborer I guess, unless you need me as a watchman or something." It may not look like it but he could protect her ship without much of a problem, if he needed too.

"Both first mates may be later then expected or not at all. their ship got swallowed, their somewhere in a series of caverns below our feet. Hunter had the elves sent to look for them, courtesy of the little star eyes. With any luck, the elves will find them before something else does."
Her attention turned to logan for a bit.
"and what are you? half lizard? I didn't know that was possible."

And there went the happy. "And let me guess you decided to tell me just so I can have a bad day now rather than doing something really useful like helping to look yourself. Who am I kidding, you probably want Richards to die anyway. You get to be first mate again." Shaking her head and giving a sigh. She swore she was going to be done with Hunter if this kept up. "Ice, we may have to go hunting. Just know that...Desi go back and bear bad news elsewhere...Logan you better get on the ship and pick a hammock to sleep in. And has anyone seen my new cabin boy?"

A blink as both Gem and the dragoness Des went back and forth at each other, seemed that the mood went south of the first mates of both ships huh? Well it seemed either Logan came at a good time or a bad time, depended on how one looked at it. A look to the bronze dragon and a eyebrow went up. "Well you're a dragon, it shouldn't be too hard for you to notice one standing right in front of you right?" Calling him a half lizard, the nerve of some people. A look back to Gem and he shook his head a little. "I can look for a hammock later, I'll come along just in case. Besides this will allow me to look around like I want to.

"No one helps, because we don't know how to get in. the little star eye pulled some kind of trick to get the elves in there. we didn't even know where they were until Hunter asked for help locating them. unless you think you can get them to do more, we don't have a way to the tunnels to help."
looking back at Logan.
"No dragon here has a neutral form that his shaped like your and has no wings or tail. So do forgive the assumption that you weren't one."
flicking her tail a bit just to prove the point.
"The necromancer will find them quicker then we can anyhow. I knew him sending me here to keep you updated was a bad idea."
crossing her arms and snorting a bit before turning on her heel and going to do what she wanted to do. which usually included shopping and eating.

She snickered. "Blame him for making you the one that no one likes for the hour. Seems he has a bad habit of setting you up Desi!" SHaking her head and rolling her eyes before turning back to the other two. "Nothing is ever simple around here and Hunter is just trouble. But she is right Logan...I was thinking the same thing. The dragons here just don't have neutral forms like that." Pointing to Bell, "Point and case, as well as you saw with Desi."

A look back and forth between the Capitan and the bronze dragon, then looked to the white one for a moment before he sighed and shook his head. "Where I come from there can be a mix, half and half. I'm just an example of that. Half human, half dragon. Recently though I've been able to acquire the ability to switch between dragon, human, and mix without much of a problem." Case in point he stretched out his dragon arm. There was a small whoosh as air began to form around his dragon half and soon enough it wasn't visible. When the air dispersed a few moments later his dragon arm was a normal five fingered human arm. The scales on his face were completely gone too, and his dragon eye was now a normal blue. A blink as he looked to all three. "Now I would turn to my dragon form but..." He paused as he looked around and shook his head. "I would cause some damage so no." Then suddenly scales began to appear, coming out of his flesh and back onto the same areas that they were before. His human hand morphed, his fingers melting together and getting bigger and longer until it was a normal dragon arm again. As for his eye well the normal blue faded and it blured until his dragon eye appeared. "So there, that's me in a nut shell." Well not everything but enough.

She watched him, it was a lot like they did only it seemed....more strenuous on the body. "We don't have half dragons on our plane, I suppose it's the difference in the way we're 'born' in different manner than the humans and elves and we can't adapt to their way and they can't ours. Your dragons must be born like the humans are then, yes?" SHaking her head lightly and holding up her own hands, letting a silvermist rise around her forarms down to her fingertips that glowed brightly a moment before she too had dragon paws, but five clawed instead of like Logan's. "Those of us who are old enough can helf transform too, but we never can lose our tails, wings, or horns." Employing silver mist again that changed her paws back to hands and she wiggled her fingers. "I'm sure the people appreciate you not shifting to your full dragon form, we're all much too big for here. In Ilindal, the city is big enough to accomodate even a full size dragon."
She looked a bit creeped out. "I hate it when you all do that, it's unsettling."

Richards was not thrilled. cornered by a dragon, in one of it's lairs. wonderful.
"So, thobias...got a game plan for getting us out of this or at least able to leave his presence?"
whispering to him and letting a hand rest on his flintlock. wouldn't hurt a dragon unless he shot him right in the eye...and even then you wouldn't live to see the result. but it made him feel better all the same.

So there must be a difference which meant he was not from this plane. "Well I don't have a tail or horns, not unless I'm in my dragon form. As for wings..." There was a small flash and suddenly two large leathery wings appeared, Logan made a face as he flexed them before they disappeared once again. Though he gave a small nod as Jaebelltiah explained the way that the city was the only place that could allow one such as himself to transform fully. "Well I hope they can allow a one hundred foot dragon to come about, I don't want to knock down any buildings."

He was working on it, dammit. Why couldn't Richards make himself useful and figure out a way out of their current predicament? He felt a bit better when the paw removed itself from his belly and he sat up, then pushed himself to his feet. "A roamer? We appreciate that as we ourselves are such. I believe we owe you an apology for bursting in on your home. Do you think you might be able to show us the way out so that we can leave you to your solitude? I was told that there's a tunnel that runs into the atoll at some point."
"I believe so. There are other creatures down here but they're simply fodder for the dragon if he or she is so inclined. Energy and size readings tell me it's a male though. That or a very large female." Which from what he'd seen thus far didn't typically happen. He was watching her still, taking her explanation and working it out in his head. It made perfect sense, actually and glancing to the left confirmed her assumption. The pirates hadn't gone that way though. "Praytell, why does Malikhai wear the same kind of boots? Is he just paranoid about his toes?" After all, his brother was paranoid about his shins. Came from being knocked one too many times with a polearm by their father.
"Here!" Popping up just as she asked about him with a container in hand. "I wanted to make ye's happy and the only thing that makes me happy when I'm sad likes ye is chocolate cake." Thus presenting the covered plate with all the flourish of the dragon that he was. He'd rather enjoyed hunting it down too. He gave a happy grin at seeing Jaebelltiah with her but frowned. "I didn't bring none for ye Jaebelltiah but I can get somes if'n ye want me to." Then a grin at the male dragon with her. "I can do it too!" Focusing really really hard, he managed to make three of his toes into claws and rip his boots in the process. "Well...kinda."

"Must save you trouble when goign throught doorways and such. We have that kind of trouble ourselves, but most places are built with us in mind as well." Shrugging lightly...he did have some good things. But then a blink. "One hundred feet? We don't get that big here. Only sixty feet." Shaking her head, he was definately from somewhere else. A blink and smile at the dragonling as he popped back up. "That's alright Cyvalor, you can get me something nextime." Wasn't it cute? He was talking like a pirate. Crouching down, she took hold of his foot and took off his boot, revealing the little digitgrade toes beneath, little talons and all. "I'll fix your boot for you. You have to remember that when we change only parts, our clothes don't meld like they usually do." Ruffling his hair then.
"Oh you brought me cake you wonderful little dragonling you!" Plopping a kiss on one of his horns as she took the cake from him with a smile. Well he just fixe her bad mood, she knew that much. Cake or muffins made everything better. "I knew I made the best choice in cabin boy. Isn't he adorable? And he looks just like treasue too."
She couldn't help but laugh lightly. "Pretty much. Since he's a swordsman, he wants to protect his toes. I also want to watch my toes but at the same time, I can use the tips for such things as these...and if you notice...I'm always toeing things." But then a nod to other things, "We'll keep in that direction then. Are you good to pick up the pace to a jog?"
"Frankly, I would like to let you wander about and die eventually...but humans leave an awful stink behind. Besides...my nephew needs you." The passage you're looking for...I blocked that up a long time ago. Too many people slinking down here. So I suppose I should point you in the right direction, but you'll never make it blind. Get your fire." Getting in good with them for now could alwyas serve him well later.
