Monty James & Abigail Hayes So this is a real ninja? Or is he just a student like I am? Monty inches in front of me slowly as I realize a battle was about to go down. "M-Monty-" "Quiet." I do as I am told. "We apologize. Perhaps you can put down your, um, weapon? Then we'll just leave and be out of your hair." For some reason I don't think that's going to work. For some reason I feel like this is it for Monty and I. The ninja... student... this person before us appears to be our personal angel of death. Will I die on this day? Will Monty die on this day? Just take me. I can only guess that Monty is thinking the same thing. Slowly we inch back from the man, stepping in time with each other. I only pray that he lets us leave. Words = ?

 Honehime tried to follow Echidna's explanation, but the only image that came to mind couldn't possibly be right, that was far too perverted! Of course that's what it actually was, but she didn't know that. In her moment of distraction, she was a sitting duck to Echidna's throw, landing sprawling in the tree sap with a goopy splash. She tried to move upright again and slipped in the sticky liquid. She managed to sit up and stare at Echidna, halfway between a frown and a glare. Her entire body was splattered in the sap in a pattern that many of the more lecherous would instantly recognize and enjoy. She spat out a mouthful of the liquid, and then gulped nervously upon hearing her orders. Her mouth opened and closed a few times as if she were trying to talk, but the threat of a looming rematch, nude and in the middle of town, had her terrified. (25408 words + 161 words = 25569 words) Once the light had faded, Lieselotte dared to move closer, though not as close as she usually might. she still wasn't sure exactly what had just happened. Her fighter's instincts were telling her that Sakazuki was stronger, but that she was in no danger, so she wasn't too worried. Just a little wary of the unknown. She stared curiously at the vastly shrunken form of Sakazuki's new partner, wondering how such a thing was even possible. She knew magic existed, but that didn't mean she knew what it really was or how it worked, after all. Instead, she drew a little closer, and then finally noticed Sakazuki's new outfit, surprised that even that had changed. Such a bold outfit, did Sakazuki know about it, want to wear something like that? It definitely looked like something a fighter would wear rather than someone who could use magic. (21785 words + 152 words = 21937 words) Katsu obediently crawled into Shuku's lap at her direction, settling back to lean her head against Shuku's chest as she looked at her Mistress. Did Mei really not recognize her? The thought was a daunting one. After all, pokegirls could be given a Level 5 Taming Cycle and forget everything they'd ever known, what if the same had happened to her Mistress? She certainly looked enough like a pokegirl for it to be possible! She was just beginning to get worried when Mei smiled slightly and said her name. She spoke it slowly, as if trying it out. "...Katsu...? Oh, of course, Katsu! Hi!" Of course, the cow girl didn't quite remember Katsu just yet, her mind was still sleep addled, but she had had far too much practice at adjusting to her forgetfulness for it to stop her too completely. So she acted like she remembered. In time, hopefully she actually would. (28275 words + 157 words = 28432 words) Zenia mulled over the response for a moment, thinking over it's significance. She had one more chance, she couldn't afford to fail a second time! That meant she had to make sure she was ready for a fight. Not just with Achenbach, but also with her friend. She looked down at herself for a moment, noticing the discoloration of several bruises, and the plentiful bandages. She felt ready to fight again, but she was too pragmatic to actually let herself. She'd stay here and rest, recover. And only when she felt she was at her best, when she felt capable of winning easily, only then would she return to the hunt and track the two down. With that decided, she moved over to the bed and flopped down, not bothering to cover up, falling almost instantly asleep. She would get some rest, and then proceed from there once she awoke. She had paid for several more days for the room, so she was in no rush. she would take all the time she needed, to make sure everything went as planned. (8241 words + 184 words = 8423 words) Melona only smiled and nodded as their plates were switched. Personally, she didn't really care too much about what she ate, she didn't eat much solid food anyways. Most of the time, she was on a liquid diet, because it was so much easier for her unique body structure to process. A little bit of food here and there didn't give her trouble, but if she were to regularly eat full meals, that would just be asking for trouble. So she enjoyed a portion of the bento, taking small bites as she let her gaze wander around the cafeteria. Every once in a while, her gaze would return to Menace, and she would smile at the Imhotep's satisfaction with her new meal. That was more satisfying than either one of the meals would have been to her, anyways. She could always get a drink later, too, if she needed it. (10975 words + 154 words = 11129 words) Alice reluctantly obeyed, looking for all the world like a spoiled and unruly little girl out for a walk, and only barely willing to listen to her caretaker. Of course that wasn't the situation, just as it wasn't a set-up for some perverted fare that many of the villagers watching them might have thought, and hoped, for. So she slowed down a little, but continued walking forward. The village's gates now loomed before them, the twin doors yawning open as if to welcome them back from their brief venture outside. So far, she had not found her bag, but she felt confident that she would. After all, if she was to settle her fight with Airi at the end of the Queen's Blade, she had to be at her best! Which meant having her weapons! So she simply had to find them, that was the only way they could have a proper battle. (11306 words + 158 words = 11464 words) Even though she was seemingly eating her meal at a much more sedate pace, in actuality, Haku wasn't too far behind her friends in cleaning her plate. She wasn't quite ready to order something for dessert, though, so she started thinking about what she might like, rather than trying to decide at the last moment and causing a delay like she just had done earlier. Numerous delicacies came to mind, desserts that she had tried and wanted to, but she had trouble deciding. As she took another bite of her meal, she wondered if there was any sort of dessert that might go well, thematically, with her main course. After all, some combinations just didn't turn out the best. Like eating something spicy, and then immediately moving onto something that was too delicate. The remaining spice on your tongue would taint the dessert. No, there was a balance to all things, even something as innocuous as desserts. But what went good with an antipasto? She tried thinking of desserts that had come from the same region of the world as the dish itself, but that didn't narrow it down too much. Luckily, antipasto wasn't a heavily flavorful dish, it wouldn't clash with too many desserts, no matter what she might choose. (6376 words + 218 words = 6594 words) Upon being given permission to leave, V-13 did. She didn't run in haste to avoid being late, she moved at a measured stride equal to the normal marching pace set in effect for drills. She soon arrived at the starting point of the obstacle course. From here, there were any degree of directions she could go, any of several different standard obstacle course tracks she could follow. Some were more complex than others. Some were designed more to measure stamina and flexibility, others combat prowess. Some of the obstacles themselves were almost as technologically advanced as she was. Others were simple constructs of rope, tires and sandbags. She waited for her superior officer to get into position in the observation zone, and waited to be given orders on which track to attempt. In her many days of service, she had tried each one at least once. She had never successfully finished even the basic course, something that even the greenest of fresh recruits were generally able to do. As she waited, that same hidden program continued functioning, measuring standards against expected values, calling up bits of stored memory, creating new subroutines that could come into play without her ever being truly aware of them. The program had already progressed quite far along it's scheduled development. The data construct it had formed was nearing completion, it required three things. A little more time. Physical exertion to provide more energy for the alteration process. And an outside stimulus. This last one would likely prove the most difficult for the program, it had a list of several potential triggers, but none seemed very likely to happen. It would have to advance the process by as much as possible until a suitable trigger was found. Perhaps this latest exercise might prove fitting? (4047 words + 301 words = 4348 words) Etheldreda frowned slightly at being called a fairy. It didn't really bother her, aside from just a general propensity for things being called what they were. She was a little bit of a stickler for that, likely just a side effect of so long spent trapped inside a library. She hovered in place as she met Sakazuki's gaze, before answering. "No, I'm still as I was, just diminished somewhat. Once the merging wears off, we shall both return to normal until the next time we need to combine." She had no idea how often or how rarely Sakazuki would want to, or need to, combine with her, but in the end it made little difference. With the formation of the Pact, their fates were interconnected now, so what Sakazuki wanted was what she would want, to at least some extent. That wasn't to say she was the Circe's slave or puppet or anything. They could, and likely would, in time, argue. They could disagree, want different things. But when the chips were down, when their backs were against the wall, they would more likely than not be totally in tune with one another. (2405 words + 198 words = 2603 words) Dizzy noticed Shouko's look of confusion and wondered if she had been hoping for something else to drink. There weren't really all that many sources of refreshment out here. If she had time, she could probably extract juice from some fruit, but she couldn't even remember the last time she had seen a real fruit tree. There were some somewhere relatively nearby, but they were just far enough away from her glade that she didn't usually stay out long enough to see them. Too risky, at least in her mind. Even if she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she wouldn't encounter a human, she would still be nervous upon leaving the safety of her glade. She took her seat once more before returning her napkin to her lap. she apologized if the water wasn't cold enough, the air had been getting a bit warmer these past few days. She carefully picked up a second morsel, a pastry this time, and carefully bit down into the flaky crust. (2364 words + 176 words = 2540 words)

With a slight tink in his neck, before a slow smile sweeps across his face, he spins his hand towards himself, entering into a sweeping bow that would make even a regal prince's face go red in jealousy. "Allow me to give you the courtesy, of hearing the name of your Angel of Death." He says, funny how he would use the same wording, that this female had believed him to be. "I am Virus. An unknown model of Hidden Gears. And from my hand, your death will come swiftly." He says, almost as if he didn't care about anything at all. In truth, his mechanics were so dysfunctional, that it was hard for him to show the emotions that were needed in this way. "Fair thee well." He replies simply, before the wires take aim once again, releasing multiple blasts of pure condensed chakra in a slate blue color in the direction of either of them. As soon as they were shot, he was running forward, making sure to gain distance to them in order to continue with the attacks he had planned. He was made for battle, made for killing, a being to be reckoned with that was sure. But now, he planned to kill them as easily as any other mortal, any other organism can be killed. By ripping them into little tiny pieces.

| They ish dead. v.v | Monty James & Abigail Hayes I watch Monty as he seems to frown at this male, Virus', bow. He seems very charming but he seems foreign to emotion. His voice seems to hold no emotion and he doesn't seem to care about my life or Monty's. Well, that's not true. He cares to end our lives. He tried keeping them all from striking me despite him not even knowing what was happening but I never did have the best luck when it came to dodging things. Heh, Year of the Ram... what a wasted Chinese Zodiac. Before I knew it I was on the ground bleeding from different places on my body. Monty had blocked some blasts with his body for me but it was all in vein. And now he was injured. How can he fight like this? "Monty..." "Don't speak," he growls as his hair begins to stand upward and grow longer slightly. He's trying to change form? He'll die. "I'm not going to make it." He says nothing and stands from me. I grab for his left hand and he slowly lowers himself back down to the ground where I lay. "We're not going to make it. So... I just want you to know that I love you even if you don't love me. All this time we've been together... and now..." "Reserve your strength." I think that's what he said. I can barely hear him. I guess I'm in worse shape than I thought. Before I can utter another word he's laying on top of me. I examine him with the little strength I have left to see a huge hole in his chest. He was hanging on by a limb. I clutch Monty close to me before my eyes slip shut. So death can be peaceful despite the circumstances. Words = ?

The second that Neru had gotten the menu for dessert, Miku finished her meal. Surprisingly, it almost looked as though she had licked the plate clean since there was almost no evidence that she had had food on the plate to begin with. The truth was, though, that miku had managed to keep herself from doing such an act. After all, even if she didn't realize people were watching she still knew deep down that any one could be watching her. Such an act would be disgraceful in more ways than one. No. The reason for her plate being so clean was how careful she had been, despite her haste. With the right motions, no morsel of food had been safe, and now she would once again repeat this act of leave-no-man-behind tactics on a poor, unsuspecting dessert. But which one? So many decisions to make...

Beelzebub watched the girls curiously and listened to Mei noticing a strange strain in her voice before she had her revelation, remembering the sheep girl, Katsu, and then agreeing. He noticed she seemed skeptical about knowing the girl at first, her voice faltering with the first saying of her name but shrugged, she had just woken up and was probably groggy. He looked down at the makeshift stove, noticing the meat had turned a perfect brown, almost perfectly brazed on both sides... it was finished. He reached his hand under the 'stove' turning his hand quickly to cause a hand of earth to smother the flames. "The food is ready, please enjoy." He said smiling and motioning to the cooked meats before him, also laying the raw vegetable onto the stove. Czernobog looked at the stove shrugging when Beelzebub said to enjoy, he wasn't hungry at the moment, he had eaten before they even arrived at the academy and had done nothing physical enough to work the food off yet. He looked down at his hand, turning his palm to face him and watched as a small pool of red liquid started to form in his hand. He turned his hand slightly, watching as the liquid formed into a perfect sphere the size of a marble and then solidified, rolling gently across his hand. He closed his hand, wrapping it around the small orb and decided to ask once more, scooting closer to the three women. "Excuse me... but if you don't mind me asking... what brings you three to the academy?" He asked curiously, wondering what inspiration these women had for becoming nin.

Sakazuki blinked, her mouth open in a slight O shape as she listened to the explanation of her new ally. “I see…” She whispered before extending a single finger to pat the little magical entity on the head as if she were a fragile chick or something else that was adorable and tender. Eventually, she took note of her friend’s presence as she looked towards Lieselotte and smiled. “Liese… I’d like you to meet Etheldreda, a book of mass epicness,” she said softly as she pat the minified girl again with her finger, seemingly finding the ‘fairy’ to be too adorable to be left alone. “And Ethel, I’d like you to meet my friend, Lieselotte.” Oh dear, there she went using that word again! Friend… She thought on the brawl that she had just had merely minutes ago before her gaze moved over towards the puppeteer.
===

A sigh of relief escaped the Mayonaka as she observed this scene. It was quite evident that Mei did not properly remember the Pokegirl… Or at least, not recognize her by her ‘new name’, though it was still one of those moments where the cowgirl had managed to pull through for them… And for Katsu’s sake as well. With that, Shuku looked over towards the boys who were still at work cooking their dishes. Soon enough however, it appeared that the said dishes were soon complete, a question coming their way.
"...The same reason as everyone else, I suppose," she said quietly, as if she weren't sure if that was the proper response.
((Massive brainfart here.))
===

Airi passed through the gates without a word. However, she assumed that the next time she walked past the Academy gates, she wouldn’t ever do so against as she held her scythe before using the blunt, non- bladed end to deliver a stern, but painless thump to her rear, as if she truly were a caretaker disciplining the unruly child for her attitude. However, she smiled quietly, silently saying that she meant nothing personal behind the little tap to her behind.
===

To say that Menace was merely enjoying her meal would’ve been a mild understatement. It overwhelmed her taste buds. Being the closest thing that she had had to ‘gourmet’ in a long while, Menace was single handedly devouring every portion of food that had been unfortunate enough to be placed upon her plate. By the time her meal was done, bits and pieces of her meal clung to he face and cheeks. Miraculously however, not a single drop of food had managed to stain her new attire. At this point, it seemed to be no wonder why the girl seemed to have a slightly chubby appearance. She looked around however, realizing that she hadn’t grabbed a towel as she ground slightly, deciding that she would have no choice but to wipe herself clean with her hands.
===

“Just because I’m talking doesn’t mean you should let your guard down!” Echidna bellowed before she threw herself down onto the smaller form. “Whether it be in mud, sap or on the fields or in the sky, a battle is a battle, Honehime. Don’t you ever forget that.” Her arms snaked forward, looking to grasp Honehime by the wrists and pin her down, wishing to submerge the majority of her body beneath the sticky substance. After all, in Hone’s current state, she would need much more of the syrupy substance to cover her if were to have the sap fulfill it’s job.
===

Neru gazed at the menu quietly. Though she wanted to pig out, she also didn’t want to eat anything that would send her weight snowballing out of control… She had an image to keep up. She nibbled her bottom lip. The tiramisu or the red velvet cake…? Both pictures looked equally tantalizing as she sighed. She glanced over at Miku for a moment. Why not get both? she thought… After all, since they would be starting training, she could spoil herself now and work it off later, she assumed. Flagging down the waiter by waving her menu, she handed the laminated sheet to him. “One slice of the tiramisu and another of the red velvet cake,” she said shortly before the waiter glanced to Haku and Miku, hoping that they had made their orders as well.
===

Approaching they keyboard, Pan pressed a button then watched as the screen seemed to come to life before her like a hologram; a feature that she, honestly, never got bored of. “V-13,” she spoke, her voice resonating through one of the many speakers that had been positioned. She pressed several more buttons and the course seemed to shift as the commanding officer prepared the course; one of the more modern ones which focused upon exploiting one’s surroundings as well as combative prowess. Automated turrets as well as robotic training dummies were present amongst the many iron barriers that were scattered here and there. Though she had plans of espionage and such, it was proper to see what exactly she could do as whole. “Please proceed forward when you are ready,” she added, her voice echoing again as she got the weapon system for the obstacle course online.
===

“It’s fine…” Shouko said, dismissing the water’s temperature after taking a quick sip. While Dizzy seemed to start on dessert, the Akimichi was taking another sandwich slice into her mouth. Around her however, she seemed to be taking note of the movement, as several animals seemed to enter the cleaning once more. Did they finally feel that it was safe since their protector had seemingly welcomed this human guest? Or was it the food that had gained their attention? “…Can you talk to them?” she asked quietly as she started at the blue haired girl.

James walked on the sidewalk beside the trees slowly, he looked at the other students and he sighed. He looked around. The wolf pup emerged from behind and gave out a loud bark. He smiled and he grabbed the small wolf. Then he placed him inside his jacket and jumped up the branches to get a better view. He jumped on the roof beside the restaurant and he entered through the balcony and he sat on a table beside a girl, who was deciding her dessert.
"Well Kyo, what shall we eat?" he asked the wolf pup as he looked at the menu.
He chose a salad as an appetizer and a bowl of meat ramen for Kyo. They both ate slowly and enjoyed it. {Henge no Jutsu: 125/300}

 Once more, Honehime was taken by surprise and sent sprawling into the sap once more. Her garbled cry of shock sounded something like "Prlgrglfoo" but that was obvious nonsense. She scrambled to try to find purchase int he slippery sap, but Echidna was already upon her, and on her, trying to grapple her once more into the sticky sap. Her cheeks ablaze with embarrassment, she nonetheless tried to fight back. At first, just the random flailing of panic, doing virtually nothing to hinder Echidna's onslaught. But then she finally was able to force herself to calm down at least somewhat, and continue the fight with a cooler head. She was currently pinned by Echidna, but she concentrated, and a pillar of bone grew from her back sharply, pushing her upright. Hopefully that maneuver would surprise Echidna enough to break her grip. (25569 words + 142 words = 25711 words) A book? Lieselotte stared curiously at the currently miniaturized Etheldreda, wondering how int he world anyone was supposed to think she was a book. Magic or no, that didn't even make the tiniest bit of sense. From the little experience that she had with magic, there was always some logic to it's workings. Maybe no true logic, but you could almost see a path of sense to it. But this? This was something else entirely. Then again, she little, little, little girl wasn't refuting the claim, so could it possibly be true? She knew that both of them, Sakazuki and Etheldreda, knew much more about magic than she did; she supposed she would just have to leave it up to their judgment, then. She nodded a greeting to the miniature girl, introducing herself. "Pleased to make your acquaintance, Ezzeldreda. So, you are a book?" (21937 words + 147 words = 22084 words) Katsu continued to lounge in Shuku's lap, seemingly satisfied with Mei's answer. As long as she wasn't totally forgotten, that was enough. She'd just have to make sure to make lots of new memories with her Mistress and her Alpha. When the young men asked why they had come to the Academy, she remained quiet, as that part of the conversation didn't affect her. She didn't even know what academy they were talking about. This forest certainly wasn't an Academy. Well, there could be Elves somewhere nearby... Mei, on the other hand, did remember the Academy. She remembered it, finally. "The Academy! Oh, I never showed up! I bet they are going to be really upset with me! Oh dear, what am I going to do?" She had apparently forgotten that she had forgotten to actually show up to the Academy at all. (28432 words + 150 words = 28582 words) Zenia slept for quite some time, unperturbed by dreams. She had them, simple manifestations of her subconscious memories. But she didn't pay them any mind, they were utterly inconsequential. Sleep was a time to rest and recover, nothing more. So she slept. Once she finally woke up, she sat up and began slowly going through a simple series of movements. This was both a regular part of her daily workout, as well as a good test to see how her body had fared through her rest. There was still some tightness in her muscles and tenderness at the bruised spots, but overall she was healing nicely. There was one more thing she could do to help speed the process up, however. Food. she hadn't eaten in some time, and the body could repair itself more easily with an influx of protein and other necessary vitamins and minerals. She picked up the room's phone and called down an order to room service. She began removing her line jacker from it's cord, no point in letting it be seen. (8423 words + 181 words = 8604 words) Melona smiled slightly as she slowly ate a little bit of her own meal, content to just watch Menace enjoy hers instead. Once the Imhotep had finished, Melona's grin widened a little as she saw what a messy eater her friend was. A quick glance around showed that neither of them had thought to grab any napkins or towels or anything. An idea, a wickedly naughty idea, came to mind. Getting up, she leaned forward to face Menace. "Allow me, Princess." She smiled and stuck her tongue out a little, before leaning in closer to clean Menace's face. Quite a sordid picture, although the people who would undoubtedly be watching from behind her would hbe torn between watching that and watching the show revealed by her risen skirt, from her bent over stance. Which one to watch? Truly a difficult problem! (11129 words + 143 words = 11272 words) Alice let out a meep of shock as the flat end of Airi's scythe gave her a mild swat to the rear. She had hopped forward in her shock, and now whirled around to glare at the scythe user. "What was that for!?" She could tell by the slight smile that either Airi didn't really mean anything by it, or that she was trying hard not to laugh at her reaction. One response was okay, the other would undoubtedly make her angrier. If she had her guns... She sighed, and turned back to continue on toward her destination. Vengeance, or at least an answer, could wait until they got to that ramen stand. So she concentrated on moving forward, while now also keeping track of if Airi was going to try to swat her again. If so, she would definitely be ready this time! (11464 words + 146 words = 11610 words) Even though she had been eating slower, it only took Haku a few more moments to finish her own plate. By then, Miku and Neru had already finished theirs and were already debating what to get for dessert. She had given it some more thought while she was finishing her main course, and had finally come to a decision. The waiter was already there, having taken Neru's order. Haku looked to Miku, to see if she was ready to place her order yet. It didn't appear so, she might need just a little more time. Haku knew what she wanted. It had been the first dessert she had thought of from the same region of her main course. The same dessert that Neru had actually just ordered. "Umm, I, too, would like the tiramisu, please..." She quickly glanced away from the waiter, and then met Neru's gaze, smiling slightly that they had ended up choosing the same thing. It would be kind of funny if Miku decided to get it, too, but the choice was ultimately up to her teal-haired friend, not the group consensus. After all, the dessert was one of the most important parts of the meal, you should choose what you wanted, not what you thought others wanted you to want. (6594 words + 218 words = 6812 words) V-13 heard Pan's voice emit from the speaker mounted on the slender tower behind her. The majority of her attention was focused forward, however. The scene was shifting as the correct obstacle course program was called up. Her expectations sank when she recognized the weapon turrets. This was going to be tough. This was one of her worst, but there was little she could do about that now. she finalized the decisions of a few still-operating subroutines, and then prepared to start on the exercise. She looked over the course, trying to plot a potential successful attempt. If she dodged that turret to the left, and then scaled that bunker, she would be in a position to be able to avoid the training dummy entirely. With the first tentative version of a plan in effect, she announced her start. "V-13, program initiating." She rushed forward, moving at a decent speed. The first obstacle in her path was a pair of robotic training dummies. these two were fairly limited models, locked in place and just cycling through several random permutations of attack patterns. Various kicks, punches and swings peppered the air as she got closer. She didn't attack them, just dove through the space between the two. Their blows had rained down upon her as hard as ever, but luckily failed to breach her armor. Now that she had gotten past them, however, they were harmless. This next obstacle wasn't, however. A squat tower rose up atop of a beveled mound a shirt distance away, with a long black barrel sprouting from it's side, and sliding back and forth as the turret spun, scanning for targets within range. She was only a few feet from that range. The moment she stepped forward, it would lock on and begin shooting. Not lethal rounds, but tracer rounds. Basically a heavier ammunition form of paint balls, designed to show where they hit, rather than do damage. Even so, they still hurt! Luckily, there was several bunker walls she could choose to hide behind on the approach to the turret. Not to hide her completely, but quick moments of refuge she could hopefully move from, racing quickly from one safe zone to the next. Could she do it? There was only one way to find out. She readied herself, and charged forward. The instant she did, the turret spun to face her, firing it's shots at high velocity. She managed to avoid them with the exception of a half-dozen glancing shots, vibrant fluorescent paint marking the simulated wounds she had just received. She dove behind one of the bunker walls and quickly scrambled to rest against it, trying to calculate how she would do the closer she got to the turret. It didn't look good. The closer she got, it's firing arc would encompass more and more of the area. This was likely the last chance she would have to really deliberate on her actions. Just then, an ominous clicking begun underfoot. A short distance away, on the opposite side of the bunker wall from the first turret, a second appeared. There would be a scant instant before it noted V-13's position, but once it did, it would have an absolutely clear line of fire on her. The bunker walls would no longer be useful to her. (4348 words + 565 words = 4913 words) Etheldreda let herself be pet, not really being bothered by the action but not really caring for it, either. Sure, physical contact was something she hadn't felt in hundreds of years, but that didn't mean she would immediately become touchy feely or anything. No, she could tolerate it, but it didn't affect her much. Instead, as introductions were made, she let her gaze drift over Lieselotte, taking her measure of the young girl. She could tell that she was a fighter, to some extent at least. Not in the manner that others were, with fists swinging and everything, but she was certainly no damsel in distress. A good companion to complement Sakazuki's skills, it would appear. When asked if she was indeed a book, she nodded. She couldn't sense any magical talent coming from Lieselotte, although she could sense a trace amount connected to her, and to her suitcase, in some odd manner. Even so, she had the feeling she wouldn't understand if she tried to explain how she was actually a book, a Grimoire. (2603 words + 181 words = 2784 words) Dizzy had been battling with the pastry, or more specifically, it's innards, trying to use her tongue to catch a dollop of fruit gel that had spilled out and stuck to her cheek. Almost distracted, she was still able to hear and process Shouko's question. "Umm, of course I, um, can. Anyone, um, can. The animals, um, can't talk back, though. Um. It's more that, um, they can tell from your tone of voice, um, what you are trying to say." And she was right. The animals didn't speak or really understand the spoken word, but if you approached them carefully and spoke gently, they just might decide to trust you. They would know if you were trying to fool them or not, though. And once you fooled them once, they would likely never trust you again. Most humans couldn't resist the temptation to do so, though, which is why wild animals were always so afraid of humans even if they didn't have to. (2540 words + 171 words = 2711 words)

animekittyninja-aka kiki It's funny how things had turned out. It'd come between two desserts, one of them just so happening to be tiramisu. Well then, if everyone else was getting some, why not get some too~! She smiled and looked up to the waiter cheerfully. "Tiramisu for me too, please~! Can I also have some chocolate mousse with that?" Honestly, she didn't care about what she ate. She never really had to worry about gaining an ounce, even when eating a lot of something that would make most feel like they gained a pound or two. Having something light and fluffy wouldn't hurt!

James looked at the menu.
"A bowl of ramen, with a side of sushi" he said to the waiter, "And a bowl of water for the dog, and a glass of water for me".
He then looked at the girl with the blue hair eating the desserts and smiled. He got out a book and read while he waited for his food. Kyo in the other hand jumped off the chair and ran toward the girl with the sweets. He barked and sat beside her wagging his tail.
"Not again..." he murmured looking at Kyo

 "Just shut up, Seth! We don't need to freakin' listen to you brag about your goddamn immortality s**t. I've heard it enough times in one life time, that I don't need to hear it again, jesus!" "Well Sorry! I didn't know there was some kind of penalty for talking about my self, just calm yourself.." "Calm myself?! Are you freakin' kidding me?! There is no way I'm going to ca—" With a loud bang, the sounds of wood splintering and cracking under the weight of some force shattering the side of one building. Merrik slowly rose from the wreckage, and continued saying what he was saying as if nothing had happened to him at all, his head twisted at an odd angle, although he raises a hand and twists it back into the correct placement with ease as he continues speaking. "—lm.. Are you KIDDING ME?!" "No..." Meanwhile, Seth stood a good ten or so feet away in the street, his hand still raised and clenched into a fist, it seemed as if he had knocked Merrik clear across the street and still had enough strength to shatter the side of the building that Merrik had crashed into. Lowering his hand, Seth slowly shakes his head before letting it rest casually at his side, listening to the new onslaught of speech that Merrik was dishing out. "NO?! YOU. CANT. BE. SERIOUS. You knock me into a freaking wall, and all you have to say for yourself is.. NO?! UGH!" "Seriously, Merrik, you need to just calm down. We're on the same side.. I'm just a little happy about myself, since I just managed to refill my vials. Now we're good for a few days or so before I need to refill them again.." Huffing and shifting his weight as his stitched up body enlarges and grows into a huger proportion, Merrik prepares to get a little revenge for being knocked into the building. BUt even before he could attack he was being lifted into the air by his throat. "Wha—" "Come on. We know I'm faster, especially if you do that. I know you can take it, but I shouldn't need to knock my own friend around all the time. Just calm down, and we will go get something to eat, or something, ok?" After a long pause, and Merrik's body slowly changing back into it's original form, Seth casually begins to shake his head. "You're sure a hassle some times, you know that?" "Oh, shut up. So are you, you arrogant vampire!" "I try.." Seth chuckles to himself, before he lowers Merrik to his feet and moves away, letting the armored gloved hand. After backing up, Seth shakes his head again, and then points off in a random direction. "Lets go find some 'real' food! Seth says, straining the word real, since he didn't actually find human food to be tasteful at all, but for some reason Merrik did, and so he suffered through that kind of punishment. Turning around both Seth and Merrik begin heading off along the street they were walking, intent upon finding some place to eat, or at least something to do that would be interesting enough for them.

“Think of it like this… You know… The story of the frog and the prince? How the amphibian was actually a man? Think of it like that, except the girl is actually a book. Makes sense, right?” While the stories behind both of the transformed entities were completely different, Sakazuki didn’t seem to mind. In fact, she looked rather proud of her explanation as she folded her arms across of her chest, giving a series of nods. Yes, she was quite confident that her little comparison would get her point across to the curious marionette wielder.
===

“It’s alright, Mei… You don’t have to go there at this very moment…” Shuku said quietly as she rolled her eyes. Though the thought evidently occurred to her that she also had a meeting at the exact same place that she had been putting off… Then again, at this point, her interest in the Academy was wavering. After all, the people here apparently held a reliable level of skill, certainly one of them could teach her with more skill than some condescending instructor in the academy, right?
===

A glare was sent in her direction and Airi was highly tempted to administer another thump. Still, she resisted, the thought occurring to her that the glare might’ve been a little serious. However, she didn’t wish to push the matter. In the distance, she spied the humble construct that was her ramen stand and her pace quickened. After all, Alice might’ve been quite eager to look for her lost baggage! Arriving at the stand, she didn’t bother stopping to look, instead leaving that job to Airi as she opened up, not for business, but to get everything in order for the cooking lesson.
===

Menace blinked curiously as Melona rose up. Was she going to go get her some napkins? As Melona loomed in closer however, that didn’t seem to be the case as the Imohtep’s eyes widened in horror… or surprise, most likely both. She soon felt something moist against her face and instantly registered it to be her new friend’s tongue. Her lips parted, uttering whispering her friend’s name in protest as one eye closed slightly. “S- Stop…” She said quietly, but couldn’t bring herself to physically prevent Melona’s actions. “…People are watching.”
===

Sure enough, Echidna was surprised when Honehime suddenly seemed to be coming upwards, despite the Orochi’s form hold upon her. Her grip wavered and soon Honehime was released, the swordswoman retreating backwards on her hands and knees as she stared at Honehime, her chest seemingly still in motion when she stopped. All the while however, it was evident that she was trying to decipher what had given the girl the leverage to ascend… And then she saw it, just barely visible from her angle, was the unmistakable white rod; a bone. Interesting…
===

Neru very much wanted to say, ‘ I ordered the Tiramisu first! So why can’t you both be original and choose your own frigging desserts!’ but she mentally shook her head. If it was just Miku, she wouldn’t have minded, but Haku too? The poor woman didn’t deserve that, thus, she kept her mouth shut as the waiter departed to retrieve their desserts. However, it was at that moment that the blonde paused. Was that that… Barking, she heard? She tilted her head so that she could gaze down their aisle and investigate.
===

Pan had been watching, her eyes glowing as she used the training system, her retinal systems establishing contact with the dozen cameras that had been situated on the course, allowing her to view the action from any angle she desired. She was the ‘Ghost’ in this sense, watching, but unseen and unable to do anything to assist or hinder V-13. She was doing quite well, she mentally declared… Or at least that was what she thought until the android took a volley of the paint filled rounds. A mechanical hiss escaped her lips. Anyone else could’ve made that charge with half of the hits, if even that many. She understood now what the higher ups had meant now when they said that the girl required work.
===

Shouko blinked as she heard this, and then wished to test the theory. Nodding, she took a flaky pastry; an apple turnover, to be precise then turned away from the aisle, a smile on her face as she adjusted her glasses with one hand then marched forward, soon kneeling down as she offered the pastry to the nearest animal that caught her attention; consequently, it was a small deer.

The waiter placed the ramen, the side of sushi and the glass of water on the table, then he placed a bowl of water on the floor, and gave James the chopsticks. He picked up the chopsticks and he ate quickly remembering that he needed to practice some moves and train very hard. Kyo ran toward the water bowl and drank it all up, then he sat beside his seat . James finished eating, drank the whole glass of water and left the payment for everything he ordered.
"Time for training..." he said looking at Kyo. The small wolf pup jumped up the chair and on him. He grabbed him and placed him in his jacket.
James ran toward the balcony threw some Kunais at the tree and he jumped toward it. He grabbed at both Kunais and he pulled himself up. He grabbed one of them and he pulled it out of the tree.
"I need someone to sparr with!" he shouted.
