Paul bit his lip. That... really didn't help. Was the mech the thing carrying the magic suppression? Was there even magic suppression? The earth drill had worked. He kept Athena planted against his shoulder; he had only the magazine in his gun and one that wasn't even all the way full. He thought. He didn't feel like checking. "Any ideas, Marco?"

The man flicked a couple of levers and grabbed two rods within the central "carriage" of the mech. It lurched to its feet with a burst of steam from its left side. The mana disruption around it abruptly grew to cover most of the room.

Oh, so the mana disruption wasn't something partial surrounding specifically the machine. The machine was the disruptor. Well, time to get close and start tearing stuff apart. He checked no one was watching, and once certain he could move up, he proceeded to do so, very slowly and quietly and cautiously.

The man flicked a few switches. The machine's limbs tested out their movement and a shell was loaded into a cannon-like attachment under the left "arm". Each time something moved, the field expanded by a minuscule amount.

Oh, it was absorbing mana. Getting close might either disable or perhaps even drain his efforts. He needed to do something about that... what could be done? He needed to pull a plug, knock out a gear, put a rock in something - what couldn't you do to a goshdarn clockwork machine? Clockwork was vulnerable just by its name. Time to screw it up. He began searching for something to thoroughly, thoroughly jam up the machine with and began getting closer as possible at the same time. What could he do...?

((Actually, for specifics of the field, it basically "turns off" any mana in its local area by reinforcing the physical properties of Reality in its local area. It's not powered by mana at all. However, that tactic is still valid.))
Paul spotted a rusty toolbox sitting on a nearby metal box of some sort, as well as a couple of tools on the ground near it.

((Ah, okay. We'll leave Paul with his mistaken concept of it until Robert corrects him some time later. Oh, but he'd probably work out it's the same machine they - er, Darius was talking about earlier. Okay.))
Paul hefted the toolbox - quietly - along with pocketing the tools, then started approaching again. The more fodder for jamming, the longer Darius would have to make this place a party house. And Darius would apparently appreciate that. Paul wondered just how much control he actually had over the spirit, even in theory.
Once he got very close to the mech, he decided that external jamming would be too easy to find and fix. He'd need to pry something open and get behind a panel to start ripping wires and pulling pipes.

A large panel making up most of the wall began to slide upward, showing what appeared to be a much larger room.
With a lot of feet.
A lot.
Fortunately, it was going very slowly.

Paul checked the room cautiously for other persons, and if he were confident it was clear, he moved up, taking a large wrench and finding a plate to quietly lever clear. Once that was done... well, he'd see what he could hurt. More damage would be better, hopefully done in a method that would allow him to get to a safe distance before they noticed anything.

Repeat: Paul could see a lot of feet in the room the panel is opening.

((Awww. Damn, I was hoping we could have an Abbadonian on our team.))
Joe shrugged mentally to Roland. Same deal, yeah? He gave Jacob a look. "Can I...do it?" A tad bit more blood dripped out of his nose. "Jacob...I am having a...hard enough time...staying conscious here...without having to...shift the whole plane...into another plane!" His eyes squeezed shut for a second. "You'll...have to be...the one to do it."
Marco quietly grabbed Paul by the collar and hauled him back into the forest of pipes and stuff before the feet-people could see him.
((OH MY GOD, THERE'S GIANT FIGHTING ROBOTS. *DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOLS* whee ))

"Figure...it...out," Joe said. Now, his focus was all on staying awake as the plane came closer to the ground. At least it was stabilized. "Hurry..."

<********> Jacob thought, How do I do this? Ohanzee suggested. Fine. Jacob stopped expending his mana on mimicking the engine's function, they were, after all, leveled. He redirected all of his focus and mana to switching over to Crossover. He hoped to God it worked.

Joe managed to force one of his arms down to his pocket, where his numb fingers wrapped around his mana cell. It was already three-quarters empty from what he had just accomplished, but with just his willpower he straightened his arm and dropped it in Jacob's lap. He now had at least some of Joe's mana for support.
