Core noticed the tone in the animal`s voice . Disagreeing , she guessed . She wondered what kind of power trouble Kara was experiencing . She presumed it must`ve been when Madeline was in her room . Lady Dye does tend to provoke people .

((Oh crap i knew i forgot something. And you don't have to yell. Jez.)) Lissa walked slowly. She still didn't want to leave the vamp alone but thought it wise. "Ok Krissor take me to Cassandra." She told her friend.

A very tall and buff black man walked out of a shady looking alleyway. He was dressed in black. He was wearing a black leather coat that reached to the sole of his black combat boots. The coat was unbuttoned and revealed the man's very muscular chest, under his coat only a black pair of cargo trousers could be seen. He had just walked out of a very cheap motel deep inside the alleyway. It was mainly used by whores to sell their cheap bodies.
For the first time since he had arrived at the city, the man's hood was off. It revealed a full head of hair. His hair was done in dreadlocks, thin and long, and where tied with a crimson ribbon behind his back.
He had no aim tonight, he figured he was tired of being cooked up in that room for two days. So he turned the corner and walked aimlessly thought the streets, blending in with the seamless mortals that walked his path.

After a few moments of rest Alanis decided that she would resume her walk with her dog and go about business as usual unless something out of the ordinary presented itself to her. Of course the woman and Doberman were pretty well off in the under the radar department. After all, how harmful could a foreign exchange student walking her dog before she headed back to her dorm be? Of course this wasn't actually the case but she could definitely pass off as a college student of some sort and seeing as her original intent for coming to New York had been just that it was plausible.
Trace and Alanis had been walking for a fair distance when Trace's nose perked up and he tilted his head in a rather odd manner. Alanis was not used to this signal by any means and she looked at the Doberman for referrence once again in slight confusion herself. She wasn't really sure what to make of this signal since she hadn't taught Trace to tilt his head for anything he sniffed out in particular. Perhaps he was confused? Trace definitely never tilted his head when playful so she could only assume the dog was perplexed about something.
"What is it, boy?" The Aussie accent mixed with Irish sliced through the quiet evening air.
The new hunter then turned her head and noticed an EXTREMELY tall black man who also happened to be really buff. He had a really nice bod and naturally she checked the strange man out a little. He also seemed to have his head in a dread lock pony tail. Dreads weren't really her thing since they seemed kind of dirty but they managed to suit the guy. Soon enough, though, she realized that it was this strange man that'd caused Trace to tilt his head.
Instantly Alanis became more cautious and decided that it was probably best if she keep her distance while keeping a safe eye on this potentially dangerous fellow. If he decided to get in a fist fight with her it was pretty clear who would emerge the victor and who would get pummeled to heaven or beyond. She would have to avoid that and assure that she wasn't beaten to death by his massive form. There were ways around confrontation, a few.
As they tailed the rather tall man, Trace's nose remained perked as he continued to debate on what it was they were tailing. However, either way she was going to keep an eye on this guy, whether he was a human or whether he was nothing of the sort. He seemed kind of suspicious coming out of a dark alleyway by himself and all. She wasn't being racist and assuming he was evil because he was black or because he was tall and kind of unconventional in appearance.

The large man continued to walk amongst the mortals, standing at least a foot from the average person. He was still walking aimlessly, his nose and ears perked up for anyone undesirable. As he walked, he would keep a short term register of the people that where around him, since everyone had their different scents. On his endless journey, he saw a dog that had taken an interest in him. That was nothing unusual, since dogs where always terrified of him once he was in his bestial form, and would always be confused when he was in his human form. The seal on his back would make it impossible for anyone or anything to determine his race, that included dogs. So they would be confused because they could not place him under any known species.
The man kept walking for a block, and the scent of that dog would remain constant. He was being followed. Since he was not one to hastily bash into a fight, he decided to meet the person.
He kept walking until he saw a small cafe that was open late. Sol smirked and pulled open the glass door. The place inside was very small, it was obvious that it was for people to buy coffee and keep walking. It was a good idea, they must have figured that since the city never sleeps they would all need coffee eventually. So the man bought two cappuccinos and a couple of minutes later walked out of the door. Now carrying two hot mugs of coffee he walked to the end of the block, where there was a small open area that had a couple of seats. Sol had spotted it a couple of nights ago while looking for the motel he was staying in.
Once he reached the small clearing, he looked for the closest seat and took it. He knew that the woman would still be following him, so he kept his peripheral vision on the look out for her. As soon as the woman appeared he smiled and extended his hand to her, holding out one of the mugs.
"You must be cold, following me like that." He said greeting to the woman, his voice had a dark deep tone to it.

The new Aussie hunter decided that when the man entered the cafe in order to get himself a cup of coffee or whatever it was he was getting that she would keep her distance. She certainly wasn't going to enter the place and with a dog the owners probably wouldn't appreciate her attempting to enter anyhow. Instead she decided to hover out of sight across the street from a hidden vantage point. And when the man came out of the cafe and began walking again she got Trace ready to continue his walk. The Doberman was quite pleased to continue his walk and made absolutely no complaints. That was the nice thing about dogs.
This strange man's seal, however, definitely worked since Trace continued to sniff the air as if the man's scent was magically going to change and somehow become more familiar. However, each time the dog took in the scent with the same result: that scent couldn't be categorized as his master had trained him to do so. It didn't fit into any of the categories he'd been trained to find and this slightly discouraged the canine. He became slightly tense as he walked, his tail no longer wagging.
Alanis noticed Trace's tense stance and smiled since she knew it was because he was trying to make sense of the funny scent the man gave off to him. Perhaps the man had been smoking weed or something and the scent was very potent so Trace wasn't able to get a proper read. However, she was pretty certain that he'd be able to smell a vampire's scent through a substance anyhow.
"It's okay boy."
She continued to wait until the man emerged from the cafe and then she began tailing him again. Alanis walked behind him with Trace until he sat down and actually addressed her while holding out a cup of coffee to her. It was a surprising and unexpected gesture but she didn't meet it with suspicion. She actually blushed, her cheeks turning an evident red at being caught tailing someone that wasn't supposed to know she was there. Meanwhile the Doberman merely continued to sniff around, particularly the man's strange scent.
"Uh, yeah ... This place is pretty cold compared to where I lived. Sorry about that. I was lost and you seemed to know where you were going so I kind of decided to follow you."
Her statement was a lie but there was absolutely no lie detectable. The woman's eyes looked into the tall man's with complete and utter conviction and she even had the nerve to accept the coffee while lying to his face. She offered a sweet but somewhat shy smile and sniffed the coffee before drinking it. It wasn't that she didn't trust this stranger more that it was a habit of hers to assure that she was drinking what she wanted to be drinking since the milk carton back home had been replaced with orange juice as a prank quite a few times.
"Thank you, though, for the coffee."

Veroen had been sitting silently, enjoying a few cups of coffee near the area of the coffee shop from whence he had bought it from. He had been sitting silently, pondering about that crazed Sanguanian Vampire that had attacked Marcus. He also thought deeply upon what his next course of action would be. He already had an inside man to keep an eye on Kensington for him, and that meant he could find out more about this, 'Poseidon' file, that the Coven was fretting so much over. If it could be used to destroy the Coven's reputation, then it would mean that Veroen could enlist allies from different races to help wipe out the deceitful Coven.
Veroens thoughts were interrupted when a large black man took a seat in the same area as Veroen, holding two cups of coffee. The man looked rather smug, for reasons unknown to Veroen.
Then, another came, a female. The black man extended out the other cup, and spoke to her, accusing her of following him. Veroen's eyebrow rose, as curiosity manifested itself inside his dark Void infested mind.
Then he remembered. He had seen this man enter through a window above him just after he dropped off his supplies at Volson's secret hideout.
Veroen was silent, and appeared as though he was not paying attention to the two. However, he was paying more than just attention...

The man saw the faint blush of the girl. He smiled slightly and handed her the coffee. As the woman got close, she would undoubtedly feel an uncouth bestial, vibrant vitality about him, like the atmosphere was heavier around him. The man turned towards the woman, his turquoise eyes staring into the woman's eyes. His eyes would feel like if they had the power to penetrate into the soul.
He kept his soft smile and slid a bit on the seat. He opened enough space so that the woman could sit down if she wanted to. As he did, he brought the mug to his lips and took a sip of the hot liquid. He took a moment after drinking it and smiled. "Not bad". He said softly.
Sol's eyes then moved down to the woman's companion. He noticed that it was a male, he had a feeling that it would be but he was not sure. "So what is his name?" The man asked the woman as he leaned down a bit to be closer to the dog. He knew the dog would still be confused, so he did not approach it with his hand.

When the man smiled it definitely helped to ease the awkwardness a smidge and when he handed her the coffee things seemed to be a little better. It was true, though, that when she neared the strange man that he did seem rather out of the ordinary, not just in appearance but in his spirit. He seemed really calm and relaxed but at the same time his deep voice gave her chills that made her wonder if he was perhaps an incubus or something that was supposed to attract unsuspecting humans to him. Well, he actually wasn't that bad looking so she wouldn't be horribly surprised.
Being invited to sit beside the man seemed like a good sign more than anything unless he was wanting her close so that he could crush the living daylights out of her without too much of a problem. However, as she made her way to sit down she noticed the other man that occupied the seat next to them and looked him over for a moment. He was strange in appearance too and when she looked to her Doberman for referrence and he sniffed the air and suddenly sneezed. To anyone it would appear a normal reaction for a dog but it actually hinted to Alanis that the man sitting beside her was a vampire.
"Yeah. This stuff is actually pretty good. Is this a local cafe or is it a branch?"
When the man began looking at Trace and examining him she simply instructed the Doberman to sit so that the man could more easily inspect the canine. He was groomed to absolute perfection and if she decided to enter this dog in a dog contest he'd be sure to nab third place at least. His appearance and stance was absolutely flawless and his gait was as well. It was clear that the dog had been expertly trained.
"His name is Trace. He's a pure bred Doberman Pinscher. I got him from a breeder two years ago. They almost pawned him off to some man that was willing to pay really big bucks for this pooch but I must have won them over with the red hair or something."

Sol chuckled softly as he heard the comment about her fiery hair. Maybe it was true, but that dog was too well trained for just two years with the owner. Unless she had devoted herself to it, but she looked like a young girl, maybe even attending university. But what was Sol doing, he actually did not care about any of that. He knew she was not a vampire or lycan or demon. She could be a hunter, but that did not bother him as long as she did not start to hunt him. She was quite beautiful though, he would not mind taking her to a dark corner and showing her that it was not only his high and muscles that where very large.
He smiled softly and tried to sneak a glance up at the woman, while pretending to examine the dog. It was only a quick peek, gone in an instant. "Hello Trace." The man quickly said, greeting the dog with his deep voice. "I'm Sol. You look like you have a good owner there." He added and then sat up again, his eyes trying to stay with the dog, resisting the temptation to look back. She looked delicious, but not to eat.
He knew that there was a vampire around. There are vampires all around the city, but he did not care about them. He was not scared of any of them, he just kept them in his temporary memory of his surroundings.

Veroen was not directly looking at the pair, however, he was watching them with other senses. Peripherals were of good use here. This man, as dangerous as he looked, was speaking with a girl, and her dog calmly, and without draining her, or eating her. This made Veroen slightly suspicious as to what the man was thinking. It was obvious that the man and the girl had just met there, in front of Veroen.
Veroen carefully watched the man's movements without directly looking at him. He hated watching the innocent murdered needlessly. The Void stirred within him, as Veroen was still baffled by the absence of a scent on the man.

Sol's observation about the dog being trained for more than two years was quite correct. Trace was actually five years in age and he'd been trained for a gruelling four years of his life. She was extremely devoted but to train a dog to be on the canine unit took a few years of training before they were permitted on the squad. It had been fun, though and it'd been an occupation she'd very much enjoyed.
She'd considered commenting on the freckles but drawing attention to those seemed unnecessary and kind of tacky. Yet freckles would make more sense and relate more to innocence than red hair would they not? She honestly didn't know but the man didn't seem to find the comment all that strange. She supposed it worked for him so that was all that really mattered. At least she could only assume that laughter was a good sign and that it meant he was amused by the comment. For whatever reason he struck her as one of those people who wouldn't laugh if they didn't have a reason to.
While Alanis had gotten a pretty good view of his backside and of his rear, she hadn't gotten a decent look at his face at all and his turquoise eyes were quite startling. At the same time, though, they were absolutely beautiful and when she looked into them she couldn't help but stare for a moment as if to confirm she wasn't day dreaming or something. The eye colour seemed highly unnatural and yet it suited him perfectly for some reason.
"Your eyes are very bright and are an absolutely gorgeous colour. Are you wearing contacts or is this your natural eye colour?"
Alanis, being somewhat oblivious and also the slightest bit naieve, did not take notice of the man trying to catch a glance at her. She actually thought he possessed a bit of interest in her dog though apparently that was not the case. The peek, however, hadn't been noticed at all and she simply petted her dog with a sweet smile as the strange man decided to say hello to her dog and introduce himself to Trace. It seemed kind of pathetic that he'd gotten to know her dog's name before her own.
"I guess since you know my dog's name you might as well know mine too? I'm Alanis."

Veroen's train of thought was interrupted by a vibration in his trench coat pocket. He casually reached in his trench coat pocket and pulled out a cell phone. As he read the text, his eyes narrowed.
"Damnit Marcus..." he muttered under his breath as he stood up, and reluctantly walked away from the pair. Of course, he'd be back after he took care of some things.
