It's actually about the setting. I just don't want to give away info on the schism to people who haven't gotten to that point or played the game yet. sweatdrop
Anyway, my theory is that Rieze Maxia and Elympios is the far, far future for Aselia. The game has a ton of references to Symphonia. The seasonal calenders named after Ignis and Solum for instance.
What if Aselians began to lose the ability to use artes or mana and developed spyrix to be able to still do so? Of course, there were still those that could cast artes naturally, and those are the ones Maxwell sealed away in Rieze Maxia. A theory about Celsius and Volt is that spyrix killed them and made their spirit fossils, which is why the Elympions can make them into spyrites. As for Luna and Shadow, I would assume their still alive since their elements are still part of the weak and strong points of monsters. There's even a weapon or an armor piece that says its infused with the power of Luna, I believe.

That's interesting. I'm not really buying it myself (I'm usually skeptical of these things), but there are some similarities.
Anyway, may you have a happy Halloween/Samhain/Day 'O Stuffs as well. Or, rather, I hope you have had a good one, given the time.

I guess tha's what I get for using a Devil Arm to increase the spell's power -looks at arm- ...I appear to be rainbow coloured again though there's alot more pink and green this time

It reset the progress? Huh, I didn't really run into any bugs. How unfortunate for you.
Now that was a difficult boss fight. I'm disappointed that the whole dungeon was recycled stuff, but hey. It only gets harder if you repeat it, apparently, but I just said NOPE and flapped my way out of there to the final boss (after derping around the coliseum for some reason).
...I like the battle music of Xillia, but I think I'll be putting that Kratos costume on Alvin a lot when I replay that. emotion_kirakiraRead: for the entire game.
EDIT: Hot dang, I never realized how good the first music track in that post was as well.
I guess I was just disappointed that there wasn't a One-Winged Angel moment. Why am I so disappointed by human final bosses that stay fully humanoid the whole time?
