God, why do drum set components have to be so bloody expensive?
I cannot find a double bass drum pedal for less than $70. Ride cymbals go for that much as well when they're cheap. If I had those two components, I'd be happy with my current drum set, as loud and bongo drum as it sounds.
All my parents could afford was a simple $200 basic drum set when I first started drumming. It consisted of a snare, two toms, a floor tom, a really un-metal sounding bass drum, and a hi-hat. We had to buy a really Chinese sounding crash cymbal later on.
