Earendil laughed. "I was wondering if maybe there was some reason why you couldn't fly," he chortled, "but you just didn't think of it?"
He squeezed her to him, still laughing. "Ah, Lin, you truly are epic."

Her cheeks tinged pink in embarrassment, she really did forget from time to time she was meant to travel by air.
"I forgot..." she protested softly.

Earendil chuckled again and squeezed her to his side. "Well," he grinned, "since you weren't born with your wings, I guess that's sort of understandable. Though you've had them ... has to be at least eight years now. Our first trip was six, and this one has been two already, and you had them a bit before then ..."
Still, he was aware that she didn't fly often. He was still amused, though. He didn't use his magic often, but he didn't forget about it.

"Yea, but I rarely fly at all," Lin pointed out, "I think the last time I flew was... maybe when we first came here to Amon Darthir."
She certainly couldn't recall any time after that.

Earendil let out a low whistle. "That was a long time ago," he murmured. He gazed down at her and brushed a stray hair away from her face. "Sometimes I wish I had wings like you, so that we could fly together," he said softly. "Perhaps it's foolish of me ... but I can't help it sometimes."

She smiled, her faced tilted upwards a bit as to feel his finger tips a bit more, "But I'm more than happy to just be walking along side you."
It was that moment that Miyuki came back, bouncing through the crowd as if she had not spent most of the day on her feet.

Earendil smiled softly and leaned down with the intention of kissing Lin - but just then Miyuki returned, and he lowered his hand instead and smiled at their daughter.
"Hello, Miyuki," he said warmly, keeping his disappointment out of his voice. "Are you all done dancing, too?"

Miyuki nodded her head up and down as she went over and sat beside her parents.
"It was lots of fun!" she looked at her parents, "Did you dance?"

"We did," Earendil smiled, shifting to give Miyuki a bit more space. "We just stopped when the music did. Did you find someone to dance with, too? Or were you all by yourself?"
He was sure if Miyuki's friends had been anywhere around, they would have danced with her; but he didn't know if they were around, or if they were elsewhere. For that matter, he had no idea where Amalirahc was.

"I found people to dance with!" Miyuki replied happily, "Lots of people."
Since there was no one way of dancing and it was with other children she had done so in a group, which was just fine for her.

"Good," Earendil smiled warmly. "I'm glad of that. But now it's getting towards lunch time, perhaps we should find somewhere to eat ..."
He looked at Lin. "What do you think, are you getting hungry yet?"

"Now that you mention it... I am actually."
With all the excitement that was going on LIn hadn't relaized she was getting hungry. It made sense though they had a light breakfast earlier.
"Let's go! I bet they have a lot of yummy things!"
Miyuki was excited, but this time with very good reason. She had a good sense of a smell and could smell the yummy food that was coming from the other stalls.

Earendil laughed aloud at that comment. Miyuki was very fond of good things that were edible. Candy, food, drinks ... she was so sweet and innocent.
"Off we go, then!" he grinned. "Now comes the question - what kind of food do we want?"

"Something sweet!" Miyuki exclaimed.
Lin chuckled at that and put her hand upon Miyuki's head, "For desert yes, but not for the meal. That being said, I'm not sure, what will be there?"

"I'm not sure," Earendil admitted. "Though I think I saw the baker, so there will be fresh bread and buns and the like ... and I'm sure there will be fish, possibly some sort of fowl ... and no place would sell a meal without something good to drink."
He stood up and turned his back to Miyuki. "Hop on," he grinned. "I'll give you a ride."
