Seeing that her plan had worked Robin gave a little cry of victory as she walked over to the fallen pokemon. A small frown was on her face as she stared down at it. Ace and Black*Star had perched themselves on the pokemon in order to keep it pinned down in case it tried to escape. Now what did they do with it? Robin was a bit surprised it had fallen this easy. This must be a pretty weak Hypno, then again it had scared off everyone in this forest for a long time it seemed. Maybe it was really smart but not very strong? Well she didn’t quite get it, she just knew she couldn’t let it stay here and continue to torment people. Scratching her head she placed her hands on her hips and wondered what she should do.

Should she take it to the police? Could the police even arrest pokemon? Would they even believe her if she told them this story? Maybe they all forgot to? Oh geeze this was really a problem! “What should I do guys? We can’t just let it stay here and continue to trick people! I don’t know if the police deal with this kind of thing though…” She muttered looking at each of her pokemon not sure what to do really. The three of them sat there not sure what to do each of them thinking on the little problem they now had.

It was Ace who eventually came up with the solution to their problem. They would catch the Hypo in one of Robin’s many pokeballs and send it to Professor Rowan to research it. After all Robin had never heard of a Hypno as psychically strong as this one, or if the professor did not want to deal with it then he could always give it to the police. They would believe him since he was a well-respected professor! Plus he was really scary when he was mad and she was betting even the police wouldn’t want to deal with him being angry! The trio felt pretty pleased with themselves as they watched Robin toss pokeballs at it until it was caught. It took three pokeballs before it clicked closed and the Hypno was now in an easy to carry form. Of course they all seemed to forget about it the moment the pokeball captured it inside of it. It took looking at Robin’s arm again to have the pokeball lying on the ground before them to make sense again. Not wanting to forget again Robin picked the ball up and wrote a small note on the surface of the pokeball to remind her.

With the Hypno out of the way the forest seemed a lot more cheerful at night. It was still a bit creepy but they didn’t have to worry about forgetting something anymore. It also turned out to be a good thing they had chased the psychic pokemon around since with a bit more bumbling around they managed to find themselves out of the forest and on the side that lead to Eterna City.

Karrigan gave her usual small smile upon hearing Amy's news that her capture had also been successful, and somewhat subconsciously the newly formed duo had started to head back towards Saffron City, though once the city gates were within sight, Karrigan felt her heart start to sink a little. She hadn't wanted to return to the bustling city so soon, but four out of the five Pokemon on her roster were either unconscious or severely burned thanks to that little Vulpix. Karrigan sighed, deciding to focus her thoughts on settling on a name for her newest team member.

"Now that you mention it," the redhead mused, hearing the nervous tone in Amy's voice, "from what I remember, Tyrogue are somewhat rare, so you might be right. Perhaps he escaped or something..." Karrigan frowned again as that same realization that had hit Amy had now taken its turn to hit her. What if she had to return the Tyrogue to the members of the Dojo? It wasn't something she really wanted to think about, but soon it was the only thing on her mind as they entered Saffron City, two sets of eyes scanning the buildings for that one with the welcoming, bright red roof.

The girl's coldness startled Jake, but it didn't deter him from following her into the Pokemon Center. He found it a little odd that her demeanor was in such contrast to perky and cheerful Robin's, but when she apologized he smiled. "It's all right," he said, unclipping both Grotle and Bibarel's Pokeballs from his belt. "I'd be pretty annoyed too if some jerk like that was hassling me when I needed to get to the Pokemon Center. And don't worry about Bibarel; after our stint at the Oreburgh Gym, Rock-types are no match for us."

He set the two spheres in a tray while he waited for his turn to have his Pokemon healed, leaning back against the counter as Jade introduced herself, and he snickered inwardly. That's a very good question, he thought, though he wouldn't say it out loud. After all, he didn't think it left a very good impression if he introduced himself by saying 'who am I? Your guess as good as mine.' The blonde scratched his head and grinned. "The name's Jake," he said, awkwardly holding out a hand for her to shake. "Nice to meet you, though too bad it wasn't under better circumstances."

Riza's sudden reaction, her tone, her words, her glare, it all struck Crenu at once, and it was very surprising. At first he was a little angry, how dare she call him stupid? She should know very well he was very intelligent! And he was saner than he had ever been! The devil showed her true colors it would seem. But then her other words started to sink in, bouncing around in his skull ringing loudly over and over. She was lying wasn't she? Not even a blip? But how could that be if they were conspiring...that's why they left for that night, to make plans wasn't it? H-he had to be in the audience... speaking of, the crowd was deafeningly loud, their cheers echoing everywhere, although they kinda sounded more like booing, understandable considering the lack of excitement this semi finals match was bringing. It was very one sided, and while one would hold their breath every time Poliwhirl attacked to see if it turned the tide, Akima always slipped away and ran. But Crenu didn't notice any of this, he was to busy in his mind.

Meanwhile, Poliwhirl was in the middle of a fierce Brick Break, this time he'd smash that damn Sneasel for good! But just as before she was trying to be slippery, though for a change she didn't run away! She was sliding under him! This was great, Poliwhirl wanted nothing more than to smash her underneath him but as he tried to move, his reaction time was off. That damned Icy Wind, his joined iced up his body slowed, there was just enough of a drop in his body speed for her to get away and attack him instead. He could do nothing as he watched Akima swing her quick fist at him, her clawed fist smashing directly into his, Poliwhirl cursing the agile pokemon as he felt a sharp pain shooting through his hand, feeling the bones in his hard fist starting to snap and break from her strong attack, his hand already softened up and injured from his constant stage pounding. Poliwhirl spun around falling to his knees as he tightly held his fist with his other hand, crying out loudly from the enormousness amount of pain he felt. As he clutched onto his broken hand he winced constantly, but his eyes glared at Akima evily, hating her more than ever now, shaking but no longer crying out, looking back at Crenu for a command.

Crenu didn't give a command however, he didn't do anything. He didn't even know Poliwhirl was hurt or the the match was even going on. His head was buzzing to much with all sorts of thoughts. She was caring about him the past couple of days? Was she? He remembered them holding hands after coming out of the pokemon center, and the quick kiss he gave her after meeting her brother, the feeling he had inside him..it was...sweet? But..but no that was a part of her plan. Though she did help him clean his wounds all the time, and helped him wrap up his hands, she didn't even question it. But maybe that was because she didn't really care. Yeah, that's right she didn't care! Cause it was all part of her ploy, her helping him was all a way to butter him up and put him under her spell! Like that time they were fishing, and he caught that stupid Magikarp and she...snapped a picture of him with her phone to use as her background... That was a fun day. B-but she planned that too right? Everything from when they met! Way back when they met and...and they were attacked by Team Rocket! But she couldn't have known about that attack, or that that she would be attacked right? And she was just sitting there in shock not attacking or anything, t-that was planned to right? She didn't look like she was acting though, that Ekans was really gonna bite her..and he took the strike. Why did he do that anyway? Cause of a short conversation they had before? Cause she was the cutest girl he'd ever seen? No no no no no, it was all a part of the plan! But, maybe it wasn't. Maybe there was no plan, maybe he was just paranoid. No, he was sharper than he'd ever been! But... And it went on like that over and over in his head. Crenu was gone right now, his suit sparkled, but his eyes were dead.

Poliwhirl heard nothing from Crenu, his trainer had given up on him? Was he disappointed, did he abandon him on the battle field? Was he going to be banished, put into a box to rot? Or was it something else? Whatever it was it didn't matter, if his trainer wasn't going to give him a command he'd fight on his own, not like Crenu was doing a lot of guiding anyway. Poliwhirl's hand still hurt more than anything, the damn thing was all shattered probably. Stupid Sneasel! He charged at her once more, pointing his good hand at Akima shooting a Bubble Beam at her, but the moment he let go of his broken hand it started to pulse with pain and his aim was very off as he fell back to his knees and clutched his hand. Dammit!

Mike giggled at the sight of Keegan standing over a bloodied grunt, spinning a knife between his fingers. The sight of the weapon caused his shoulder to tingle for some reason, but Mike shrugged it off. It clearly wasn't anything important if he couldn't remember it. Flannery looked alright. Rattled, to be sure, but alright. Mike's gaze hung on her for a few moments, admiring her beauty only accented by the stray dirt, grime and sweat from the day's activities. It brought him back to clean-up duty at the Gym back home. She was always so eager to tidy up the arena after a fight. Her constant high spirits, never marred by the daily grind, was one of her most charming qualities. Nitro's commanding roar snapped the boy back into reality.

The rush of adrenaline far from over, Mike turned to the few remaining grunts who stood in defiance of him and his Charizard. There were only three left, and each had released a Pokemon: a Numel, a Mighteyna and a...Wartortle? "On my way, buddy!" Mike shouted, kicking off into a run with a Pokeball in hand. "I will not have the one Magma grunt who chooses to think outside the box and defy convention harm my precious companion!" He flicked his wrist and threw the device, releasing Proton out in the field. "Proton! Introduce this turtle to the horrors of electrostatic discharge! Nitro! Let's show them some real heat!" The Magnezone's magnets began to spin rapidly as be built up an electrical charge. With a bright flash and subsequent clap of thunder, Proton fired a bolt of lightning towards the Wartortle. Both it and its trainer had only a second to widen their eyes before the Pokemon was sent crashing violently into the cavern wall behind them. Mike's face displayed a cocky smirk as the grunt recalled his Pokemon and fled.

"And now for the rest of you." Mike said with a low, foreboding hum in his voice. Nitro took in a deep breath and spewed a stream a fire so bright that even Mike had to avert his eyes for a moment. His lack of sight only made the cries of anguish and pain mingling with the intense heat that much sweeter. Mike let out a chuckle as the flames died down and he saw the smoking remains of his two opponents. He imagined that with their newly acquired burns, even their uncontrollable twitching must cause them immense pain. Incoherent, the two remaining grunts did as their friend had done, and turned tail once their Pokemon were safely in their Pokeballs.

"Good work you two." Mike said, recalling his Pokemon. He looked around and wondered if anyone else would dare challenge him. "I sure hope so. I even did my hair and everything." He ran his hand through his hair, or at least he tried to. The filth and blood that clumped his hair stopped his fingers almost instantly. "Hm-hm-hm."

Riza had been fully expecting another paranoia-laden response from Crenu after she'd finished yelling at him, but strangely enough, there was nothing. His eyes had long since lost what little of a shine they'd had, and he simply stared ahead, not really at her, but not really away from her, either, and Riza couldn't help but feel a bit unnerved by it. She had no idea what had sparked his descent into this paranoid state he was now in, nor did she have any idea of how to snap him back out of it. She was certain that if a stiff breeze were to drift across the stage, it would knock him over and he would clatter to the ground like a mannequin.

Akima, on the other hand, now watched her opponent with a heavy heart. When her Brick Break had connected with Poliwhirl's fist, she'd not only heard the breaking of his bones, but felt them as well. She hadn't intended to cause such an injury to him, she only meant to bruise it up a little so he'd be less inclined to throw such reckless punches. The glare he shot her was fully-deserved and the Sneasel's head feather drooped a little until the tadpole was back on his feet, charging at her while releasing a stream of bubbles with his good hand, only to fall back to his knees. Though guilt-ridden, Akima knew she had to finish this battle, though she didn't want to cause any more hurt to Poliwhirl, so she would win it with style. It shouldn't take much longer considering the sizable gap in points. Both of Akima's fists began to glow with a faint blue aura and she jumped forward into the Bubblebeam, spinning like a ballerina. Her momentum carried the bubbles around her like a twister, though as they came too close to her Icy fists they began to freeze solid and shatter, highlighting the ice-type in a cascade of glittering ice shards. Akima landed gracefully on the stage, taking a moment to pose before she looked back at Poliwhirl, apologetic yet still angry at his vicious onslaught of attacks earlier in the match.

Riza glanced up and around at the crowd as their booing had changed to cheers, and she looked at Akima in time to catch the tail end of her combination. The raven haired girl sighed and smiled weakly, very thankful that her Pokemon was so clever and able to act on her own. Riza raised a hand to push her hair back from her eyes and then realized that she was shaking. Shaking with both fear and worry for Crenu, and for the fact that she had no idea how to help him.

Adam simply growled and clenched a fist, choosing to ignore his little sister's insults. Unfortunately there was no chance of his Drifblim being able to dodge the Misdreavus' Thunderbolt and it crackled through the air before slamming into the dual flying and ghost-type, once again sending him to the ground. It probably would have been over right then and there had he not been using Stockpile beforehand, and Adam made a mental note to be sure to teach Spit Up and Swallow to the Pokemon before they battled again. Right now there wasn't much he could do, though. "Okay Drifblim, give that Misdreavus a taste of your Gust!" The Balloon Pokemon cooed and floated up before it began to spin, creating a strong vortex of wind that whipped towards Siren.

Katie, meanwhile, watched with impressed eyes as the Thunderbolt hit its mark, very much wishing that she could be as strong as Mai someday, if not stronger. The way she commanded her Pokemon was like a general commanding her troops, though at the same time it was easy to see that she cared for them. The orange haired girl wore an expression of determination as she looked back at the confused Glameow. "Noa, finish it off!" she cried, pointing at the downed feline. "Wing Attack, go!" The Staravia trilled in reply and was already speeding towards her target, wings outstretched and glowing brightly.

Kimiko was only being nice to this girl when she first saw her. Yes she was wearing a four hundred dollar dress set that included the matching socks and head bow but, this girl was a walking train wreck. First she wasn’t wearing ANY makeup, and this girl’s face was far from perfect. She was red and pimply, her pores where so clogged, poor thing needed to cleanse. Her hair was frizzed and tucked into a bun; she could have at least used a wig!!
Kimiko looked at her in shock and horror, THIS girl was insulting her look. “e-excuse me”
“You heard me you filthy gyaru, go be a slut somewhere else!” the girl snorted at her.
Kimiko began to see red “Oh HELL naw!” she yelled as she shoved her hand into the girl’s face. “If YOU want to start s**t with me, you better back it!”
Kadaj yipped in response.
The Lolita hopped back in surprise, “How dare you!” She grabbed a pokeball out of her matching pink heart bag. “I’m going to whip your a** and then laugh about you to my friends!” She threw her pokeball “Miwako!” she yelled as a Chimecho popped out of her pokeball. Kadaj hurried over in front of Kimiko and yipped. “Good boy!” she cheered.
“Miwako! Use astonish!” she commanded, the little pokemon trusted itself at Kadaj smacking him in the face. The Eevee jumped back in surprise and flinched expecting another hit.
“It’s ok Kadaj use sand attack!” Kadaj turned back to kick sand up but was smacked down by a tackle from the Chimecho. The Lolita gave out a sharp laugh, “just as I though, you and your pokemon are pathetic!” The Chimecho began to float back up but was tugged back down; Kadaj had its tail by his teeth. He whipped it around and threw it to the ground. The little pokemon let out a cry at it was smacked hard against the ground. Kadaj walked over by its face, he calmly turned around having his backside to it and kicked up some sand in its face.
“hah hah! Good boy!” Kimiko laughed. Kadaj walked back towards her with his nose turned up.
“Ugh! Miwako tackle!!” The Chimecho struggled to float back up and tackle Kadaj down again. It flung itself towards him but missed and hit the ground. Kadaj looked over for a second and flung his body on top of it to tackle. The Chimecho cried out again and squeezed itself free. It hovered above Kadaj desperately trying to shake the sand from its eyes. It then desperately flung itself to him again hitting him hard to the ground. Kadaj cried out, it was a critical hit.
“Ah! U-use Wish do it do it do it!” Kimiko yelled in desperation. Kadaj sparkled and began to glow for a couple seconds in a spectacular rainbow. The Chimecho smacked him down to the ground again.
“hah! Seems like your running out of luck!” The lolita cackled again.
Kimiko only concentrated on Kadaj desperately, “T-tackle please!” she cried out. Kadaj jumped at the Chimecho but missed the little pokemon, landing hard on the ground. “Miwako, finish it!” The pokemon turned around and readied to attack Kadaj but, he started to sparkle and glow once again replenishing most of his health. The Chimecho hit him once again but did not knock him out. Kadaj grabbed him by the tail again flinging him to the ground and tackling him. The Chimecho gasped and fainted, “oh!!” the lolita yelled, she pulled out her pokeball calling the Chimecho back inside.
“You were only lucky!” she glared at Kimiko.
“I still kicked your a**, luck or not!” she replied with a huge smirk on your face.
“You are still a stupid whore! With no class, wait unti-ah!” she screamed noticing Kadaj was peeing on her socks. “You stupid pokemon!” the loltia kicked him hard. Kadaj yelped and landed a foot away from them.
“Oh hell naw! You don’t kick my pokemon! Kimiko yelled as she kicked off her heels and dropped her back. She ran up to the lolita launching an axe kick to the face, knocking the girl to the ground. Kimiko jumped on top of her and began pummeling her face. “How do you like it?! Huh!?”
It was only shortly after she was dragged off the girl, just getting a couple hits in. “Woah now! The battle is over!” it was Officer Jenny, “Battles are with pokemon, not fists” she scolded Kimiko.
“b-but she kicked my pokemon!” Kimiko wined.
“I’ll do it again too!” the lolita teased and spat at her direction. Kimiko launched herself again but Jenny held her back. “COMON! COME AT ME BRO! COME AT ME!” Kimiko yelled. The lolita ran off.
“Hey! Worry about your pokemon first!” Jenny yelled.
Kadaj was limping over to Kimiko. “Oh! Kadaj!” Kimiko said as she scooped him up into her arms.

Crenu continued to stand there with blank eyes, apparently unaware of everything unfolding before him. It was as if his eyes were simply glass, reflecting the battle the stage Riza the pokemon, but none of it got through the glossy surface. Inside his mind was an internal struggle, battling with his paranoid delusions of the raven haired girl's deception and the feelings he'd developed for her somewhere deep down inside. No, no Crenu had to be strong, he couldn't be lead astray but pretty looks and a cute smile, or an interesting personality that wasn't as annoying as every other cheery girl he'd ever met. He had to be strong, he had to push all that out of his head so he could focus on training and bettering himself, on becoming sharper and more powerful. To gain ultimate power, this was his goal, his purpose! Nothing would get in his way, nothing would stop him from attaining ultimate power! He was going to become the post powerful trainer, the most powerful person ever, stronger than any region champion! But...but why was he trying to attain so much power again?

Poliwhirl, meanwhile, was glaring at Akima as she deflected his attack. There was no reason for that, it wasn't even going to hit her! She was just rubbing it in. She wanted him to know he was defeated, that she was better than him. Damn ice type pokemon, this was it! Poliwhirl was going to crush her! He got back to his feet to charge at her, his broken hand glowing as he prepared to throw it again, the pain being ignored from his sheer rage and ill will. But he wasn't charging at Akima, no, this was on the trainer! The Sneasel was to fast to hit but this Riza girl was the perfect target! Poliwhirl cocked his fist back and leaped into the air at Riza, ready to cause her all the devastation he was feeling now, it was her fault he was going to be banished into storage!

As Crenu stood there thinking over every line of information in his head he started to focus, his blank eyes picking up the actions of his Poliwhirl. As he watched the Tadpole Pokemon fly at Riza with an attack ready he envisioned the angry Ekans diving at her with it's fangs ready to do the same thing. He remembered losing his father, receiving the news about Ayane. The reason he dove in front of that strike, the reason he wanted all that power. It was to protect the people he cared about, to have the kind of power that would let him keep everyone safe! Quickly his hand shot from his waist, Poliwhirl's pokeball in hand and he hit the button on it and it's return beam shot out, catching Poliwhirl in the air in front of Riza and pulling him back into the safety of the pokeball. Though he was moving, and the life returned to his eyes a tiny bit, it was clear he was far from alright. With Poliwhirl back in his pokeball Crenu turned and walked off stage, no longer interested in the contest it seemed, maybe even unaware of the whole situation still.

The very tired trio could see the lights of the city in the distance, all that was separating them from getting a very well deserved nights sleep was a bridge that was over the water. If they had any energy left in their bodies the group would have run over the bridge, into the pokemon center and crashed onto one of the couches. Instead they had to settle to a slow walk, that was as fast as they could make it, over what was probably a very nice bridge during the day. They did not care to much for the bridge right now. By the time they were over it Robin's seemingly boundless energy was gone and she was practically dragging her feet, Black*Star was pushing himself forward mostly just to seem tough though, Ace looked pretty fine but the flames on his tail were low and flickering.

Ignoring most of the town except for the red roofed pokemon center they managed to drag themselves in, and discovered much to their delight that they actually had a room off to the side that had bunk beds for trainers. When they managed to make it to the room Robin, Ace, and Black*Star crashed down onto one of them not even bothering to get changed or wash up. The three of them were curled up around each other and asleep in seconds.

~~~~~~~~~~~
It would not be a trip with Dante if something bad didn't happen to him. He had to have the worst luck ever. Just as they were about to float out over the last mud patch a strong gust of wind managed to push him out of the Drifblims protective arms and both him, and the egg, luckily his bag was hooked onto the pokemon and not him. Dante and his egg hit the mud with a loud SPLAT! Sitting up in the mud Dante reached up and swiped a hand over his eyes before opening them. Taking a deep breath in he let out a loud sigh of resignation. These were new clothes to!
Looking down at the egg in his arms he was surprised to see that it wasn't broken. Instead the fall seemed to cause the pokemon inside of it to wiggle around some more inside of it's protective shell. He raised a mud covered eyebrow at that but decided that it would hatch when it was ready. Instead he decided it was high time to get out of this mud so he could make it to the pokemon center as soon as he could for a nice shower and a trip to the laundry room.
The rain was now a very good thing for him as it seemed to be washing away a lot of the dirt on him. Thanking small mercies Dante reached up and slicked back the covered with mud and grime bangs that were stuck to his face. Picking himself up he secured the egg in his arms once more and began to trudge through the mud. On the other side of the mud pit he was in he saw the blond girl with a worried look on her face under her parasol. Well at least she wasn't laughing. Dante was pretty sure if he was traveling with Keegan the redhead would be laughing at him. He was also pretty sure that if he was traveling with Keegan that he would have made an attempt to take him down with him.
"Are you ok?" The girl asked worried as she took in Dante's dirty, but mostly just wet now, from the waist up anyway, appearance as he stepped out of the mud.
"Unfortunately enough I have had worse falls." Dante muttered bitterly as he remembered the tin tower experience. "Honestly I will be fine."
The girl looked concerned for a moment before looking down at the egg in his arms. "I am surprised that did not hatch early from the fall. What is in it?"
"Me to, and you will just have to wait to find out like everyone else." Dante muttered as he stood in the rain as it washed him off.
Once again Lillian stood there, dumbfounded as the match finally came to a close. Akima's beautiful counter of Poliwhirl's Bubblebeam was more than enough to strip Crenu of all his remaining points, causing the crowd to give a sort of relieved cheering. "Well, that's that," the emcee said, starting to walk out into the stage, but she stopped as she saw Poliwhirl stand up, and began to charge forward, his injured hand once again glowing with the power of a Brick Break, but it quickly became clear that Poliwhirl's target had changed from Akima to the Sneasel's trainer, Riza. That seemed to be enough to temporarily snap Crenu back to reality and he quickly recalled the unruly Poliwhirl before any harm could be done to the dark-haired female trainer.
"...Okay, that was a little bit different, but the results are in! Riza and her lovely Sneasel are moving on to the finals where she will be facing Jerome and his Cacturne - a battle of Dark-type Pokemon, this should be exciting, but first we need a bit of an intermission to fix up the stage, and make sure both Pokemon are in tip-top fighting shape! Back with you momentarily, folks!" The emcee clapped her hands, rousing the crowd to do the same and soon they were cheering loudly with the prospect of witnessing an exciting final-round battle.
Upon seeing the Drifblim bounce back after that last hit, Mai let out an agitated growl and clenched a fist. If it weren't for those Stockpiles... The Ghost/Flying-type had then launched a rather strong Gust at Siren, and the Misdreavus was having difficulty avoiding being blown back. The Gust would soon win out and the smaller of the two Ghost-types found herself drifting back, out of control. "Alright," the Rocket admin growled, her nostrils flaring slightly. "Siren, Psychic attack!" Still drifting backwards, the Misdreavus' gems all glowed an eerie purple before emitting a wave of strong, Psychic energy at the Drifblim. Even though each side still had a Pokemon remaining, Mai was more than done with this battle already.
Penny's Glameow blinked and looked up in time to see a tawny blur speeding straight for her, wings spread wide. The Wing Attack scored a direct hit and the Catty Pokemon was down and out, lying in a crumpled pile on the ground. Penny let out a garbled sentence that was mangled by her frustrated tears and she recalled the poor thing, glaring daggers at Katie as she reached for her second and final Pokeball. "You think you're so strong, but this Pokemon is gonna rock you!" She let the sphere fly and out popped a Pokemon that Katie hadn't seen in person until this point in time - the evolved form of Geodude, Graveler. "Graveler, start with Rock Polish, and then we'll crush 'em!" The Graveler grunted in reply and tucked in its arms before beginning to spin in place, rounding off the jagged edges of its body to reduce drag and dramatically increase its speed.
Kimiko barged into the pokemon center cradling her injured pokemon in her arms. Almost tripping over her heels, she made it to the counter and handed Kadaj to Nurse Joy. “Oh my! You look like you’re about to collapse! It’s going to be ok!” She walked over to the machine.
“I-I’m going to kill her!” Kimiko gritted her teeth.
“Is that a threat I’m going to have to write down?” Officer Jenny had followed her to the center.
“N-no! I’m just upset!” Kimiko had sat herself up on the counter. “Why are you following me now?”
“I have to make a report, in case she presses any charges. I just need to take down your information. Can I see your trainer card?” she held her hand out.
“Laaaaaaaaame!” Kimiko groaned as she pulled her trainer card out and slapped it in Jenny’s hand. She then grabbed the egg out of her bag and examined it for any cracks. She had tossed her bag, with the egg inside, on the ground earlier during the scuffle. “Good, no cracks at all. I wonder what’s inside. I hope it’s cute!”
“huh… did you scribble your name out?” Jenny was scrutinizing Kimiko’s modification to the card.
“M-my name is Kimiko! Th-they miss printed my name so I fixed it myself.” She felt a nudge on her arm, it was Kadaj fully healed. “Oh yay! You’re all better!” She hugged him, “I won’t let that awful girl hurt you again!”
Jenny handed Kimiko her card back, “stay out of further trouble” she said before leaving.
“phew, that ordeal is over. At least we won and earned some extra cash!” Kimiko was walking over to the ladies room. She flinched when she saw herself. “Oh my!” Her curls where undone and her eyeliner had smudged. Not to mention her foundation was starting to look old. “No! I must fix all of this!” She dumped the contents of her makeup bag on the counter and began work. Kadaj curled up next to her leg and began to sleep.
By the time Kimiko had finished, it was already morning.
It was somewhat later in the morning then she had been told to get up when Robin decided it to wake up. Yawning she wiggled around some in her warm covers before deciding to groggily get out of bed and head over to the showers. With a groan she managed to get her tired body out of her bed and around her sleeping pokemon. Apparently the pile had grown bigger, or maybe Ampersand had just let her other pokemon find her or whatever. Either way her bed was much more crowded now with the sleeping forms of her pokemon. It did not help that Razputin took up a ton of space now as his spiky form was curled around all the others. Ace and Luffy had somehow managed to get tangled together in a funny sight to behold. Poor Slowpoke hadn't even made it onto the bed though and was sleeping at the foot of it, Robin picked him up and put him down where she had been sleeping. Black*Star was sprawled across the foot of her bed and he looked a little different, though Robin's sleep addled mind could not figure out why though. Brook had somehow managed to not only get spores on almost everyone but also take up a ton of room even though he wasn't very big himself. Robin was surprised that she fit on the small bed at all considering how full it was.
Deciding not to wake her team up the redheaded girl with a serious case of bedhead right now decided that showers were in order. Grabbing her bag, which contained all her bath stuff to, she trudged out of the sleeping quarters and over to the girls locker room. Pushing the door open she didn't really notice anyone else in there, even though there seemed to be only one girl who was frantically fixing her make up. Heading to one of the open shower stalls she dropped her stuff on the ground, she didn't really care at the moment if anything broke. She snatched one of the complementary towels and slung it over the door before she decided to start stripping out of the clothes she had worn to bed the night before. It was clear she either did not give a s**t if someone was watching her or was to tired to care. Probably parts of both. When she had put her dirty clothes on the ground she reached into the shower stall to turn on the hot water. Like most places she had to wait around a bit before the delicious hot water started to stream down.
Kimiko shuffled through her stuff to grab her favorite mascara. She began to liberally applying it to her lashes. Kadaj was sound asleep under the sink, he had been asleep for at least a couple hours as his trainer fixed up her hair and makeup.
By this time a groggy woman headed for the showers, Kimiko peeked over. She had such amazing red hair! She was distracted up the point the girl started taking her clothes off. Kimiko tried to look away and go back to what she was doing but ended up poking her self in the eye with her mascara wand.
Kadaj woke up in a groggy hase, with his blurry vision he saw a redheaded girl get ready to shower. Thinking it was his trainer he hurried into the stall with her to join in the shower.
Kimiko regained her vision and saw that her pokemon had ran off with the naked girl. "K-Kadaj! No!!"
Her pokemon yipped in surprise when he realized this girl was not his trainer.
Riza had chanced a glance at the scoreboard, relief flooding her as she saw Crenu's points drop away to zero. The raven haired girl sighed, preparing to call back Akima, but she quickly realized that Poliwhirl, despite his injury, hadn't stopped attacking even though the round was now over. It took a split-second longer for her to realize that the water-type wasn't attacking Akima, he was attacking her. Riza's grey eyes widened and she tried to move, to react or defend herself in some way but all she could do was stare, fear paralyzing her and rooting her to the spot. The tadpole jumped, his injured fist glowing with power as he prepared to smash it into her. Riza wanted to scream, but no sound came out, and the next thing she knew, the Pokemon vanished in a flash of red light, returned to the confines of his poke ball and leaving a stunned Riza still standing on the stage, frozen with terror.
Akima had quickly realized what was happening, and even with her amazing speed she could not have caught up to Poliwhirl and stopped him from harming her trainer. The Sneasel fell to her knees on the stage as the Pokemon was recalled, looking back over her shoulder as the silver-suited man turned and walked off the stage. Lillian's voice echoed across the now-silent stage, the crowd also hushed from the strange turn of events. Soon the charismatic emcee had the crowd excited once again, and the noise was enough to rouse Riza from her trance. The fact that she was in the finals hadn't yet registered in her mind as she walked across the stage and picked Akima up, cuddling the Sneasel in her arms. Akima wailed and threw her arms around her trainer, crying loudly as the duo left the stage.
"Shh, Akima, it's all right," Riza murmured, setting the dark-type down on a vanity table once they were back in the dressing room. "I-I don't know what happened out there, but that wasn't Crenu. I've never heard him talk like that before. I wonder what's wrong with him?" Tears threatened the corners of her eyes but she forced them back, not wanting to have to redo her makeup yet again. She reached into her bag and pulled out the small box containing the gift Fantina had given her, and she carefully removed the Silk Scarf Akima wore, its end slightly torn and a little dingy from its repeated wearings. Riza folded the scarf and tucked it away in her bag before holding up the cord, from which dangled a hooked claw for the Sneasel to see. "Fantina said it would boost your power, though I'm not sure what she meant." She carefully looped it over the Pokemon's head, tightening it so that it would not come loose. "We've come this far, and we're definitely not going to give up now, no matter what." She closed her eyes, unable to unsee the fierce glares that Crenu had shot her way. Trying to shake them off, the raven haired girl returned the Sneasel to her poke ball and brought it to the on site nurse so that she could be healed and ready for the final round.
Katie had been smirking quite smugly as Penny had returned her fainted Glameow to its ball, very certain they could handle whatever Pokemon was sent out next. Her smile quickly faded when she saw the Graveler appear, realizing that she hadn't yet fought one of those, and that there was a possibility that Noa could be in trouble. 'We trained for our weakness against rock-types though,' the orange haired girl thought, frowning slightly. 'Noa held her own against Roark and his rock Pokemon, so we'll do the same now!' Katie watched the Graveler as it began to spin, increasing its speed. "Noa, let's crush them first! Use your Steel Wing!" The Staravia crowed loudly, remembering just how good using this move felt. She dove down, taking aim at the large rock Pokemon, noting it was far larger than the Geodude she'd battled previously. Her wings shone with a brilliant, silver sheen and she brought them both down towards the Graveler, attempting to crush it with the steely strike.
Adam was certain his Drifblim could withstand the Misdreavus' Psychic attack, but the little ghost was full of surprises. The attack hit much harder than either he or the Balloon Pokemon thought it would, a critical strike perhaps, and like that, the ghost and flying-type was done for, floating to the ground in an almost-comical, deflated heap. Adam sighed and recalled the Pokemon, nearly glaring harshly at the beautiful woman across from him. She seemed agitated with the battle, so he smiled, figuring he'd end this battle quickly, just like she wanted. "Honchkrow, let's go," he said, pushing his Bieber-styled bangs out of his face. "Give that Misdreavus a Night Slash." His voice was calm as his second Pokemon materialized. It was a large, black bird, bigger than Noa. It had a puffy white crest of feathers and it appeared to be wearing a large pimp hat on its head. It gave a shrill caw and took off, flying towards Siren with its sharp talons extended and glowing with a dark, sinister power.
It took a moment for Robin to wake up enough for her to notice that there was a cute little Eevee in her shower stall with her. Not really sure what to do about this strange occurrence she smiled prettily at it and without a thought she bent down and scooped the now wet pokemon into her arms in a hug. "Aw, aren't you cute? I wonder where you came from little buddy?" She asked as she held it out at arms length and looked it over. The redhead didn't really know where this cute little Eevee had come from, truth be told she had never actually seen an Eevee either, just their evolved forms. They were just as cute as she thought that they would be to! Still as much as she would love to keep and snuggle up with this little guy, she was in a pokemon center and it did belong to someone probably. Pouting slightly she looked over the now dripping wet pokemon.
"You lose your trainer little guy?" She wondered aloud. "Well you can stick with me until I finish up and we can go look together hmm?" Just then her stomach rumbled slightly and she laughed slightly at that. "Ok we can get breakfast with the rest of my team and then go look for your trainer." Of course she had no idea that his trainer was about ten feet away and had seen exactly where he had gone.
The rain helped clean Dante off a bit as they walked through Rout 215 towards Veilstone city. When the city limits came into view Dante's clothes were mostly clean, well there was just mud stains on them now instead of actual mud. "I am going to do some laundry in the pokemon center. You can do whatever you want." Dante muttered as he veered off towards the red roofed building that was in every town worth notice. The somewhat irritated young man ignored the groups of trainers who were milling around the pokemon center and headed towards the back where the complementary laundry machines were. Not caring to much at the moment he shoved his egg into his bag before he started to strip out of his still dripping wet clothes and shoved them in the laundry machine dumped a bunch of soap in there and jabbed the turn on button. His clothes taken care of for a moment he stood there in his underwear for a moment before grabbing a towel from his seemingly endless bag and wrapping it around himself he headed over to the showers to wash the rest of him off.
By the time he left the showers he was in a better mood. He had changed into his old clothes temporarily. Heading back into the laundry room he switched his now wet but clean clothes into the dryer. The auburn haired boy was about to just relax there until it beeped at him that his clothes were dry when the blond girl showed up again.
"While you are waiting for your clothes to dry would you let me groom your Rapidash?" She asked sweetly.
"Hrm." Dante recalled her mentioning something about that earlier and his reluctant agreement to it. Figuring he had nothing better to do, and Apollo really did deserve something nice he just shrugged and followed her out into the back. There were less people behind the pokemon center, there was really just a small training area for them and their pokemon. Once they were outside Dante found Apollo's pokeball and released the dazzling Rapidash. As always the black, white and silver Rapidash gathered tons of attention. They ignored it though and Dante patted the unicorns side. "She is just going to clean you up." He wasn't to sure if that is what she was going to do but he figured it was best to reassure the somewhat skittish Rapidash.
Jasper devoured what was left of his food and leaned back in his seat, feeling better than he had in a long, long time. The prospect of not traveling alone was quite welcoming for him, and Scarlet did have a point - there were gyms everywhere, and he didn't doubt that he, if not the newly-formed trio, would return to Violet City someday. 'Who knows, maybe I'll be strong enough to challenge Bugsy myself once we get to Azalea,' the bandanna-clad youth thought, wearing a wide smirk. He stood up, careful as not to kick his Pokemon (though a quick glance under the table showed that Ditto had since changed into a Totodile as well and now the two Pokemon were busy comparing their fangs). Rolling his eyes a little Jasper cleared away his trash, and after a second and third thought offered to take Jett and Scarlet's as well.
He whistled quietly to himself as he ambled over to the gleaming silver trash can, finding himself to be looking forward to the trip ahead of him. Even though he'd spent his entire life in Johto, he hadn't seen much of it save for the few cities surrounding Goldenrod. It would be nice to get to places he hadn't seen before, and he idly wondered if he'd be able to run any scams now that he'd picked up a few new friends. If he stuck to this trainer business, there was a good chance he wouldn't need to, especially since winning battles and defeating gyms was a great way to sustain one's livelihood, but the last thing he wanted was for his other skill set to become dormant, or even rusty. He glanced back at Ditto again, realizing then that his partner in crime would never let that happen. "So," he said, slapping his palms on the table. "Shall we be off, then?"
Despite her less-than-stellar skill at battling, even someone as inexperienced as Hayley could see that the pair of Spearow appeared to be wishing they'd picked on someone else as the pair of small Pokemon were proving to be quite the nuisance. The Rattata and Nidoran seemed to be in perfect sync with one another and Hayley couldn't help but wish that Cynder was here to watch them. She knew he had disapproved of her capturing the rodent Pokemon, but if he could see Mya now, she was sure he'd eat his words. In near-perfect unison, Mya and her new comrade jumped into the air, landing one final Tackle and Scratch attacks to their targets, and in a flurry of feathers and squawks the winged duo decided to cut their losses and make a break for it. Upon seeing that they'd won, Mya and the Nidoran both rose up on their hind legs and cheered before giving each other a high five, which Hayley made a mental note to make a sketch of later.
"You two were awesome!" the brunette cheered as she walked over to the two Pokemon. "Mya, those were some slick moves! And you have a pretty fierce little Scratch attack there, Nidoran," she added, patting them both on the head. Mya preened at the praise and stood up taller, while the Nidoran shied away at first, but soon couldn't resist a loving pat from the nice human girl. Victorious or not, however, both Pokemon were covered in tiny cuts from the sharp beaks of the Spearow, and Hayley scooped them both up into her arms. "A visit to the Pokemon Center is in order," she told them, seemingly have forgotten that the Nidoran was a wild Pokemon. The small blue creature didn't seem to care too much as she chattered on happily with Mya, the two of them already regaling each other with the awesome tale of their epic little win.
