 There are no such things as coincidence.Evacy had left the dining area after seeing Kai's note, and went back to her room. There, she wondered if practicing would be a good idea, and decided against it. After pacing a bit, she decided to go to the town and see what was there. Putting on a hat, and tacking a note on her door, she left the stone enclosure and wandered outside, trying not to get lost. There is only hitsuzen

He had washed up and donned his old leather armor taking a husk of bread with some meat on top from the platter, the whole time not saying a word to Cotriona. As he left his chambers he stopped in his track, turning around slowly he looked at her. She was just sitting there, looking at him expectantly," We can talk later, just follow me." He briefly remembered a note from Kai saying to find him at the stables so he made his way there, taking a few direction from the maid.
As he approached he saw that Kai and Lucas had been sparing.
This is exactly what I needed
He thought to himself as he made his way down to them.
"One of you, I don't care who. Fight me."

There are no such things as coincidence.She was barely out the door when her eye caught Kai and Lucas taking a break from sparing. "Looks interesting." She was about to go join them when Pix challenged one of them. "Even more interesting." She smiled to herself. "I hope no one minds if I go watch." Evacy made sure not to bother anyone, with the occasional stumble. She made it to the stables, and leaned against one of them. There is only hitsuzen

The two were a little surprised to see Pix in front of them, out of the blue.
Lucas stood up, not one to turn a sparring session down. "Alright, lad, if that's what you want..."
He handed Kai's wooden sword to Pix and gripped his own in his hand. He swung at Pix.

He was fast, Pix gave him that, but he was faster. Parrying he sidestepped to his right, making an obvious feint to right with the stick to distract Lucas he then kicked with the intent to knock Lucas to his feet.

Nodding briefly she stood, glancing at the food. Her stomach churned at the thought of eating but she grabbed some bread as well, just in case she had a change in appetite.
They got to the stables and, seeing Master Lucas and one of his guests, she understood why. Still in a considerable amount of pain, she sat on a stool in front of one of her favorite horses. She always had liked horses - so gentle, smart, and graceful. But also, where she was, she was well out of the way and able to disguise herself as a stable maid just innocently eating some breakfast. To complete the image, she pulled out the bread and ate a few small pieces, finding that it did make her feel better.

Lucas wasn't easily knocked over. His muscles gave him great weight, which he always used to his advantage. The kick hurt, but he didn't budge. Using Pix's momentum against him, he made a move trying to grab Pix by the feet and flip him over.

Damn, I didn't expect him to be this good
He thought to himself as Lucas clutched at Pix's leg, flipping him upside down, but he wasn't out of tricks yet. Grabbing a handful of dirt Pix threw it at the older man's eyes as he was tossed in a flipping motion, he planned to hit Lucas' head on the way down while he was distracted by the dirt.

Why yes, she was a maid.
She nodded silently, glancing at Pix before returning her gaze to the bread in her lap and not answering her second question. Rude, and conceited of her to disrespect her superiors like this. She would probably be punished.
He did not remember her though, and that filled her with a feeling that crushed her heart.
She touched her neck, just to be able to do something with her hands but even the light contact hurt and she knew she must be bruising. Catriona pulled her braid closer to her neck hoping that, with as loose as it was, it would cover any mark that had developed so far.

Lucas yelled as the dirt flew into his eyes and was stunned with a blow to the head.
Lucas backed away, keeping Pix from any further actions for the moment as he rubbed his eyes. He couldn't do much else, being blinded limited his opt
Kai stood up in protest. "Hey, that's dirty fighting! Why did you get so into it, it's just sparring!" he yelled. Fighting that way was in bad taste, at least Kai thought so.

"Chivalry will get you no where, boy," Pix said without actually turning to Kai, instead he kept his eyes on Lucas slowly circling him and drawing closer. If he landed a blow now, or if Pix was forced to do some more acrobatics he could tell the old wound was going to open, it already hurt from last night's activities.

Lucas was hell-bent on getting back at Pix for that cheap move. The dirt had been cleared from his stinging eyes. Attempting to take Pix off guard, he ran at him, trying to leap on him and knock him down.

Lucas was built like an Ox, and with his arms outspread Pix didn't have much chance to manuever so he ducked down instead.
This unfortunately ended up with the man instead landing on his back. He was bleeding, and it hurt like hell. He turned himself over grabbing to keep Lucas in a lock, "Just give up old man!" he snarled ,"I'm sure you were once in the same line of work that I am, I can tell by your movements. You know there's no love for a merc, you fight dirty or die. That's the lesson I'm trying to teach the boy."
And like hell he was going to lose, he'd make Lucas surrender before he let the wound take him.

There are no such things as coincidence.Evacy was sorely tempted to throw an anesthetic dart at Pix, but she let it be. She also didn't want to seem nosy, so she didn't push the matters further with the maid. "You could at least tell me your name, you know." Evacy said to the maid. There is only hitsuzen
