She laughed, then sniffled again. "The gods seem to have a sense of humor don't they?" With many things it seemed, even Savryn's existance could be noted as the product of the gods' sense of humor. But Shyrae was going to keep that thought to herself since she knew how sensitive Savvy could be over the circumstances of her birth. She didn't turn at the sound of the voice behind her since she didn't want anyone to know she was bleeding quite profusely. "Yes, I am. Is it that obvious?" This man had entirely too many cuts...she runed a few more of the larger gashes and felt blood fill her mouth. Hell... Her father would kill her if he knew.

A thoughtful look crossed his face. "Perhaps. It would be effective if only to maintain the Guards' state of unity and sense of patriotism." He was still very much relieved when Lycear decided to change the topic, it was often depressing to keep on talking about what was essentially wrong with Ilindal. "Your words ring true as always, father. I must learn to accept myself for who I am, faults and past mistakes included. Thank you." But a look outside and then towards the door. "I think I shall take my leave now, father. I must return to the square and account for all casualties and damages, and I will send you the report later. Also, I will see if I come across the pair of elves so that I may offer our hospitality to them." He gave a curt bow and left the tower, wings outstretched to bring him back to the center of destruction.

Savvy walked over, green energy alighting her fingers and moment and she touched them to Shyrae's cheek, soon enough her own nose leaking blood and she spat some upon the ground. Life tap healing...or kinda healing. For Shyrae it was. "You can't hide blood from me." Spared Shyrae the bleeding.
Jaebelltiah hated earthquakes. It made her already clumsy self more so. "Lord Lycear is going to maim me." Well, not really. "Maybe he's in a good mood or preoccupied." She was supposed to meet with him fifteen minutes ago. But no, had to be an earthquake. Though her pace slowed as she came into the central square. "Wow...I didn't think it was this bad." Though spotting the commander she brightened. If he was in the tower, he was probably with his father...which meant all in all that had also bought her time. So then a pick up of her pace a moment and th-. Whack...right into a cart full of rubble, more or less flipping over it and landing on her wings and tail. "Ow..."

Caden knew that kind of answer would come from the elf, she has been like that to him ever since they have met for crying out loud. "It's not forced...I know my mistake and I'm sorry for the trouble I caused the both of you." Well that's all he could do, though as Shyrae was trying to heal the man on the ground he watched carefully, the guy seemed like he had about two dozen knives thrown at him, and the drow didn't look so good either. "Shyrae are you alright?" He asked as he looked at her with a puzzled looked, he wondered if she could handle healing this man if she can't then he would ask her to step aside so another healer can take over, he didn't want to add the drow to the list on the fact she over helped. Though hen her friend when to help her he blinked again and stared at the drow. "Well if she isn't well then maybe another healer can take over..." But before he could say another word there was a loud noise and he turned to see a dragon on the ground. "I'll be right back..." He muttered and rushed to the dragon's side. "Are you alright?" He asked kneeling next to her.

Kaz saw the familiar cool blue and white coloring of the dragoness' clothing and scales as he soared through the air, and he landed gracefully on the ground next to her. "Late for something, Jae?" His nickname for her, though the question was said in his usual calm voice, no teasing undertones. He glanced over at the square for a moment though and saw the two elves crouched nearby, still helping the wounded. Good, that meant he would have the chance to approach them.

"No it isn't that it's obvious, it's just you aren't the first off worlder that I have known. Once you see one, you see the subtle signs that point out." Kronos said, as he saw what was going on between the two. "You sure the two of you are alright?" he asked with a worried look on his face. This was definitely something new, it looked as though she damaging herself by healing others, but Kronos couldn't be sure.

"No! I can do this." Taking a deep breath and she spun. "Savryn! You shouldn't have done that...now we're both bleeding and for no reason." She sighed and dropped back down to her knees more determined than ever to get this man healed and fine. She registered the sound of the crash but didn't turn around since Caden appeared to have it well in hand. Thus she went back to healing him, expending more runic energies as her mouth filled once again and then her ears twitched. She was on thin ice with this one... She sniffed again and muttered softly, "We're just fine."

Kronos merely cocked an eyebrow, "If this is what you call fine, I would hate to see what bad looks like" he said with a frown on his face. Kronos should have known better, than to think all those which came from other worlds would be as friendly as she had been all those years ago. Then again, at the age of 14 what beautiful woman isn't? "Look if you don't mind I'll stick around just to make sure, you're just fine." he said, meaning no offense, he hoped his words had not sounded harsh.
Kronos raised an eyebrow and turned his head to the commotion, just in time to a familiar dragon land not so gracefully on top of a cart. "The day would not have been complete without one of those." he chuckled to himself.

Savvy wasn't particularly listening to Caden anymore. Hey that was just how she was...she knew protocal and all when she saw it. A raise of an eyebrow to her friend though, spitting out some more blood. "I think you should take a break as well. And my bleeding will stop. A frown then...she knew how runic mages worked and duely she grabbed Shyrae, dragging her away from her current patient. "Are you trying to kill yourself? Stop that and have someone else do it." TUrning her head in the direction of the new voice of Kronos. "See, it's not just me nagging you."
She sighed in that way that she usually did when she ended up on the ground. Oh yes, this was pleasant, going to get up she found herself unable for a moment. Oh yes...nice...horn caught in cart wheel. A little manuvering and by the time Caden had jogged over she was at least getting up. A pout at Caden's question and she looked over her shoulder. "I landed on my ta-...I'm fine..." Looking him over...wait she knew his name, wait...think..."..Raynes. Yes I'm fine. No worries. My ego hurts, but that's about it." And her tail, but she wasn't saying that. Before a look over to Kaznec. Oh just what she needed, the wonderul commander. An no, that wasn't sarcasm. "Your father, but I assume he's forgotten about me anyway." Brushing some dirt from her clothes. Dirt was an enemy, especially if you had white scales. "And how many times must I tell you. It's Bell...Jae makes me sound like a guy." Though she supposed he did it to tease her anyway.

Bending down to scrutinize her tail, he picked out a rock lodged in between her scales and flicked it casually away. "Your ego is used to it, I think." Still calm and caring, in a way. He frowned a bit at her answer, glancing up to the tower momentarily. "Father never forgets." But he gave her a rare smile then, leaning over to right the cart. "I like Jae. Bell makes you sound like the metal device that humans ring to call their dogs to dinner." Old habits died hard, but he supposed an effort to change could be made if she really hated it that much.

Well by the time he gotten to the dragon Caden was happy to see that she was alright, though by the way this particular dragon did her entrance he knew it was Jae, after all he has seen her sometimes while doing his job; usually one gets to know the people he works with after awhile and Jae was one of them. "Well I'm glad to see that you're alright." A small smile came across his face as he stood up, he didn't want to see anyone else injured today, well except for those unfortunate people who did get injured during the earthquake. "I don't think you need to worry about your ego though, it'll be fine sooner than you think." He grinned to that as he stood there with the commander now.
Though a turn to Kaznec and he rolled his eyes. "Nice to know you haven’t run out of any human examples." He said with a light chuckle before he realized he needed to hand in his report. "Oh sir I almost forgot here..." He handed the list of injured and dead to him and waited until it was taken. "Also the friend I told you about who would be glad to take up the job of working the new foundations? He's getting his materials and men ready as we speak...I said in about a day we should see a list of what he needs." Yes things seem to be coming along smoothly now, hopefully it wouldn't be ruined. Though at that moment he picked up his coat that he wore that was thrown off the cart and put it on, automatically he realized something was in it and pulled it out. "What's this? A manifest?" He asked out loud looking it over with a puzzled look.

"Savvy! I can do this!" She spat out blood herself and shook her head, even Kronos believed she couldn't do it... "I wasn't going to kill myself...he was almost healed anyway." She shook off Savvy's arm and started to walk away though went slightly unsteady on her feet. Perhaps she'd lost more than she thought since she'd done that extra burst after Savvy's slight restoration. Reaching out for something to hold onto, she dropped to her knees and spat out more blood before wiping it on her arm once again. "Oh no..."

Upon seeing Shyrea fall, he walked over and knelled down beside her. "Look, I don't think you should try to heal him any further, you've done enough already. If you would do me the honor, I could finish the healing on the man myself?" he asked her with a worried look on her face. If elves and humans had one thing in common, it was there stubbornness. "We could always say it was all you." he said with a nervous smile, hoping that it would break the ice slightly.

A Light freeze at him touching her tail, which was duely flicked afterward Bit personal...not that she minded much, but hey. She was her. "Well you're both men, you would know about ego's wouldn't you." A scrunch of her nose. "I take offense to that. A bell is a very nice object that makes a very pretty noise, thank you." Jae, Bell, whatever...men got set in their ways." Crossing her arms lightly and she turned her head to Caden, watching him go about things. "Aw, Commander still on duty? Pity, I'll have no one to play with."
"You push too hard." Curling her fingers into a fist as her friend shook her off and walked out of her reach...yeah being blind sucked like that sometimes. Thus a little covery sight jacking of others. Seemed Kronos got to her, but she didn't look so hot. "Shyrae you need to rest before you join the injured and dead list. Let someone else handle things for a while. Please?"
