Sayfre quickly took down three of the orcs with an arrow. " I have been tracking these orcs for a while now, sorry if I stole your kills." As he pulled out the arrow from the lifeless heads he watched the others finish the orrcs off.

Ranu twitched as the Orc he'd planned to kill died. He shifted his target, slamming his weight into his opponents chest, sword stabbing with him so his weight pushed it in.

Kareswen had no trouble finding enemies of her own. The first went down with her blade through its chest as she was running forwards, withdrawing it as she reached the battle properly. The momentum had driven the sword right through the orc's body and as it fell, she had to place a foot on its chest in order to wrench the sword free, spattering blood in an arc to either side of her.

Bimithor looked around, hearing cries from orcs and the slashing of swords. The ranger climbed a tree to get a good view but saw nothing. He started running towards the sound and he saw the battle unfold as he started picking off orcs from a distance with his bow.

Ranu watched his sword slip along the Orc's chest, as swords were never designed to truly stab, swinging his sword back and across the throat of the orc, watching his blade slit its throat. He sneered at the sight, stepping away. His black haired head turned to the new comer as he spoke, eyes swiftly noting he was garbed similarly to him. "I thought I knew all the Rangers this far south," Ranu said in a soft voice that drew people into listening attentively, "I am Ranu, son of Rana."

Kareswen cleaned her blade on one of the dead orc's clothing, temporarily ignoring the conversation as she examined it for signs of damage. Satisfied, she resheathed the blade, returning to the horse. It had obediently stayed (almost) where she had left it and she had no difficulty in retrieving it and bringing it back up the slope towards the others, moving slowly as she scanned them discreetly.

The ranger looked at his fellow rangers, puzzled as to how was it that they all met. He also looked at the woman on the horse, discreetly whispering to the men who stood in front of him, "The woman gave us weird looks.."

Kareswen, ignorant of what was passing above, paused to let the horse graze, removing the bridle and tucking it under her arm, looking around idly for a stream. The poor beast could do with a drink as they'd stopped now. He was in good shape at the moment and she planned to keep it that way for as long as possible. The journey to Mordor was likely to be hard enough. The land for miles around had been stripped of anything even badly suited to sustaining life.

The ranger put his hands up defensively "I meant no offence, friend." The ranger then looked over at the female. "Looking for anything miss?"

Ranu rose an eyebrow at the question, moving closer to Kareswen in a protective way, "Why would you enquire as to my destination?"

Realising she had been drawn into the conversation, Kareswen came up behind Ranu and smiled slightly at the strangers, inwardly alert for any threatening behaviour, as she shook her head. "I merely scan the terrain." She answered, noting Ranu's body posture and wondering what had been said to make him tense.
