"Hey, Deidara!" Haku said cheerfully, almost as if the accident that had recently happened, never happened. "Oh, I've got a few things for you...." He pulled off his bag and pulled out Deidara's cloak, and handed it to him. He then rummaged around for a moment before pulling out his forhead protector, as well. "Zabuza-san got these for us..." He said as he handed it over.
Kankuro, seeing his brother, worked on standing up straight without holding his side, but failed miserably with a noticeble wince. Damn... the last thing he needed was for Gaara to know, because if his brother knew, then so would Temari, eventually... He turned away from Gaara a bit to hide his pained look, and began following Kiba.

"Yay! Haku, you're awesome, un!!" Deidara grinned, tugging on the cloak and forehead protector. "Looks like we foud you guys just in time too, un! Another minute and you'd have been gone!" Grabbing Gaara's hand, he trotted after Kankurou.
"Kanky! Your costume looks too good, un!" he smirked, and poked Kankurou's side, unknowing that it was his injured side. "Did Inuzuka make it, un?"

Kankuro gave a muted cry of pain and doubled over slightly. He bit his lip hard as his hands covered his side. He gave a solemn nod, deturmined to keep on going to school, as planned, even though he was in obvious pain. The car wasnt even going that fast... He thought to himself, wondering why being hit by a car hurt so much... but then again, people died from getting hit by cars....

Kiba noticed his friend and let go of Shino's hand. He grabbed Kankuro. "You should go home or something. That car hit you fairly hard." He muttered. "Hey guys, I'm going to take Kan-kitty back to my place. I'll meet up with you all at school!" With that he turned around.

"No." Kankuro growled, pulling himself away from Kiba. Still with an expression of pain, he stood up relitively straight. "I'm going to school." He said, and turned around, walking in the direction of the school. "And if anyone stops me, the locker is the least of your worries..." He grumbled, mostly under his breath, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

Kiba watched his friend walk away with a hurt look on his face. He ran after Kankuro and grabbed him again. "No! You need to stop doing this! You're hurt, so just stop this!" He once again started to pull the slightly older boy back towards where they had come from.

"Kiba..." Kankuro's voice wasnt a growl, but almost pleading. "Leave me be..." He pulled out of the boy's grasp once more. "I'm not going to say it again." That came out as a warning growl as he walked once more, covering the distance he had before Kiba grabbed him the second time.
Its like... a Yo-Yo... Haku thought, watching the pair with examining eyes. They then rested on Kiba, and he walked over to the boy. "I'm making sure he at least gets checked by the nurse, before he does anything else." That last phrase was loud enough for Kankuro to hear. His voice was firm, as well, leaving no room for argument. "Besides, you know that when he's like this, he's hard to control..." He murmered.

Kiba growled back. "I don't care. He's hurt right now and my house is closer then the school. Besides, that way I can call someone and have then checked out without him being in the school since it's not as close. Now come on Kankuro!" Kiba ran to catch up once again, pulling the other with him, making sure he couldn't get away.

Its wound up again, and...Well, it seems someone broke the Yo in Yo-Yo... What does that mean, anyways?
Kankuro tried escaping from Kiba once more, but wound up hurting himself more then he got away. He swung to punch at the boy, but stopped mid way with a frown. He couldnt punch Kiba... It was just something that couldnt, and wouldnt be done. The arm hoovering in mid-air slowly lowered back down and rested gently against his side. He allowed himself to be dragged away, so easily that Kiba almost fell over.

Shino watched the two go back and forth. His eyebrow twitched slightly, "Goddammit! Will you two knock it off? If Kankurou wants to go to school then let him. If he wants to go home, then let him. Kiba, you can't control everything. I know you are worried about him, but, he can make his own decisions. You are probably only physically hurting him more by pulling him around like that!" Shino let out an exasperated sigh. He was exhausted. He didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to say and he probably only just made things worse between all three of them. Great job, Shino. You get first place for the number one screw up in life.
Shino shoved his hands in his pockets and clenched his fists, allowing his fingernails to dig into the skin of his palms. He was glad that his face was obscured right now. If it wasn't, they all would be able to see the pain, anger and exhaustion that had been building up inside of him. He looked from shielded eyes at the other two.

Kankuro sent a glare at Shino. Yeah, he had just about punched Kiba, but... he would never say something like that. He paused in his step, causing a little resistance against Kiba for a moment to stare at Shino angrily, then tromped off in the direction Kiba had wanted him to go in, becoming more of the pull then the dead-weight of the pair as he tugged Kiba behind him. Yeah, he wanted to go to school, but... After what Shino said, he would rather do what Kiba wanted him to.

Kiba looked at Shino for a second before turning around and walking on his own. He looked over to the 'puppetmaster' and sighed. "I'm sorry Kankuro." He mutterd. He saw that his dog was following him. "I guess I should have let you go to school but...my house is still closer and you need to stop walking around. So I just thought that it would be better...Sorry."

"Its not-" Kankuro started with a growl, but his voice softened. "Its not your fault." He murmered. "You're right, anyways. It is probably better to rest a bit...." His voice trailed off as his side throbbed a bit. Eventually, they got to Kiba's house, and he leaned against the wall slightly as Kiba unlocked the door. "I just hope Temari doesnt figure out where I am and comes for me..." He grunted, still trying to imagine which reaction she would put up to hearing about her brother getting hit by a car. Would she be upset, and wonder how badly he was hurt? Or, most likely, even, she would storm off to where he was and 'lecture' him about his stupidity, or something.

((Hey, is Temari still in high school? 'cause then she would've been with Gaara and Deidara...oh well, let's just say she was late or something.))
Temari caught up with Deidara and Gaara at a local cafe a few blocks away from school, just as they were coming out. "Oh that's nice!" she scolded, "Leave me behind to do the dishes, huh? Just-"
Gaara cut her off by holding out a coffee, one of two he was holding (Deidara was holding his gourd at that moment), and she took it, surprised. Temari took a sip and her eyes widened, just how did Gaara know her favorite coffee from this cafe? W00t!
"I think Kankuro got hit by a car." Gaara intoned, killing her good mood.
"WHAT?!"
"Yeah, but Kiba's taking care of him, so you shouldn't worry too much. Besides, we have 5 minutes to get to school, and Naruto'll be pissed if we get there late, so let's go."
And Gaara started walking, taking his gourd from Dei-chan and sipping his own hot chocolate (who cared if it had no caffeine? He had no need for it, and hot chocolate was good no matter the season...).

((*dies laughing* Oh! And I found a Sasori!! *happy spaz dance* They'll join up once Loosey-sama accepts them to teh guild ^^))
Deidara laughed at Temari's spazzing, and dodged the fan that came whipping towards his head. He stole Gaara's cup, taking a sip before handing it back nonchalantly, and pushed through the front doors of the school. "We should find the others before school starts, un..." he said, pointing out the obvious. 'The others' most likely referred to anyone else who had decided to join the cosplay.
