Nala waited a few more moments, acting as though there was something particularly interesting in the corner that was deserving of extreme attention. "Is he ever going to pounce?" she thought quietly to herself, as though she could actually be heard thinking. Slowing her tail movements, she shifted her body around, turning ever so slightly although still not totally facing Simba.
She sighed, "Use it or lose it, I guess!" Twisting her back, she turned and sprang in Simba's direction, her movements quick and fluid.

simba's eyes widened in amazement and shock and his mouth gaped widely as the sight of nala flying through the air towards him with her paws out registered in his mind "HEY! WH..." simba grimaces and turning his body around swiftly for whatever leverage possible, he releases his tensed up muscles on his hind legs and pounces out into the air as hard as he can to meet nala's challenge.

Nala could only smile as the two of them connected in mid air, it felt good to finally be able to stretch out, the storm had put an awful damper on her adventuring fun. And frankly she couldnt think of a better opportunity, she's had lately, to test out her hunting skills either. Pouncing would surely come in handy one day.
((Pah, I'd write out the lovely tackle and landing and whatnot, but I'm afraid that'd be too control-y or something. sweatdrop ))

Taku smiled at then looked at Chakavu pleadingly, like som small young one that wanted something badly.
"Oh please Chakavu can we go...I don't like it here please!!"
The crow looked at her and then sighed heavily before looking at Mufasa and then at the young leapord cub and smiling.
"Oh alright...we'll go...it's better then being near the middle of the strom...and my wings could use the excersize!"
The young kit barked happily as she leaped in the air before sitting down and waiting for Mufasa's word to move on.

Athari turned his head back to eye Chavaku and Taku with a small grin, glad he'd be travelling with this pair, even if only for a little longer.
((lame, short post, I know...but must wait for Mufasaaa xd ))

Vashtya Athari turned his head back to eye Chavaku and Taku with a small grin, glad he'd be travelling with this pair, even if only for a little longer.
((lame, short post, I know...but must wait for Mufasaaa xd )) ((Yeah)) Taku looked at Athari and barked playfully before lowering herself to the ground and growling playfully, like a huntress training herself. She then jumped on him and started to chew on his ears gently.

Athari rolled under Taku's....onslaught, a happy purr/growl mix starting in his throat as he lowered his head, rolling forward in an attempt to trap Taku underheath him.

((Apologies. ^ ^; Two tests and a paper. ;-; ))
"Good then" -He nodded obviously happy that they were willing to come along, as it felt unpleasant to think of leaving them stranded beneath the large tree. Shifting gently, streching his limbs once again to prepare them, he glanced towards the darkened horizon, trying to figure out how long it would take.-
"We can leave in the morning if you guys would like, so we won't run into travelling in the muddy dark.. Or.. " -He smiled a little softly, not sure how well they'd like this idea.- "If you'd really like to get there tonight and don't mind being totted around, I could get us there more quickly on my own longer legs."

((no worries. heart n.n I'll be away all of tonite crying ))
Athari froze, looking up at Mufasa in awe. "What...exactly do you mean?" he asked, blinking in confusion. "You...you're going to carry ALL of us???" he exclaimed, eyes widening slightly, thinking that that would be awesome...but not wanting to seem like an overeager child, either.

-Laughing a little softly, he nodded.- "Well, atleast you two. I think that I could easily enough carry Taku in my mouth while you rest on my back... Or perhaps some other way as well. I've carried my share of much larger things before."
-Turning a smile to the two avian ladies he added lightly.- "Of course I'd be willing to carry you guys along as well if you would rather not get your wings soaked and heavy."

Dama shook her head. Riddles were not what she needed right now. "Fine, whatever you say. Your answers don't mean anything to me, I do not understand them." Under her breath, she added 'Crazy lady. Has me mixed up with someone else. She speaks in such riddles that its no wonder she's confused...' At the lioness's pause, she figured the crazy woman was finished with her, yet she turned her head to glance once more at regal lioness. And again she was spoken to, her mind fishing for a reply to what she heard. "There may be reasons for whatever it is that the god's do, be it sit on their rumps and watch us suffer, but their reasons aren't for me. Never once did they help Kitwana and I and they won't either. Its obvious. They'd rather see us die than anything else." She snorted, glancing up at Kitwana as he tapped her back. Nodding in response, she stood up, letting her head sink down as she padded slightly ahead of Kitwana, heading towards the shelter they'd picked out. The standing and talking was taking its toll on the juvenile. She did not want to be a burden to Kitwana, but was beginning to see double. She stumbled slightly on a rock, gasping as it cut into her paw. Blast it, Kitwana would be cross with her if she foundered here.... Swallowing the whimper that rose in her throat, she urged herself on. No more wasting time, breath or energy.
...Their destination seemed so close....yet it was still so far away...almost as if it were getting farther away. Or was that just in her imagination? Blinking hard, and shaking her head, Dama tried to figure out which it was. Her eyelids drooped, the grey lioness was slowly succumbing to the cold, wet rain, and the fatigue and malnutrition she'd suffered from for so long.... Her voice cracked slightly as she whispered something, then sank to a crouch. "Kitwana...I'm sorry.. So....tired......" Laying her head down on the ground, Dama passed out, her last waking sight of the rock shelter in front of her.
((Excuse the time it took for me to post this. I had writers block for her xd ))

Athari continued to look up at Mufasa consideringly, tilting his head slightly to the side. "Are you sure? I'm heavier than I look..." the young leopard said, idly tugging on Taku's ear.
