fernshouldburn I'm a solid CloudxTifa supporter. I mean, during the game, since Tifa's too shy to tell Cloud anything, Aerith steps in. Once she's out of the picture, it's obviously Tifa. I mean come on, id Cloud gonna date a dead girl? Plus, in on a way to a smile, the case of the maiden, it tells how when Aerith's in the lifestream, she pushes Tifa to help Cloud to unlock himself and such, and then she says something along the lines of, I did my best, but now Tifa, I leave him to you or something. While I do believe that Aeris would want Tifa to take care of Cloud I must say something that bothers me about this post. I have read the particular fanfiction too. That's what bothers me. The statement, "I did my best, but now Tifa, I leave him to you." is not either in the game, Advent Children, or Last Order. FanFiction should never be used as a base of evidence for a debate because it was not developed by the original storyteller, in this case Squaresoft or Square Enix now. I write fanfiction myself and I can say because I have done it before that I can bend all the characters to my will. Case in point, in one fanfic I made Cloud homosexual. Now, there is nothing legitimate in the game that could say he is or isn't. I just wanted him to be gay for this particular story. (Bad fanfiction I know) This is a request to everyone making an agrument on something. If you think a character feels a certain way then use evidence from the game or one of the two movies to support it. Don't use fanfiction. It pretty much discredits your whole argument. Thank You.

I believe he originally liked Tifa until Aeries came onto the scene, then after she died he was heartbroken and loved no one. crying

AC promoted Cloud/Tifa and some minor Cloud/Aeris. THe game was more of Aeries/Cloud ....... Yeah, I thoguth Cloud n Yuffie would've been hella funny....

Tifa. He liked Aeris to begin with, but then she died and he fell in love with his childhood friend.

FanFiction should never be used as a base of evidence for a debate because it was not developed by the original storyteller, in this case Squaresoft or Square Enix now. I write fanfiction myself and I can say because I have done it before that I can bend all the characters to my will. Case in point, in one fanfic I made Cloud homosexual. Now, there is nothing legitimate in the game that could say he is or isn't. I just wanted him to be gay for this particular story. (Bad fanfiction I know) This is a request to everyone making an agrument on something. If you think a character feels a certain way then use evidence from the game or one of the two movies to support it. Don't use fanfiction. It pretty much discredits your whole argument. I unfortunately can't read japanese (cantonese yes... not japanese) crying I just know I've read that line in many fanfiction, including one called "The Smile of the Maiden" which is on fanfiction.net, and in all of them it usually means something different. If you are able to provide an unbiased (I don't trust many fansubs to be unbiased since the gaps between the languages are so vast) english translation so I may read it myself then I may retract my statement on this validity afterwards.

Listen. On the way to a smile was an official story written by NOMURA HIMSELF. Okay? Got it? Not fanfiction. The translation's as official as it gets, it's what everyone bases their facts on AFAIK.

I think Cloud likes Tifa more. He became SOLDIER so that Tifa can notice him. And they are so cute together! Aeris looks too much like a mom @_@
And in the game, you can make Tifa have a date with Cloud (Not in the theater thing)

The novel she speaks of was actually written by the writer of FFVII, not by fans.

ICEMAN1524 i think at first aeris but in time he been lke maybe liking tifa and they make a cute couple xd I would much rather see him with Aeris. There is just something about Tifa that I don't like. I can't exactly describe the grudge I have against her, though...
