Hello. My name is Malaise. My real name is Izzy Danny Leona Xanadu "the Beast" Gonzalez. Danny, Leona, and Xanadu aren't my real middle names, but I have no middle name and I'm quite a middle name whore. Leona is my favorite of the three. Sometimes I just insist on being called Leona (amongst other titles). I was in the old guild (when guilds were just threads in the Guild forum), and if you don't remember me, my title was "Head Lice." I chose it because it didn't make sense, but if you're sharp it might make sense, since head lice were significant in the Nazi occupation. confused Salted meats were also predominant. That's beyond the point. Moreover, I always use my best English (any other language, I'm a noob gonk ). Even when I wasn't technically in the guild, I've made attempts to steer noobs the right way. Before I joined Gaia, I was weening myself off netspeak, and in Gaia (the Chatterbox specifically), only the users with the best avatars made perfect sentences. It made sense. I didn't noob around, I used appropriate language skills and dove headfirst into Gaia. My only regret is not donating to Gaia the first month I joined. Crap.
I make mistakes too. I notoriously bad at avoiding run-ons. I once received a 2 (which is an 80 or 85) instead of a 4 (which is a 100) on the Writing TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills) because I made a single run-on. A seventh grader (I was at the time) should be able to write a faultless manuscript by Texas's standards.
(Aside: "Texas's" is correct, because "Texas'," makes it as though there are multiple Texases, and I am referring to all at once. I had an English teacher whose last name was Kiggans, and she'd always be corrected for writing "Kiggans's" by the other teachers but assured them "Kiggans's" was right. End of Aside.)
