Yule Revel: Closed!!

After a long event of fun and frivolity, the Revel wound down, and the revellers headed back to their usual lives. The students began drifting off, either to their rooms or to the dreamlands right there in their chairs. The glittering lights still reflected in the waters of the Amphitheatre as Tryna began packing up the demolished drinks and foods tables.

The volunteer students everywhere began assembling litter into bins, and the soft overflow of Nehna's music gave way to the busy scraping of the the cleaning teams and Pool Boys.

Suddenly, amidst all the quiet bustle of work, an exasperated and sweating Empyrean came struggling intot he room, clothes askew and hair a tangle of gold.

"I'VE LOST A NOB!!!" screamed a distraught Professor Lelaus, panting.

"I beg your pardon?" came Eleuthero's cool and calm response from the stage. Tryna stopped in the midst of lifting a stack of dirtied plates.

"I said, I've lost nob. He's disappeared someplace...He's loose." Lelaus's face was pulled tight in a mixture of distress for his missing Nob and fear of reprimand.

"A monster loose...a Furfur, but still, let's not forget they are Monsters... How did this happen? " Nehna's voice was troubled, her fair face pulled into a cloudy expression of nitted brows. Visible, the altitude at which she hovered lowered considerably, until her slick fin was nearly touching the floor.

"There's no time for that..." Eleuthero said, waving a dismissive claw-hand to her. Tryna instinctively put down the plates she carried and tapped her trademark goggles into place from a technoring she wore in her hair. "Is there anything you can tell us? Any ideas about where it might be found?"

Lelaus had by this point caught his breath a bit and said grimly:
Clue
"Pray."

Cyphr had been crawling over the seats of the amphitheatre. Finding his chubby legs too short and clumbsy to actually leap the various steps, as he'd planned, he had resorted to squirming over each row in turn on his belly. He sat on one step, to take a break and breathe, as it proved to be tough going. From his sitting position he heard a sound. It sounded like....like an elephant. Cyphr was excited! he had always wanted to see an elephant! Bringing his hand up he scanned the horizon and in disapponitment saw no Elephant. What he did see was a very yellow girl fast asleep on the seats above him. Deciding she might know where the Elephant was hiding, cyphr wormed his way up to her level and squatted down in front of her. He folded one thick arm over his knees and reaching over his folded elbow prodded the sleeping Sanguine with one chubby forefinger. "Heeeeeey..." Cyphr said, trying to wake her.

"HEY YOUS!!!" Cyphr bellowed loudly in Kallisto's face, giving her what he considered a soft punch, but what would have sent an Academic reeling. "Wake UPS!" Cyphr grinned, finding this sort of fun. He couldn't remember why he had begun to pester the girl, but now that he was, it seemed like a good idea anyway.

Cyphr grinned happy that she was awake, apparently unaware that she might be irritated. "HULLUH!" He beamed at her, "Did yous hear the ellyphant? I heards it, but I dinna sees it anyplace!" Cyphr waved a hand towards the surrounding bowl of the Amphitheatre. Cyphr blinked at her. He was forgetting something. What was it? As he tried to put his finger on it, he continued to smile and blink foolishly. Suddenly, and without warning he bellowed out, "I'M CYPHR!!!" He'd remembered; he was very proud of himself.

"Oh." He replied. "Was I shoutin'?" He hadn't meant to. He didn't remember shouting. Cyphr shrugged and blinked with a sudden dawning awareness. "Aaaaw, I dunna hears it no mores!! It musta flewd away...." Cyphr scrambled up to stand before her, and swung his arms forward in back as he rocked from toe to heel.

"Well..." Cyphr said, thinking about how to describe the sound of the Elephant. Then, in a perfect impression of Kallisto's snoring, Cyphr made the noises he'd heard. "And I'mma not losts. I jus never come here so Is thought Is come see why I dunna. But now that Is here, I dunna knows why Is dunna..." Cyphr scrunched up his little nose, realizing he'd confused himself. He peered at Kallisto interestedly. "And yous?"

"I LIKE THE ARENA!" Cyphr squealed, with so much gusto in fact he nearly threw himself off the bench upon which he was sitting. To steady himself he grabbed onto his chunky shoes and rocked forward until he felt secure in his seat.
