SamuriNinja24 I use my 3 Leman Russes, Balisilk (spelling, to lazy to check), Hellhound, 2 Chimeras, to wear them down and then use a teleporting grey knight Terminators and Teleport squad of Grey Knights next to a Inquisitor with Teleport Homer. It has yet to be tried for I had to fix up the Russes and I just got my Basilisk. I hope it works 3nodding So you don't use them?

I've played against demon hunters and they are rock solid to beat (don't know compared to normal marines i have a lot of tyranid imperial guard and tau players where i play) but with a little.... ingenuity they can get swamped by a smart player and dragged down.

-Mykal I used the tanks by themselves when I got them and the Daemonhunters by themselves, but not them together. That was a mistake on my part domokun . When I say use I mean use as in explaining what I do, not what I have done. I am yet to combind them. I WILL use them next chance I get at my 40k place.

I have no respect for Daemonhunters WHATSOEVER. Their list is mainly meant to tale down one army. Seeing as that army is mine, I will curse thier list for as long as I am a chaos player.

And their "Adversaries" rule makes any non-Chaos game more interesting. Imagine Daemons and Tau.

Honestly, if you lack respect for the Daemonhunters because they have advantages against daemons, I am dissapointed in you.
Any sane Chaos player problably wouldn't bring daemons in numbers against Grey Knights anyway, and even if they decided to they did give the Grey Knights a negative special rule in which gives Daemons a bit of help, in order to balance out the system.
So if Daemons are that large of a neccessity in your army, if used correctly they can still be affective.

Sorry, a lot of bonuses against daemons also apply to the chaos marines and vehicles MekboyUrishima consider the numbers issue. 100 points on each side = 4 grey knights and 10+ daemons. You can easily outnumber them if done right. But to balance out, they have the guns to take them down too. It's just a matter of chance and good moves. You also get to respawn all basic Daemons with the Daemonhunters Daemonic Infestation special rule. Since the Adversary rule gives the oppoenent some basic Daemons, they also get to respawn, thus balancing the game more. So yes, Daemonhunters are gunned to take down Daemons, but have to be in order to combat the penalties they have to deal with.

I play PURE greyknights *dances* they are quite fun actually, and once I get an imperial guard army i can complement them both together xd
also daemonhunters is not just for chaos, they can fight any race in the game. Orks, eldar, dark eldar, imperial guard, spacemarines, you name it. Sure they have advantages vs chaos.. but only daemon models, basic chaos soldiers/commanders as long as they don't have any thing that makes them count as a daemon they are safe 3nodding

Pure Grey Knights are hard hitting, but at a price of 25 points per model, have the same T and save as basic 15 points marine... which makes them vulnerable to attrition. Also, they are seriously short on antitank weapons. Still , they are formidable enemies due to Fearless and HTH prowess, also their stormbolters allow them to shoot on the move with full effect. Verdict: tricky to use, but very reliable troops.

If your fighting in a city and such grey knights can usually get within assualt range of tanks without getting blown up, plus I ususally have melta bombs, frag, and targeters on my justicar which I find makes an amazing combo, since grey knights can handle close combat well I usuually assault my way through my opponenents men so i can be protected from fire and then sneak up on his tanks.. either that or rely on a lucky orbital strike shot xd it's amazing what that +1 weaponskill does for them. Saved me quite a number of times, they can take swarms of infantry on at the same time and still hold ground. Againt tyranids is the major challange, greyknights could probably handle their basic infantry but for things above you'd need to rely on shooting and some lucky assaults.. beware those genestealers gonk

Van Evok well, I am considering them as my second army if finaces allow (all that metal, ugh!) just cuz they all metal don't mean they ain't cool, you can customise metal but it's very tricky sweatdrop ... I know people who do customise metals and such and they get some very good results 3nodding , and as for a second army be ready to alter your battleplans... these guys can take a beating almost as well as necrons and have enough close combat fight to make some of the slightly elite fighters run away.. though tyranids and some eldar/dark eldar units will slaughter em, sweatdrop
