((No, I won. Since I was the last one who posted, it was kind of inevitable since she said her computer spontaneously combusted. I guess every up has its down...

Xaio was getting bored as he waited for the match to begin between Jonah and the water bender named Rave, and Xaio had finished what food was left on the tray. Thinking he would only be gone for a minute, and by the way thing were looking it wasn't going to pick up anytime soon, Xaio was going to take the tray back to the kitchen.

As Xaio walked through the large training area he noticed that Fulgar was teaching Kurai some fire bending techniques. "Seems like she's going to get the hang of bending before I do," Xaio thought just a bit jealous. Determined not to be left out Xaio returned the empty tray to the kitchen and was soon back watching Kurai get her training.

"Time to get to work," Xaio thought to himself as he popped his neck. Sliding his left foot across the ground Xaio took the horse stance position and with wide arcs brought his closed hands up close to his body, the upper arms running up and down while his forearms were parralell to the ground.

Focusing on the boulder across from him Xaio lifted his foot up and stomped down with all the strength he could muster. The boulder shifted a little bit as it came loose from the ground. In the same motion Xaio turned and caused the boulder to come rolling at him. Thankfully he was far enough to turn sideways with his left foot facing the oncoming boulder.

Taking an other deep breath Xaio stood his ground untill the boulder was right on top of him. Pushing both hands at the boulder with both palms facing forward, stopping the oncoming boulder dead in it's tracks.

Fulgar explained some flaws she had but she soon corrected them with his assitance,"Got it! keep the elbows in!". When she heard Fulgar tell her that they would be firebending she got so excited. She couldn't stop smiling,"Alright!" she said thrusting her fist up with excitment and aniticipation. She follwed Fulgars' intructions and got into the first position he taught her. Taking a deep but calming breath that was so quite that you could only see her chest rise and fall. Twisting her body so she would pivot on her back and replaced her left hand where her right hand was. She was doing these movements quickly and never crossed her legs. She thrusted her left fist along with her left leg simultaneously letting her air out threw her nostrils . A large amount fire erupted for a second a bright blue before it faded into the burning red. So much fire erupted from her hand it seemed it was never going to stop. Her left armed trembled summoning all her strength. Pulling her arm down the flame came up her arm burning the bandages off. The flame just cut off after that she opened her eyes to see she wasn't burnt or wounded. But to her shock the bandages were burnt off. She quickly covered her arm with coat making a knot so it wouldn't slip off. She stood up smiling at Fulgar, "SOOO what next?" She tried to act like nothing happened and hoped that Fulgar would join along.

"Um yes," Shai-li said, "Well sort of. I use to have a teacher; my brother was teaching me sandbending. But he left so... um... yeah." Shai-li blushed.

"But your a waterbender, right? No offense, but that doesn't help me much. Unless you know someone who can teach sandbending."

Fulgar smiled and laughed. “Kurai, I’m sure you know all of these. With your extensive knowledge and practice of other styles I’d be surprised if you didn’t know it, it is just good to keep practicing. Oh, and don’t call me ‘sempai’ please, I’m your friend and I’m also a fellow student I’m still learning as well.” Fulgar didn’t think the title of seniority was appropriate for him, he was also just a student right now, not even a master yet he didn’t deserve a title of respect like that. “Again” Fulgar said to her.

She spread he legs and faced forward, her form was absolutely beautiful, she moved with such precision and rapidity it was hard to tell that she was merely a student the blue flame erupted from her extended arm. That will never cease to amaze me Fulgar thought. She kept the flame going extending its warm, intimate fingers across the dojo. Fulgar glanced at Kurai, sweat dripped from her face, she had to concentrate extremely hard to keep the flame going.

She finished and looked to Fulgar to see if she had done well. He didn’t answer her. He sat there with his hands at his side, his face was distraught with thought, and he didn’t know how to answer her. She had definitely done well, but she couldn’t control it. Then it hit him she was holding her breath in for the extension of the technique.

Fulgar looked up to her; she was bent over holding onto her knees breathing deeply he could tell from her rising back and chest, air wasn’t getting in fast enough.

“First of all, what you want to do instead of bend down like that, never do that it doesn’t allow very much air in stand up straight, put your hands on your head it allows your lungs to expand. Secondly don’t hold your breath when you do it, get into your stance and one quick movement and quick and sharp release of breath through the nostrils will be easier on your body. Like this:” Fulgar moved quickly his feet to each side and arms in position faster than he ever had he looked to the side fire burns from his fist you could hear the air thrust from his nostrils as he moved. “See? All the air is released once you complete the movement, holding it in will only get yourself hurt. If it helps when you complete the movement make a noise to release the air, yell something, anything it could be just a yell or it could be something like ‘PEANUT BUTTER’ it doesn’t matter, as long as you get the air out of your lungs. Trying to keep the fire going for an extended period of time will do you no good either. The motion is strong and fast, so is the fire that results.” Fulgar thought about it maybe she would do better to concentrate on multiple things… “Kurai, do this once more, then we’ll move onto something else.”

(wow we made some serious progress, i remember when this thread only had like 4 pages.)

Rave bowed in respect towards the earth bending opponent. "I hope I will not bore you," Rave said with a smirk on his face. Using only his index and middle fingers together, Rave bent streams of water out of the two gourds and made them flow around his palms. Rave extended his left foot in front of him, shifting the weight towards his right. Raising his arms, he placed his right arm, head level, his palms facing towards Jonah. His left arm, however, was raised only up to his chest, his palms in a downward angle position facing Jonah as well. This was his ready stance.

Rave would be the first to make a move in this sparring session. Crossing his right leg over his left, Rave extended his right arm backwards. His left foot then uncrossed, shifting his weight onto that leg as Rave swung both arms in a wide arc towards his left side as if he was charging some kind of projectile attack. Shifting his weight back to the right leg, Rave used the same leg to step forward. Rapidly, Rave flung his right arm back and forth, sending multiple icicles towards Jonah.

What had happened was that the water Rave summoned from his gourds were all shaped into a sphere his left hand was holding. Using only his index and middle finger, he bent small strands of water from that sphere out into the open one at a time, turning them into icicles before actually being thrust out, aiming at Jonah.

She saw him smile and how it turned to grimance when she called him Fu-san.{C} She pouted looking up at him,"You don't like it when I call you Fu-san,..huh?" Kurai blushed looking at him with big puppy dog eyes{B} , "Its just I thought it was cute and easier to remember and say..."Kurai pulled up her hand in the shape of a bunny made her hand bob from one side to the other {A} , "Cute like a bunny" she stoped look up at him. She flashed a big smile, "But no biggie! I'll call you Fulgar" After that she began play with her new obtained fire techique. She smiled like a kid riding their bike for the very first time. She ran at such a speed that her arms went to her side. She ran up the pillar pushing off it giving herself a flying dragon curve andform , having enough air she tucked in her arms and rotated rapidly. Kurai landed doing a split her arms went out parallel to each other, "Cya!" Fire bursted from her hands but did not shoot off. She was controling the fire like a wip. Rising from her spilt position the fire came back concetrated in her hands. She preformed a rolling punch with her left hand, the fire went out lashing out. As soon as she saw it fully entend she bounced slight before doing a no hand side flip. Kurai landed in a perfect horse position, she began rotating her hands infront of her chest. Her hands never touched each other but rotated around a 'insivible sphere' and all the sand loose on the ground started to be sucked in. Her hands began to rotating faster, there was so much sand accumlated in the 'invisible sphere' it was large thick ball of sand.{1:34-1:44} She shot her hands to the side causing the sand to flow everywhere, there was so much sand in the air you could bearly see your hand infront of your face. Once it cleared up she was no where to be see. Until it began getting bright which was odd since the sun was setting. Kurai fell from the sky engulfed in blue flames she landed on one knee before standing stright up. She took a deep breath in bring her arms in aswell,"CYA!" her arms shot to the side as the blue flame vanished off her. She gave him a goofy smile, "Lucky me! I didn't get burned" (sp? sweatdrop ) She laughed stretching. "Oi! Fulgar im going to run around town I need to get somethings you wanna come? or do you want to stay here?" She said as she troted toward the door way. "So what is it?"

( rofl i love your drawings, so funny What do you think? if any of you were wanting to see what kind of fighting Fulgar uses, this is an excellent example, he uses mainly northern mantis as displayed there but also encorporates normal boxing. LCG by now youre probably enough training to be [LB] -4 or 5)

Fulgar roared with laughter. "cute like a bunny, eh? It doesnt matter to me, call me what you want, it just kinda took me off guard." Fulgar said returning her smile.

Fulgar waited and watched to see how she would use the new technique he just taught her. She began at a run and got into an amazing display of technique, she'd used the heat and friction of heating the air into a ball to draw the loose sand from the floor and had it burst out around her. Fulgar had never even dreamed of heating air like that! It was definetely neat, then there was that blue flame again, absolutely wonderful, he couldnt see what she was doing through the dust and she was no where in sight when it cleared she dropped onto one knee from a perch at the roof, blue flames engulfed her she got up and it was gone.

Fulgar was in a state of shock from what he'd just witnessed a beggining bender perform. She got up and acted like she hadnt just done something so completely amazing. She invited him to go into town with her, Fulgar was ready to get out of the dojo, some boring stuff there.
