Good thinking. c: I used to solve a 'cryptoquip' in the daily paper. They were relatively easy (not bragging, they were pretty short and simple) so it was a nice 2 or 3 min activity I looked forward to. This game has made me realize that I miss them.
And thanks! o 3o I kept doing the same thing (stopping and admiring my avatar). I can't take credit for it. I was having trouble making a pretty green and gold mermaid avatar. I asked someone for help and... that avatar was what they came up with. XD; I told them that they failed. It wasn't a mermaid. ...And it barely passed the color criteria by having some green and gold flecks. XDD They said it was impossible to make something nice with my items. I agreed. (I even borrowed some items for that avatar.) XD;
sweatdrop At first I was surprised by the harsh failure tag, but you certainly are correct that it didn't really speak green and gold.
I was making avatars for others for a bit to get some practice. The hardest thing about making avatars was to go by the criteria the user wanted and not get pulled into making something that I would wear, lol.
---- other post I kept meaning to add your mermaid avatar to my favorites and forgot. Could you post the favorites link for that avatar? (Let me know if you are not familiar with finding the favorites link).
XDDD Oh man, no! I could never be that mean. I only kept a straight face while I said it cuz I /didn't/ mean it, yaknow? Totally teasing. But XD they agreed that the avatar wasn't mermaid and didn't have much green or gold. But XDD what they came up with was pretty. @ 3@
Yessss I went through a few years where I'd rate and give suggestions based on, like, an overall idea of what's best. I relaxed over the years. I finally realized that everyone is happiest when you work within what they want -- but just tweak it a little to make it a bit more stylish. <.< >.> I used to spend hours on Tektek. Hours. xD ... I haven't been able to get used to the Avatar Builder interface. I can't say what I dislike about it... but I just can't play on it for very long before I'm just done. <.<;
As to mermaid avatar, did you favorite the one you were thinking of? (The octopus) I checked my favs and there aren't any mermaids saved. XD;

I keep using the term mermaids for octo-mermaids/cecaelia since they fall under the same category as the fish-mermaids and other-tail-mermaids in my mind. Very confusing. xp
It was the octopus avatar I had in mind. Was this the only version?
I don't think there are too many users out there that prefer Gaia's Avatar Builder over Dress Up, lol. Maybe I just spend so much time on it that I'm used to its quirks. lol
