Nikolas was rather enjoying himself with the decreased group of of individuals around him surprisingly enough it was just enough to be a team. Though, he was not assigned to one yet, he was rather pleased that he was able to make friends? comrades? allies? acquaintances with other students. After all it never hurt to establish a rapport with other fighters if only to establish an understanding of the groups combat strengths and weaknesses. As the saying goes
"Having Steadfast Support on all Fronts Gives us the Freedom to Keep our Eyes on Target."
Taking all of the advice given and making a mental note to keep both eyes open for a Rhinoceros type faunus, Nikolas continued to simply enjoy the company of this small cohort of huntsmen in training. honestly he wished he was able to get assigned to his own team but he needed to wait and be patient.
'Infinite patience brings immediate results'
old words etched in an awards plaque in a wood paneled office flashed through the young soldiers mind. Old lessons learned. Azura had been quiet for an extended period of time so Nikolas shifted his eyes over to her only to find her adrift in her own thoughts which she almost immediately snapped back to reality. curious, Nikolas debated on inuring what had caught her thoughts in an ambush but decided against it. and lapsed in to a comfortable silence. When it seemed like two more of there group was about to leave on an... extra credit opportunity, the Huntsmen in training gave his goodbyes and turned to his final companion who had mentioned a plague sweeping through Vale. honestly that was rather frightening news to Nikolas who had spent a considerable amount of time assisting in a Atlasian Refugee Camp when he was not on Rotation with some of the Senior huntsmen or Drill Instructors "Plague..." he was about to inquire further when another prominant individual made their arrival through the hustle and bustle of the crowd of students. a rather tall gent with impressive foot ware.

being the new guy Nikolas turned to Cecil, " You have been here longer than I have, you know that guy?" the young Atlasian indicated with a nod of the head.

In truth, he had not cared much when he was being assigned to ask about the whole process of it. He didn't feel stressed about who he was paired with, though he had hoped it was going to be all girls in his team... Or at least guys of a similar mind to him. So he had been in the go with the flow mentality for it and did not ask about it at all... thankfully those of team Dark as he found Azura and Cecil to be of knew it at least. Which by the way they were talking, they seemed to be one of the older teams. It wasn't particularly interesting answers to him so he was glad he hadn't spent the time asking about it before. Not that it really would've mattered; he had lucked out incredibly with his team. He enjoyed all of their company, even Tsuki, and would not trade them for anyone else. Though he was beginning to learn how unstable Astra was, how much of a mess Rowan could be... and how violent Tsuki was. He sincerely hoped he survived his team and kept things in control as he had so far. One slip up and he was a dead man... Pushing the thought from his mind, he would refocus on the conversation at the mention of some very tall Rhino girl who apparently was very unstable. His first thought was predictable. 'Is she the athletic body type...or the extremely busty one...?' He silently wondered in his mind, but knew not to ask that one aloud. He needed to keep his true intentions secret except to those he could count as allies... or manipulate into being one. The emotionally unstable and manhandling part didn't bother him too much; every girl here seemed armed to the teeth and deadly, and he wasn't looking to pursue anything with her. He just wanted to know how attractive she looked in case he wanted to do a raid. Though right now Yuki was taking priority with that for him... Though he also knew his sister was going to be joining the school soon, so he also wanted to give her a welcoming prank.
For now he shook the thoughts from his mind. He surprisingly had more important things to do... like this training so Tsuki wouldn't attack him later. As Azura agreed to continue the extra credit and have Cecil stay with the new guy, Ryker felt some relief to that. It had gotten a lot colder with him around, and he wasn't exactly sure on this guys mental boundaries were with other guys. Sometimes people snapped out of nowhere, and you could never tell what triggered it. Even if Ryker had saved himself to a decent degree in his own mind. However, he wasn't about to drag her away like Yuki did. She was taken by the guy, so he figured giving them a little time to say goodbyes was the nice thing to do. He also had no intention of stealing Cecil's girl... flirting maybe though. So Ryker would smile in a friendly manner to everyone there of them. Once Azura was ready to go, he would say goodbye to all the others and leave.
Cecil could see the uncomfortableness in Azura's face as she seemed to be pondering something, which worried him as he raised a hand up and rested it upon her shoulder. If it was something she couldn't speak of, he would be there to help ease her mental weight as he heard Nikolas spoke of a saying, a smile crossing Cecil's face as he nodded his head. Soon enough, Azura soon spoke of the Albino Milk Tank, or the Seven-foot-tall Rhino that Azura called her and was forewarning the two males about her with Cecil nodding his head. Azura then capitalized on further explaining the use of Scrolls in informing of others that their teams have been made. Soon enough, Azura paid attention to speak of her sparring session with the newest friend before them as she asked him a favor. He smiled and nodded his before he leaned close, kissing Azura softly on the lips as he pulled back for a second.
"I'll show him around, but remember I have my own fight to attend to. Good luck though, I'll catch up with you after my battle." He told her with a smile before letting go of her arm as he walked towards Mr. Chernyy and could see him trying to ask about the Plague before he too saw a rather bare-chested man with a red jacket zip on past them on skates as Cecil turned to Nikolas to answer his new question. "Unfortunately not.... he's a new arrival like you and Ryker." As was expected, Cecil was blunt in his response, as he never saw that man around, but didn't like the air of confidence he had with the way he walked. "Follow me, I'll show you around." He told the man with a nod as he began to walk away from Nikolas.

Azura Knight It seemed her introspection about Nikolas's fate hadn't gone totally unnoticed, as she felt Cecil's hand on her shoulder. When she looked over and saw the worry Azura gave a small smile reassuring smile. She was okay and would tell him about it later, not wanting to draw attention to the Atlassian's misfortune. Nikolas spoke a quote about teamwork. It seemed like he would make a good friend and ally, and she hoped they would end up working together, perhaps on a mission. "We all win if we work together." She responded, which might seem like an odd sentiment for the shy girl who usually preferred to spend time alone. To everyone except Cecil that is, who she had already expressed her distaste for groups like the Tribe and other bandits when they were on the brink of extinction.
She could feel her cheeks heat up as Cecil kissed her. She liked it when Cecil kissed her, but she was just starting to get used to the idea of holding hands with him in public. Then while she was busy overthinking everything, he pulled back and agreed to do her favour. Azura only managed a muted nod, before following Ryker to go do their extra credit assignment. They didn't go more than a few steps before an individual she had never seen before entered the courtyard. Bare-chested and with a swagger that reeked of arrogance Azura hoped he was someone she would never need to work with. Watching him pose and wave, it wasn't difficult to tell he was the type of person she wouldn't enjoy. And just as soon as he entered he was gone again. "So, what should we do for our extra credit assignment?" She asked Ryker.

Nikolas smiled at the display of affection between Cecil and Azura while listening to Cecil's response regarding the gent with the skates. before shrugging and following after his fellow student. his head remained on a swivel while taking in the sights and sounds of the academy while preparations were made for the beginning of a new batch of students academic careers. he was about to inquire about several other odd behaviors that he had taken note of but his scroll chimed out an alarm, Indicating that a new message had arrived. checking the message and reading it twice Nikolas's professional demeanor reasserted itself causing him to involuntarily straighten his back and square his shoulders. His paperwork and permits had been finalized and he was now cleared to carry and utilize his weapons and semblance. taking several steps to catch up with Cecil, The Atlasian Huntsman in training showed the documentation and inquired. "Would the armory and shooting range be available at this time or would we need to schedule something out?"
Nikolas would not admit it but he felt a little lost without the comforting weight of his weapon on his shoulder.
"It's how you use your power that matters. You should be proud of your abilities, We know what we have to do. Let's go."

╔════════════RENA KIYOKO════════════╗ Rena stood off the main paths, tucked away into one of her many obscure corners she'd found on campus. Damn rules. She needed weed. Her parents and brother knew it, why couldn't these teachers understand that? Regardless, she had learned to stash her supplies in her shirt or in the waistband of her pants....wait...did she remember pants? A quick pat confirmed she had. Anyway, no one really would just grab her stuff if she kept it under her outer clothes. Not only was it inappropriate, her semblance deterred physical contact to those who knew what it did. She was finishing a joint she'd just rolled up, looking around to make sure no one was nearby.
For the time, she had no team. One dropped out, another was pulled, and another had requested a team change to be on the same team as their sibling. Lucky b*****d. Her own twin brother was out there right now on a mission. They bickered yeah, and she occasionally helped herself to his stuff when he wasn't looking, but, they worked well together despite that. With a final drag, she finished off her joint, tossing it down and using her boot to bury it with dirt. After a few moments, she exhaled and dug out some hand sanitizer and a strong perfume to help mask the smell before stepping out around the corner and onto the pathway. She had to admit though, there were a lot of incredibly cute girls about. After a few moments, she realized that in her high daze, she'd been walking aimlessly staring at girls' butts the whole time. ::======>>Valleria Teal<<======:: Valleria had a very long trip on the plane from where she lived at, most of the flight she lied around with her music or just went to sleep, it was the most boring thing she had to do, just waiting for the plane to move, she even thought she could out run the plane from how slow it felt. Finally, after a couple of hours, Valleria could see Beacon threw the window of the aircraft; she took off her headphones so she could focus on the beautiful place from above, it was her first time in a school and the first time she went to such crowded place without her father. Valleria went down from the plane and just stood there for five minutes having no idea what to do, she didn’t have anyone to guide her or tell her where to go, she never felt so lost and confused since when she first woke up in the forest, and yet she couldn’t stop feeling excited, you could almost see her eyes sparkling from it. After the excitement wore off a little, Valleria decided to walk around and discover the place herself since she just didn’t want to talk to anyone there and just wanted to focus on herself, she is not very friendly and would rather keep to herself than talk to new people, it makes her feel much more comfortable. Valleria looked around for a good place to rest with a great view, to have her perfect resting spot just like she had back at home, unfortunately Beacon isn’t snowy but she still was determent to find her new perfect place. While searching for that spot, she saw a blond girl with rabbit ears from not too far away; she had a weird look on her face that Valleria couldn’t figure out what it meant and just stared at her for about ten seconds just to turn away to keep on searching, but then she realized that she have no idea what she is supposed to do in this school, so she turned back and walked towards the faunis girl and said "Hello, my name is Valleria and I'm new here, is it ok if you could show me around and tell me where I need to go?" ╔════════════RENA KIYOKO════════════╗ Rena pulled out her scroll and loaded up a game to keep her eyes from getting her into trouble. She'd been caught before and it upset some people. She snickered to herself a bit as her game was already weird, some random game called...Polyblank...whatever that was supposed to mean, but, when baked, it was a real trip to play. Just as she was getting into it, she vaguely became aware of someone approaching her. And they were speaking? It took her a moment to process as she pocketed her scroll. Rena stuck out from the rest as, with the exception of her face, no skin was exposed, even her hands were covered.
"Heh. Of all the people you picked the pothead. I guess I can show you around. I can't say no to a cutie. Name's Rena, and don't worry, I'm not gonna start being creepy just cause I said you're cute. And I'm supposed to avoid touching anyone as much as possible, so, forgive me not shaking hands. My semblance kinda doesn't have an off switch."She stretched a little as she thought. Logically, the first place the new girl should go was to the Admin offices to report in, but, there was no chance in hell Rena would be going near them. She was high and would likely get in trouble. It was kinda annoying they were so uptight about it. She needed weed to function.."Probably need to hit up the offices...but...I ain't goin there. Every time I've been there, it was because a teacher confiscated my s**t. It's kinda bullshit. I need the stuff. Like, crippling migraines and get really twitchy without it...and I had those problems before I started smoking. Valleria already felt very uncomfortable approaching Rena from the beginning and talking to her made her even more uncomfortable, "its ok I can go there by myself, thank you" , as she politely smiled and walked away. Valleria began walking around the school looking for the offices, but then realized, where are they even supposed to be? Outside? Maybe somewhere in the school? She has no idea, Valleria sighed as she went inside the school to find it. After going through the same dorms and the entrance door for what feels like an eternity (but in reality it was only a couple of minutes) she felt exhausted and overwhelmed, "how can a place be so big yet I always get to the same place, its ridiculous" . Valleria decided that she should just go back outside and relax; the school has defeated her already even before she started her studies in it. Defeated and quite sad Valleria went back outside to a familiar area; she recognized it mainly because Rena was still in the same place, so she approached her spoke quietly and with a sad tone "please show me around, thought I could do it alone" . It didn't really matter though. She wasn't about to chase after someone who insisted on doing it themselves despite, from the looks of it, had no clue where to even begin. Instead, she simply shrugged to herself and pulled her scroll back out and leaping straight up onto an overhanging section of decorative roofing a couple stories up and sat on the edge to resume her game. She had just finished a 'mission' when she saw the girl return, looking around, still totally lost. She waved and the girl approached, admitting she did need help after all.
Pocketting her scroll, Rena hopped off the roof and landed perfectly in front of the girl."No big deal. The place is waaay too massive for what it is. Bet there are unused places all over. My twin Brother and I were lost at first too. Though, we arrived at the start of session so, we got a little tour. You got a message from the school? You should have if you're already enrolled. There should be a map in there. The treeline nearby leads to the forest and training grounds, though, there are other training areas too. The large shorter building is the cafeteria. And it looks like you managed to find the dorms on your own seeing as you came from that direction. Faculty and admin offices are in the giant imposing tower of 'I'm super important and not compensating for anything'. I am not used to being in a place like this or in general a public place, the most i have ever been to is the city next to my father's small house, and even then i was always with him so, i am pretty overwhelmed. As they walked toward the cafeteria valleria she became even hungrier, she didn’t eat for almost eight hours, the food on the plane was pretty bad so she didn’t eat any of it. "Rena may I ask you a question? Like this one horse girl that showed up needs to eat as much as any three or four people combined will eat at some special occasion. And I've seen people who need spicy food to fuel their semblances, or cold food, and there are others who only eat raw or have carb heavy needs. Aya was surprised by the sudden hug from Jackie, and after a bit of being motionless she smiled and hugged back "I had a great time with you, thank you so much for showing me the way here and for spending time with me, I will see you soon! After so long, it was finally good to be back on the school grounds. Richard felt a sense of relief as he tread along the stone walkway. He had been out for a little while due to a certain incident that put him out of commission. It wasn't only him either. Many students...well the mass populous was effected by something that caused all semblances to go haywire. It wasn't a fun time for anyone and it made many problems. When it happened a lot of people were put into a coma due to the strain, Richard would be one of these victims. Hopefully nothing like that event would happen again. No telling what sort of chaos would ensue if it did. The good thing was he had recovered, his own semblance intact and he was ready to get back to it. Being a hunter was his calling after all.
Though there was a weird thought that persisted in his head. Richard already knew he had to be reassigned to a team. Teams were getting switched all the time due to the strain of the grimm and everything. Still he wanted to get rid of the thoughts. He literally needed a distraction. Something to send his mind upon a different set of tracks. The young man would perk up upon hearing a tune. His attention turned to a white haired faunus who was playing a small flute near the fountain. The melody itself was rather familiar...but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. With the intrigue in mind he would choose to approach. "My apologizes, I don't mean to interrupt." Richard would start to try to get her attention. "What song is that? I felt like I have heard it somewhere." He asked in a genuine manner.

As Aya was playing her flute she sat next to a near fountain, closed her eyes and let her fingers move on their own as she got to her favorite part of the song. Not too long after she hears the voice of a student asking her a question, Aya finished up the song and then answered "oh hello, it’s a song from a game I was playing a while back on the scroll, wild rifts I believe?
