Hitsu probably would have had to have been literally dying of thirst before she'd resort to such an unpalatable beverage. She did, however, need things to keep herself warm.
She located the Professor where he was awaiting her, and offered up the can.

Professor Voss scoffs at the apparently sincere warning, taking the gardening gloves out of his pocket and offering them to her in exchange for the can. "I am sure to be a force of sheer unbridled drunken destruction at the dormitories, thank you," he tells her, "Please enjoy the gloves. They make my hands sweat the Devil, so by all means, take them." It's kind of funny. Under most circumstances, he doesn't even like beer, and this is sure to be a chore to choke down, but it's far preferable to drying out. The human body can only last so long without hydration, after all. The contorted, strained face he makes when he cracks open the can and takes a swig probably makes Hitsu's journey to the junkyard worth it. (What kind of German doesn't like beer?! Or maybe he just doesn't like Canadian beer. What an elitist jerk.) "Thank you."

Scott makes his way to the Joker's stand, weaving through the crowd seemingly always filling the Junkyard carefully, and offering up a can of gasoline when he finally makes it to his destination. "Got any good info?" He asks the hooded youth, offering up what he hoped to be a friendly grin.

Since he had a crowbar, Emmanuel had no real use for his knife anymore, but perhaps he could get some useful information for it. Micah had a small tube of ointment, but not nearly enough food. If he was smart, he figured, he could avoid getting too badly hurt, but food was a necessity. He was holding out a tube of something to trade (or so she figured, anyhow), but she could barely hold any more stuff. Still, he looked like he could use some help. Vayne looked at the bottle of pills and then at his water. Well he didn't need more water, and he was nearly literally starving. To the point where even the food pills seemed like a good idea. "You sure?" Micah said, but he accepted the pills anyway, looking a little embarrassed. It stung his pride somewhat to take a handout, but he hadn't found food in his scavenging recently, and he was starting to feel the effects of that lack. "Thanks," he said gruffly.

Grant still hasn't had very much luck finding any water, so he reluctantly trudges down to the junkyard to see if anybody can help him out.
