Rai didn't want to say it but this was a last resort situation. " I'll have the Tortellini and the Parmigiana as well. Rai set the menu aside and sipped his wine, hoping he didn't look to stupid and plain.

"Oh? I never took you for the Tortellini type," Julian commented after the waiter had left to set their orders. He didn't drive on that subject, however. "So, Rai.. Tell me something about yourself. Hobbies? Families? Surely your life cannot consist only of your work and cleaning up after a messy roommate."

With such sensitive hearing, it was rather easy to catch the mumbled statement. Julian said nothing of it though as he himself smiled down at the richly patterned cloth covering the table. "You're an artist, are you?" he replied. "I would have never guessed. Perhaps later you will have to show me some of your works, won't you?"

"A touch of simplicity now and again always does the mind good," Julian said, offering to pour Rai another glass of wine. He knew the other had said he'd drink only the one, but he couldn't resist but offer again. "Leonardo, Lucian, Van Gogh.. Though some of their works may seem right to the point, they always had so much deeper meaning. For some reason, they couldn't just.. draw a picture. They had to create another world. But you.. You capture moments, don't you?" He paused to finish the rest of his own wine. "But why ever would you think of me as seeing better things?"

"Though it can be afforded, that doesn't keep me from stopping at one every now and again," Julian said just as two waiters came up with their food. They set each order in front of them before leaving quickly. He had kept from mentioning exactly why he went to those liquor stores. Not for the wine, but for those easy meals of drunken humans that tended to loiter around the street just near. "Well, I'm most definitely honored you see me in such a light, but as for now, I think you should prepare yourself to taste real dining. It'd definitely do that skinny body of yours some good."

Julian hadn't been hungry from the moment he walked in up to now. At least.. not for this type of food. He was a vampire. He didn't need to eat, but it always did help the illusion of being mortal. Also finishing off his final glass of wine, his tongue was stained a pleasant dark red from the liquid. He showed no sign of being affected, however. "Mm.. Well, that was delicious," he commented, wiping his mouth with the napkin he had folded neatly into his lap. "I hope you were satisfied with everything."

((*chuckles* tis alrite^___^)) rion smiled softly and couldn't help but snicker alitte at his amusing reaction as he resisted the urge to brush hus hand on his cheek softly. it was just so tempting to do that as he could hardly control himself. after a few seconds, he again tried to get up with the help of the bench, and offered his hand to him, "need a hand up?" he asked warmly and smoothly.
